this is why I am constantly suggesting that you not rely on your anecdotal evidence to "prove" things.
I think that at least half of the adult male population is pretty good- properly respectful of women, and keep their hands to themselves.
I think that maybe another 30-40% might find themselves in situations where they would make a mistake, and do something they would not normally do, due to the influence of drugs, alcohol, or peers.
and then there is the 5-10% who are serial abusers. they make life difficult for the 90% who are disgusted by that behavior. but unfortunately, they do this shit ALL the time. so, even if there are only 10 million of them, if they grope even ten women each that is basically 100% of women that get abused, and that is precisely what we see in our society.
if men don't get that, they need to.
seriously.
Hey, don't blame me for somethings that some one else does! Who blamed you? The same people who were praising the Mexican drug cartels?

NO ONE IS BLAMING YOU. WE ARE JUST ASKING THAT YOU ACKNOWLEDGE IT HAS HAPPENED TO SOMEONE. What would be the percentage of women abusing men? the difference is that for most men, it would be a novel experience.
for women, it is common enough that they actually navigate their lives with the possibility in mind. for example, there are many women who will not travel alone. there are many women who will not go out unaccompanied at night. there are many women who change their routes to and from work, shopping, etc so as to avoid possible confrontations with strangers.
recalibrating your question in light of those facts: what percentage of men take any measures to avoid the abuse of women?

What would be the percentage of women abusing men?
Sexual abuse/harassment or spousal abuse? Part 1 is so negligible one wonders why the question is even asked. Part 2?

The number of my friends that are totally controlled by their wives, oh my god, one friend, 6'-3", 290#,, even admits that his wife carries his balls around in a little silk bag in her purse!!! Where is you manhood??

The novelty part I can agree with The precaution part I think goes beyond just women though. In today's day those same precautions should be taken by men and women. There are alot screwball out there that will kill you for 20 bucks. I'm 5'9 275 black belt in jujitsu (haven't practiced in 20 years) I still take precautions and carry a firearm.

how would you feel going hand to hand with a well armed 300+ lb, 6'3" tall linebacker?

To be clear I'm agreeing with you on this.

Maybe you should help him escape. Unless he is more joking, and blaming her to get out of spending time with you. If a woman told me she was totally controlled by her husband, I would do everything I could to help her get out. If a male friend told me he was totally controlled by his wife, I would do everything I could to help him get out. The reason men don't come forward is too many people will respond with "Where is your manhood?" As if that helps. It does not.

I still kid him about it

How true. Being married to a control freak for 30 years and joking with friends about it isn't really an abuse scenario. Sounds like OC's friend has a control need his wife fills. So much different than having the crap beat out of you.
