The thread title was updated to reflect the latest development. And we now continue! And we don't want to confuse some posters here either...with an old title! On the inquiry....just being discussed on CNN so no link yet.+

No, it's pretty much one side, following the lead and desire of Donald Trump, the stupidest person ever elected president.

GOP are now complaining..."too little, too late"....ok fine...stay out of it & let the Democrats do it all on their own...the rest of the way....or shut your mouths.

I thought I saw Pelosi on camera stating the full House will not be voting on the Impeachment procedual issue. She did not state what the heck they would actually be voting on.

I heard a theory on why Pelosi has not had an impeachment vote. I didnt totally understand it, but it had something to do with the variety of other legal actions and investigations that are ongoing. If she keeps this as a house investigation, there will be less conflict and confusion or something - but I couldn't figure out if he was saying an impeachment would impair another investigation or vice versa. This guy (who appeared to have an obvious political affiliation) though Pelosi had a reason and a plan.
Like I said, I didnt fully understand the theory, and I was doing something else, so I couldn't use my full brain power to figure it out. Maybe someone else has heard this and can dumb it down for me?

They have had full representation on the closed hearings (even though Limbaugh & other RW wingnuts are lying saying otherwise).

On the inquiry....just being discussed on CNN so no link yet.+ The fact is that this is a vote on the rules- not on impeachment. No vote has been taken, and no vote will be taken on impeachment- so, it's still fake. But they did need to get Trump's near total victory over ISIS.

At least 1/4 of the white male GOP members who 'stormed' the investigative meeting because they didn't want anything done in 'secret' were actually members of the 3 committees conducting the interviews and therefore already had access to the 'secret' meeting.
Then, they all sat down and ate some pizza some one ordered in, like the idiot frat boys they are.
You won't hear that mentioned on Rush, though.

Wasn't that the most stunningly juvenile stunt you've ever seen pulled in Congress? eating fried chicken while in session was bad Schiff claiming to have proof Trump colluded was actualy much worse. Why he was not reprimanded or censored for this is beyond me. He lied publicly. Then a couple of weeks ago he claimed to be reading a statement of fact on Trump when we know it wa all made up while on the public record.

Wasn't that the most stunningly juvenile stunt you've ever seen pulled in Congress? Dear Leader was raging that 'his' GOP wasn't being 'vicious' enough, some of his best toadies tried to figure out how to appease him, and someone thought a loud, brazen, obnoxious rushing of the chamber door (that 1/3 of them had access to anyway) was just the ridiculous video click bait that their overlord would find delightful.
I guess we should be happy they didn't instead decide to rough up some girls scouts or punch some poodles to demonstrate how vicious they are.

They are actually following the rules that the GOP laid down in 2015, when they had the House majority- LOL!!! The new Party of Trump will do and say anything to try to sully the impression of the proceedings, no matter how ridiculous. Most people see right through it. Yeah well, but if these GOPers were "never trumpers" they are human scum according to the man on the golden throne, and that makes those procedures garbage, traiterous tools, and who knows what else...

Update: The Democrats' legislation on the next steps in the Trump impeachment inquiry has cleared a procedural hurdle in the U.S. House. Link

Yep, the numbers I saw showed 4 Rep. who did not vote - 1 Dem and 3 GOP. I'm just going to assume they were too gutless to vote the way they believed (no for the Dem and yes for the GOP) but I suppose they could have just missed the vote. There was also 1 Ind. who voted 'yes' which the talking heads thought was Justin Amash (spelling), which makes sense.

Wondering if you have told yourself this enough times yet to where you believe it? Lately, you have to tape Trump shouting 'witch hunt' and 'presidential harassment' and then slide it under your pillow to play on a loop all night.
Subliminal hypnosis is the only thing making it stick anymore.

The House has approved to hold public hearings on trump' impeachment. Now we wait for Trump & Co to scramble for a new reason why the impeachment process is bogus now that "no transparency" is being taken away. Trump plays checkers, Pelosi plays chess.

kadee79 - can you update the thread title to its current status. This will alleviate the need for yet another thread about the same subject. Thanks!

I find it amusing the GOP whine was the proceedings were not public enough and now they are closer to getting their wish.

I heard myself say, well...if nothing else, maybe President Trump will learn he can't break the public's trust and use the US treasury as his campaign fund. Then I woke up!
