Crazy lunatic republicans.....they had the House for 8 years and now....NOW, they decide to "investigate" Biden. You can't make this shit up! Well, yeah, I guess the Party of Trump can.

It's all in the timing. Reminds me of the Kavanaugh hearing. Hold, then release when effective. Not really that surprising. It's always the other side that is nuts for doing it.

I have a question. What is wrong with Hunter Biden accepting the position on the board of Burisma a private company? I understand that they may have expected to get something out of it, but how was Joe Biden supposed to stop it? Was the act of accepting the position in any way illegal? If there was no quid pro quo so to speak - why make a big deal out of it.
I agree if we are going to make a practice of investigating this stuff, we should investigate all children of Presidents and Vice Presidents. But how would we investigate? Who would be in charge? It would probably just be a political process where the current administration could just tell the FBI/CIA, don't look at our children, they can do not wrong.

trump will pardon Princess. Speaking of the Ivanka and LOL lecturing at the princess lecturing the U.S. on public morals. Clean up your own family first, Ivanka. You're all dirty as hell. Ivanka Trump Tweets Out Fake de Tocqueville Quote to Bash Impeachment as a ‘Decline of Public Morals’“A decline of public morals in the United States will probably be marked by the abuse of the power of impeachment as a means of crushing political adversaries or ejecting them from office.”Those words, Ivanka Trump claimed, were spoken by Alexis de Tocqueville in 1835. In a Thursday evening tweet, the first daughter used the quotation to bash the impeachment hearings against her father, President Donald Trump. Turns out, though, the quote is false. According to the Washington Post, several eagle-eyed Twitter users noted that the quote is actually a vague paraphrase of de Tocqueville which was used by a judge in 1889 in defense of Andrew Johnson. Ivanka Trump has said little about the impeachment hearings to date. Based on this ill-fated foray into the subject, she figures to have even less to say going forward. If they don't find anything, will they make the results public and thank the investigators for their hard work. And then express relief that there was no breach in security and our country remains safe?

We should investigate why Graham has so many faces each employing a forked tongue. He may be suffering from ‘I wanna be POTUS after Trump ‘ disorder.

What the GOP is alleging is that Biden pushed the Ukraine to fire a prosecutor who (the GOP says) was investigating Burisma, and Biden was attempting to protect his son/his son's cushy job by getting that prosecutor fired. It that was what happened, that would be Biden interfering in a foreign country to protect his kid, which is wrong, but that's not what happens.
And although Old Coyote would not like to admit it, it's very, very, VERY common for kids of famous/weathy/powerful people to be offered cushy jobs. That's not illegal, maybe a little immoral, totally unfair, not great, but not at all illegal.

May 13, 2014, Hunter Biden offered job at Burisma.
May 25th, 2014, Poroschenko elected president of the Ukraine.
Feb 10th 2015, Viktor Shokin becomes Ukraine's prosecutor general.
Sept 24, 2015, US ambassador Pyatt blasts Shokin in a speech about the failure of the prosecutor general to fight corruption.
Dec 8 2015 - Biden tells Ukrainian leaders to fire Shokin or lose more than 1 Billion in loan guarantees, joining many Western leaders in urging his ouster.
Feb 11th 2016, Biden talks to Poroshenko by phone urging the urgency of rooting out corruption.
Feb 18th, 2016 Biden talks to Boroshenko again.
March 29th, 2016 - Shokin is kicked out by Ukraine parliament.
May 12, 2016 Letsenko becomes the new prosecutor general.
May 13th, 2016 WH says it welcomes Lutsenko's appointment and released the 1 billion in loans.
May 12, 2017 Ukraine's probe of Burisma is finalized and closed. Note - probe done under Letsenko, not the fired Shokin.
Note that the prosecutor who Biden pushed to get fired happened when Bursima wasn't under investigation. That was the problem, Shokin wasn't investigating anyone.
Whole time line including Trump's start of the fake 'Ukraine was the country doing the hacking in 2016, not russia' theory, too.

Trump wanted an investigation of the Bidens so he could smear them on the 2020 campaign trail.
Couldn't get it through the Ukraine, but he can get it from his best toady.
Now he can chant 'Lock Him Up' at his campaign rallies - even if they have 9 investigations and none of them find anything criminal took place.
Maybe he'll get lucky and find out Biden got a traffic ticket in the Ukraine - Trump can pump that up into a criminal offense, no problem.

The thing is, Trump's supporters don't care about stuff like that. If they are thinking of switching their vote to Biden, a bit of nepotism is not going to put them off. And Democrats aren't going to believe any of his lies about this.

So in other words Biden jr. and the Co. that "Employed" him, was never investigated! Because of Biden's interference in Ukraine politics, the threat of withholding $1 billion to get the prosecutor fired so they would not investigate jr.s Co. It means that Lutsenko was bought off!

Trump says he wanted to investigate "corruption" in the Ukraine, which is bullshit. Funny how he doesn't want to investigate corruption in Russia, which is far, far more corrupt. But wait! There's more! He wouldn't dare investigate the country of his BFF, Putin. The KGB operative and killer of journalists and critics is evidently, beyond reproach.

Didn't President Trump have the House and Senate in 2017 and 2018? Was he concerned then about Ukraine, Biden, and corruption? What changed all of the sudden? Oh yeah, Biden announced he was running for President and he had to get some dirt on him.
