Just a quick posting as I have been on the computer way too long today. Mainly trying to delete old files, organize a few and get some descriptions written. I have not added any new items to the Etsy shop in a while and will not until June. By that time several more items will need to be renewed and I also have some new items that I need to add. Getting the pictures taken and the descriptions written are time consuming at best. I am attempting to get some of those done now and then get them online a little at a time once June starts. Also I think that with the situation as it stands now that more people may be doing their holiday shopping online this year. I have been able to make the last four items just using the items from my stash and hope to get more things completed that way as well.
The household chores are getting done but with just me here there is not that much to do now that I have it pretty much in order. I did a little reorganizing in the bead room again yesterday as I was in the process of putting away the items that I used to do the last several projects and saw a way to make things more manageable. Also I was able to organize shipping supplies in an easier to use manner. Would be nice to be able to use some of these this year. I was happy that several items also were added to the trash during this process.
I was able to get most of the vitamins I was running low on at Walgreens that other day. Was told that they expected a truck in sometime today so I think I may venture out tomorrow to see if the ones I was missing are there. I still have a few but would like to get some before the need arises.
Need to catch up reading the thread as I think I am several days behind. Take care all and stay safe.

We've been OK for TP and PT but with 6 people arriving, I need to stock up again. In the end DS1/DDIL/E and DS3 arrive on Sun, and DS2/P arrive on Wed or Thurs. I really hope I can find some more disinfectant wipes too.
This weekend - mark 2 final papers - dentist/Fri
ETA: Got TP and PT but they laughed when I asked if they had any wipes. There's a supermarket across from the dentist, I'll try there.

Got very lucky and scored 4! 5-lb. bags of King Arthur all-purpose flour plus a 4-pack of Cottonelle TP at the grocery store yesterday. I've been on the hunt for flour for weeks and weeks. I typically use 5 lbs/week in normal times, so I've been stressing on that front. The TP I'll give to my DD. Before the lockdown I had 2 cases of TP from Amazon and still have 1.5 cases left. DD really prefers the brand name, so she'll be happy.
My baking business has really fallen off with the advent of Covid-19. I did get a county grant to make up for 4 weeks profit. Don't know when it will be comfortable for my customers. Maybe after our county is open, in about a month, I'll put out an email and offer some specials, like key lime pie, mushroom quiche, cheese rolls and strawberry shortcake. From the flour shortage ongoing I guess a lot of people are baking who typically don't.

finnime since people never stopped ordering takeout, maybe send out an email now? It's graduation season. Since you scored the flour, it's worth a try! :-) I took out the inflatable pools from the shed. I thought we had two, but DS2 brought us one last year so we had three. One is completely chewed up, I threw it out. One is slightly chewed up, so I ordered repair patches. The third is fine so I packed it up and put it in the basement. Hopefully there's less wildlife down there.

Since I was in the shed I did the annual shed clean up. I couldn't bear to take everything out and put it all back. I took out everything that was on the floor, and moved things on both shelves to clean.
Since I threw out one pool, put a pool in the basement, and threw out the (chewed up) scooter cover, there's more room in there now. Next time we go to Ikea we're going to get some plastic storage tubs. Hopefully they're mouse proof.
ETA: These are kiddie pools. :-)

I was going to venture to Costco today to get another package of TP--down to 11 rolls--and then I realized that it's Friday of Memorial Weekend. Yeah, nevermind. I can wait until next week. With Sunday being a day of lessened restrictions, it may be busier than I'd like.
In other news, I'm starting the homeownership journey again. Got my pre-approval yesterday and will start looking at houses in the coming weeks. My lease is up in October and next week is, pretty much, June so...it's time.

Good luck with the house hunt Nidena!
This weekend
- dentist/Fri - mark 2 final papers
The dentist went well! I felt very safe. I got there 10 min early and texted to ask if I should wait or come up (he's a friend too.) He texted come up, and took me immediately (no waiting room). DH and DS3 will make a double appt when DS3 arrives.
I also scored two (small) packs of disinfectant wipes at the second supermarket!
There were a few items on DS1's (long) grocery list that I couldn't find, but nothing essential. I'll find them at the more expensive store but I wanted to get as much as I could from the cheaper stores.
All in all a quiet but productive day: supermarket X 2, shed, and dentist. :-)

Today I’m attempting baby photography for my SIL and we plan to start when the baby goes does for his morning nap. We shall see how smoothly this goes! My brother is taking the 3yo out with him for errands so we are hoping for an hour or so when the house is quiet and the baby is cooperative. Or at least stays asleep.
I have started the quilt assembly and the pink section is done and the red is underway. I do have a lot of fire pieces to add in so I’ll be figuring that out next.

I was working like a maniac all day yesterday at job, none on my paper for the 2nd writing sample. After noon here, just finished breakfast, need to get started and perform quickly. Dreary outside too. The piece I'm working on was supposed to have a coauthor, who I contacted in march when i was trying to reinvigorate my research work, with no reply, and reached out again this week to silence. Not sure what is happening but was hoping he'd done a bit of work on this. oh well. as I said, coauthors haven't really worked out for me. Please send me good thoughts to get through the day, successfully, productively, and with TY notes and samples (good samples!) sent..... Feeling a bit anxious and hopeless, to be honest. Carpal tunnelly too, so a difficult day ahead. Already procrasting on ym.. ok - on to the task at hand.... I am super dehydrated too. Need to get with the water, that may be affecting my mood a bit as well....

Thanks debthaven! It went well and he slept or dozed most of the time. He did get me good with about 3 oz of milk right down my top (which is why I wore an older shirt) and halfway into the nekkid pics he peed all over the blanket. I got copies of all the pics so I can edit the best ones (they are, understandably, sleep deprived. I stayed and played with the 3 yo for awhile but really need to change my clothes! Cute baby pics: imgur.com/gallery/9dS4Fr5

Been very productive thus far! Falling down a rabbit hole right now so taking a bit of a break.
This isn't going to get done in a day. No one wants it today most likely anyway! I will take the weekend and follow up on Tuesday.

The workers finished up yesterday with the main part of the work. A guy who does drywall will be out at some point, maybe end of next week. Don't care when it happens and the contractor knows that. It is a small job but will require me to repaint that one wall of the kitchen. Meh, add it to the list of other things that need some paint. Yesterday after work I put the first coat of paint on the window sill/trim in my bedroom. Tonight it got a second coat and the office window got it's first coat. After it had sufficient time to dry I hung the drapes back up in the bedroom. Tomorrow when I change the sheets on the bed I will move the bed back up against the wall under the window. My main goal this weekend is outdoor painting. The indoor painting can happen in dribs and drabs as I have time. I do want to get a second coat on the window in the office so the drapes in there can go back up. The window faces south and my work computer is set up to look out that window. Yesterday I had to put up a big piece of cardboard in the window to block the sun and glare so I could see my screen. Yesterday I also got the lawn mowed and picked the first strawberries of the season. They were very good on some vanilla ice cream last night.

This weekend - mark 2 final papers/Sat Marking all done except for my last summer course, which has no writing!
My teaching binders have been in DS2's room. I just put them on my teaching shelves. Given the changes at Job 1, I can probably get rid of a few, but I want to be sure.

Good morning all! Two consecutive nights of more than 5-6 hours of sleep! Wow. Makes a difference. I made a good dent in my work yesterday, feel I can finish by Monday if I push. Looking forward to my weekend of writing! Will do pseudo-pomorodoros where I write for a block - not really timed, just as long as I feel productive and all, but then take large breaks for either cleaning, yard work, eating, a walk, maybe yoga, as the day goes on. Maybe I should time it? I did hear back from coauthor - he is interested but unable to put any time into it now, so I will whip it into shape as much as I can over the weekend, and both use as my writing sample and send to our targeted journal. It's been 2 months since I sent out my first one - and still no word! Generally - their average was 45 days to first response - pre-covid. There have been about 4-5 status updates of "reviewers assigned" dates changing. I'm not sure why that keeps updating the date? My understanding is that one of the journal editors do a cursory review to make sure an article is good enough to send to a full review. I think I can be confident I passed that hurdle? I think the guidance I saw on the journal for this one I'm working on now said 3-4 months for initial feedback. So long! Been focused so much on getting things up to standard in my mind before sending out, that I wasn't talking these outside timelines into real consideration. I only have about 2.5 weeks left of library access, so make hay while the sun shines! How is time slipping by so quickly? Will be tough if the feedback I get requires digging into the literature on a certain aspect I hadn't considered.....hmmmm....where will that leave me? Next week I will contact a librarian to see what can be offered given covid and I can't go to the library physically. After finishing this piece, I will focus just on gathering all the articles I'll need to finish up the other papers - but then - I better keep the fire under me because after 6 month or so you need to update with fresh publications. Given the time it is taking to get these ready to send out, I will need to continue pushing to make sure I send out while still timely on the recent references. ok making a list! - yoga
- cleaning
- walk
- yard work
- cleaning
- yard work
these will be my breaks, I'll try to do concentrated 30-45 minutes of writing before each one. Will have some food breaks too, but tag those onto the other breaks as I go.

These two PhD's researched all things about raising babies and decided they could put him on a schedule. I don't think they have figured out quite yet that they are on his schedule.

Sounds like a good plan Rukh! Too funny TheO ... they think they're in charge. We're going to our best friends' house for dinner tonight. The idea of going out in the evening for the first time in 2.5 months feels weird.
We'll go to the open-air market tomorrow am for fresh fruit and veg.

Hi! This list just keeps getting added to with moth days and tasks. I’ve already done weeding this morning. DD#1 came home yesterday. She just walked in the house without telling us! She lives in Seattle, and it’s at least a seven hour drive to get home. I haven’t seen her since the begin today March and DH hasn’t seen her since Christmas.

I got a good days painting in. There are just 8 more boards and the everything on the house will have 1 coat of color. Because of how the sun was hitting I did the second coat of color on part of the front of the house. The front of the house has a 'U' for the front door so I did the part where the bedrooms are. Late afternoon I took a little nap and felt better. ETA: I forgot that this morning I moved my bed back to where it belongs and it has nice clean sheets. I also did 2 loads of laundry today.

We had such a nice evening! It was great to see our friends again.
I woke up early and: - moved things around the kids' bathroom vanity to empty another drawer - brought the car seat up from the basement - wiped down the used stroller we bought last week - went to the market - went to the supermarket (again) - ran and emptied the dishwasher - did laundry
