What is wrong with Hunter Biden accepting the position on the board of Burisma a private company?  I understand that they may have expected to get something out of it, but how was Joe Biden supposed to stop it?  Was the act of accepting the position in any way illegal?  If there was no quid pro quo so to speak - why make a big deal out of it.

I agree if we are going to make a practice of investigating this stuff, we should investigate all children of Presidents and Vice Presidents.  But how would we investigate?  Who would be in charge? It would probably just be a political process where the current administration could just tell the FBI/CIA, don't look at our children, they can do not wrong.

What the GOP is alleging is that Biden pushed the Ukraine to fire a prosecutor who (the GOP says) was investigating Burisma, and Biden was attempting to protect his son/his son's cushy job by getting that prosecutor fired.  It that was what happened, that would be Biden interfering in a foreign country to protect his kid, which is wrong, but that's not what happens.

And although Old Coyote would not like to admit it, it's very, very, VERY common for kids of famous/weathy/powerful people to be offered cushy jobs. That's not illegal, maybe a little immoral, totally unfair, not great, but not at all illegal.
