I like to batch. And like for family Christmas Saturday I had 1 with ham, 1 with shredded chicken and 1 with soup... I couldn’t find my tiny one for dip...
I do a lot of slow cooker stuff.

We have 3 slow cookers in various sizes. Sometimes they all come out for tailgates or parties.

I got an Instant Pot for Christmas. If nothing else, I can use it as a rice cooker and sui vide. And my son says he wants to learn how to make chili. I will use some of the suggestions here. Hopefully i can get a few good meals from it.
Thanks!

I thought I posted this already...if you see a duplicate someplace let me know so I can remove it.
Anyway, I had to drive 400 miles to Lincoln Ne. but I found my 3 qt Instant Pot. It was also $10 more than here, but here didn't have any (isn't that the way its supposed to work?
So, I shall try by best to cook something in it next week.

I'm trying a new-to-me recipe that my sister makes every couple of weeks. Perfect Paleo IP Pork Carnitas. will report back to review once it's done. I added garlic powder to the rub, which she actually does as a dry rub. the pork is searing now and it already smells amazing. ETA: I'm annoyed. I'm not a fan. I don't like the sweet flavors from the juices at all, and the cinnamon is just weird. I will likely struggle to finish all of it. it's too bad, the rub is outstanding (I tried a little after I mixed it up). I'll likely give this another shot with chicken broth or water as the cooking liquid, and nix the cinnamon entirely.

I love my InstantPot for a lot of things, but not everything. We do a great gumbo, super good beef stew, pot roast, braised turkey thighs, amazing goat and lamb curries, white beans and ham, etc. And OMG, the risotto!!!
