Also what is up with all the Canadians posting all day about US politics? It’s interesting I guess but it seems borderline obsessive. My educated "guess" is that Trumps toxicity knows no borders.

No doubt Trump is a narcissistic baby. I am pointing out the US is still nothing to laugh at. I encourage you to speak to people who migrated to the US about US. They have nothing but great things to say about this land of opportunity. That has been my experience lately. We can all agree Trump’s behavior is childish and crude. Just not understanding the constant bashing of what the US isn’t doing right. Also what is up with all the Canadians posting all day about US politics? It’s interesting I guess but it seems borderline obsessive. Guess you missed the poster dissing Canada. America IS a great place. But it used to be better than it is now. We used to have ideals that the world (parts anyway) tried to emulate. Now, the world is snickering. You cannot separate cause and effect.

There’s plenty to choose from as to why people aren’t laughing at the US. Very tired of hearing about the supposed “laughing at US”. It’s just not happening. Please get off this board, get some sunshine, make eye contact and have meaningful conversations with people in RL. Geez But is seems you are sadly mistaken...if they aren't laughing at the US for electing such a fool, they are at least laughing at him. Perhaps it is someone else who needs to get off this board & get out of their comfort zone & see what the rest of the world sees...in RL! If you aren't exposed to ALL aspects...you (general you) have no proper way to gauge anything!

About Canada....not sure if I can voice this correctly, however....much of what happens in the US either directly or indirectly affects our Norther neighbor. Many Canadians know more about US government that the majority of the US population...isn't that a shame. Now, how many in the US know anything about Canadian government?...how many know enough to speak intelligently about it? Seems a shame that many of us (including myself) don't learn more about one of our biggest trading partners & a neighboring country. They aren't "obsessive", they are educated!

You are mixing up people posting all day with people posting about US politics. You guys don't talk about anyone else so we are pretty much stuck talking about the US if we want to post all day. And we don't post on Canadian boards all day because there aren't that many Canadians that post all day. We're an anomaly.

Can't blame them. He's a world class laughing stock. Thanks to him, so are all Americans. That's kind of how I feel...that the rest of the world looks at us all as guilty by association. I'm glad that I no longer travel, and no longer work for a German company either here or over there at headquarters. If I were still working in Germany, I'd be about as popular as a turd in a punch bowl. Every time he insults a foreign country, it embarrasses me personally. Actually, they don't. I have traveled a LOT the last few years and every time the political discussion came up, the vast majority of people I meet realize that US citizens are stuck with Bozo. It's not guilt I have observed, but sympathy. One morning in Oct, we were at breakfast on a cruise with a couple from UK, Australia and TD and myself. It was a really interesting breakfast conversation.

The results after the publication of the leaders chortling is typical Donald... As a kid he would take the ball and go home..Today as the leader of the free world...he has his guys pack up early..get on AirForce One and also go home ….early. Not gather with fellow heads of State for a final news conference...his adult version of taking the ball and running home.. [my leader..so proud..sheesh.. }

SATIREJilted Trump Announces Formation Of Cooler, Way More Powerful NATO With His New Best Friends Oman, Macedonia, And Suriname
LONDON—In response to the covertly recorded footage of European leaders mocking the U.S. president, a jilted Donald Trump announced Wednesday the official formation of a cooler, way more powerful NATO with his new best friends Oman, Macedonia, and Suriname. “We are going to have so much fun without you losers,” said the U.S. commander in chief of the impromptu new intergovernmental alliance he formed after proclaiming that “the old NATO is stupid,” explaining that he had already poured billions of dollars of funding into the collective to ensure they have the “best summit ever.” “France and Canada think they’re so cool, but we could totally destroy them in a fight. I already met with Qaboos, Stevo, and Dési, and we’re gonna get matching satin jackets and they’re gonna look sick.” Rest of article here: Jilted Trump Announces Formation Of Cooler, Way More Powerful NATO With His New Best Friends Oman, Macedonia, And Suriname

I believe if he is replaced in 2020 the world will look at his reign as a aberration...America going through a tummy ache...some Pepto Bismol or similar medicine ..all better. However if he wins in 2020....

We have a niece and her hubby that live in Stockholm now after a few years in Berlin. Her brother and wife now work in Amsterdam. Donnadub has a cousin that lives in western France with her husband. Reports are always the same starting with WTF and please vote in 2020.

They ran themselves ragged to provide food, shelter, clean clothes, entertainment, beds, and even birthday parties for the stranded kids. They were ready to drop but kept going. Very appreciated for help given by Canada with those six diplomats in Iran, ...the real heros here too was our CIA who came up with the fake movie deal,,disguises and balls to walk the guys out of the country...facts finally made public on anniversary of founding of CIA

I would like to add that total wealth means nothing. Wealth distribution needs to be taken into account and the US isn't doing that great in that respect (and getting worse I may add). And then of course there is the little fact that others have pointed out already: you are comparing (size wise) prize winning pumpkins to grapes just because you like to boast.

“United States continues to rank very high in measures of socioeconomic performance, including average wage, median income, median wealth, human development, per capita GDP, and worker productivity.[32][33] It is the foremost military power in the world, making up a third of global military spending,[34] and is a leading political, cultural, and scientific force internationally.[35]” Wikipedia There’s plenty to choose from as to why people aren’t laughing at the US. Long, loud, and heartily - and none of it is complimentary to the US
The only reason I was able to stop the endless barrage of "are they really serious to have elected this ****, was by pointing out that he got his ass handed to him in my state.
