Except for those 17 women who said, “He did that to me”. So either everyone is lying or everyone is telling the truth. Occam’s razor. Everyone lies. How often, to whom, and about what? Context, m'man. It matters.

How often, to whom, and about what? Context, m'man. It matters.Yes it does, however... Your questions aren't about context. "How often" ) Frequency of lying. "To whom" ) Knowledge of persons where lying can happen. "About what" ) Any topic whatsoever. Answer all three of these and it won't change that everyone lies. Since the human psych cannot accept all possibility, lying protects itself. Quote; W hy We Lie
No one likes being deceived, and when public figures are caught in a lie, it can become a major scandal. But while many people pride themselves on scrupulous honesty—and try to distance themselves from individuals who are more comfortable with falsehoods—the truth is that everyone lies, for a variety of reasons. In fact, some experts suggest that a certain amount of deception may be necessary for maintaining a healthy, functioning society.www.psychologytoday.com/us/basics/deception

Oh please. There was never going to be any pretense of a fair trial to begin with. The chief ass licker, McConnell, already said so. Just like the self serving Democrat Senators running in the presidential primary. (bolded) Good to know that neither side is interested in a fair trial. I'm good with that. It was all a media show from the beginning. Like in the house, the vote will be along party lines.

It's just not about the context of your thoughts alone. It's about the context of the thread and those contributing to it. That includes you; however, it's not exclusively devoted to you. Of course everyone lies. That's a given that really doesn't require emphasis since the thread is discussing lies told within the political sphere and by politicians speaking to the entire country about important (and, often, polarizing) matters. That's very different than telling your friend her too tight pants don't make her butt look big.

It's shocking the amount of steaming piles of bullshit the GOP voters are willing to eat. They are actually eager to belly up to the all you can eat bullshit buffet so they can eat as much as possible. Like competitive eaters shoving it in in giant handfuls. Folks, there's no WWE style belt awarded for eating the most bullshit & spewing it out at others. It's okay to decide you can't stand the taste of bullshit anymore & push away from the table for good.

JFK's grandson calls Pence op-ed a 'total perversion' of Kennedy's legacyJack Schlossberg, former President John F. Kennedy's grandson, is blasting Vice President Pence for invoking Kennedy's 1957 book "Profiles in Courage" in an op-ed encouraging Senate Democrats to vote to acquit President Trump in his impeachment trial. In a Twitter thread Saturday, Schlossberg called the op-ed "a total perversion of JFK's legacy and the meaning of courage." Pence's op-ed in The Wall Street Journal specifically cited former Sen. Edmund Ross (R-Kan.), who broke with Republicans in 1865 to vote for then-President Andrew Johnson's acquittal. The vice president, citing Ross, wrote, "The question naturally arises: Who, among the Senate Democrats, will stand up to the passions of their party this time? Who will stand up against 'legislative mob rule' and for the rule of law? Who will be the 2020 Profile in Courage?" Schlossberg responded that Pence "is right to celebrate Ross, a public servant who, foreseeing his own defeated, nonetheless summoned the courage to vote his conscience, and put the national interest above his own. But let's not be confused. @realdonaldtrump was impeached because he did the exact opposite -- he put his own interests ahead of our country's national security and, in the process, broke federal law." JFK's grandson calls Pence op-ed a 'total perversion' of Kennedy's legacy

Was that the healthcare bill that affects every American that Republicans couldn't be bothered with because they were too busy making sure President Obama would only serve one term?

No. It was/is the health care bill that is so expensive that the people forced to buy it still use ER because they can't afford the co-pay to private health care. The bill didn't put any controls on what the insurance companies could charge.
Typical of someone spending someone else's money ............. community organizer

That is what we pay Congress to do. Mitch and co were too busy. President Trump stated Republicans were going to be the "party of healthcare" until they told him to shut up about it. Too busy running up the debt (spending other peoples money).

Not bad for a kid fresh out of college. What volunteering have you done that compares to his selflessness?

Here is what I don't understand, The Democrats had all the votes they needed to pass whatever form of Obamacare they wanted, They could not stopped! So why didn't they do it right the first time??

Why did they embrace Republican ideas of the past? Good question:
So why are today’s Republicans so upset with an Act they designed and their patrons adore? Because it’s the signature achievement of the Obama administration. There’s a deep irony to all this. Had Democrats stuck to the original Democratic vision and built comprehensive health insurance on Social Security and Medicare, it would have been cheaper, simpler and more widely accepted by the public. And Republicans would be hollering anyway.

I deliver meals on wheels; give a lift to people that need to go to appointments, shopping; working in local community center.
All of this by spending my owned earned funds.
I'm curious ............. what do YOU do?
You have to vote for it to see what is in it!!!!
This is what pelosi said to get congress to pass obama care about 2009. Don't you remember?

So maybe you got the point about your “community activist” snark now that you know what Obama did. Pretty cool stuff not even close to the derogatory comments about it over the years. Then again he is Black and completely despised by so many. Me...coached girls hoops for a number of years, long time working the line at a local food bank, blood donation, courier for the blood bank , mentor/coach at a business incubator program for poverty level entrepreneurs. For many years I have housed mentally disabled individuals...39 years of a hoarder, 30 years of a paranoid/schizophrenic, 20 years of a heavily medicated person (didn’t know the diagnosis). These were usually 15% below market as I like ‘direct’ charity no middleman. Sold that building after 43+ years and bigger so now housing 11 subsidized seniors among 24 tenants. Some of them mental, all of them with no place left to go.
