And Fox has been pointing out he was born in Ukraine and is probably committing espionage since last night... a Purple Heart awarded Colonel... This is what the GOP has become - the party that has to try to invent some bullshit to fling at people who don't blindly support their Dear Leader.
Deep state plant won't work. Radical Dem won't work. Never Trumper won't work. So let's call this Purple Heart recipient a spy. Assholes.
Because he was born in the Ukraine, this guy felt very strongly that he didn't want his natal country drug into the dirty political fray between the Dems and GOPers. He knew the Ukraine was being set up to be absolutely screwed - he saw how a small inner circle of Trump toadies had seized control of international diplomacy away from the seasoned state department diplomat's and were running a shadow government - with the head shadow being a big hotel entrepreneur whose sole qualification for the job was to donate a million bucks to Trump during the election. And they were wanting the Ukrainian president to go on CNN and announce that he was opening an investigation into Biden's kid - leaving Ukraine to be accused of interfering with a US election. It was either that, or the Ukraine would lose some very much needed money for military aid. Fucked either way.
And rather than open their eyes to the corruption, the GOP toadies are digging in the dumpsters for shit to smear career military and state department employees. Awesome job, guys.
Or, they're quitting. Another GOP House member announced his retirement yesterday.

Do any one of them have a name?? Yes. All of them. And they’re even identified in the news.

Tomorrow's witness, Lt. Colonel Alexander Vindman, is rumored to be another coffin nail. His opening statement was released earlier tonight. And he was on the calls, no hearsay, no 2nd hand account, he was on the calls.
Colonel Alexander Vindman joined the U.S. military, fought in the Iraq war, got blown up by a roadside bomb, earned a Purple Heart, and then continued serving in the military after he got blown up by a bomb.
Donald Trump dodged military service by faking bone spurs.
And obvious snowflake democratic plant and part of the deep state.

remove a president from office based entirely on an anonymous complaint from an anonymous government functionary whom they want to testify behind closed doors.
That appears to be happening now. I thought there was something about getting to face the accuser.
Ahhh excuse me "Old"....I am getting the feeling your just here to ...a bit of trolling. As it has been explained here as well in the media..."whistle blowers" are not , as u put it . just functionaries, but essential for our government to run smoothly and honestly...and are expected to be anominouse..forever..or at least till they retired or leave gov't employment....I am thinking of "Deep Throat" as a prime example...There is even laws passed to protect them.. As I understand it..a whistle blower who has information that they feel shows someone or persons shows wrong doing regarding the government turns this information over to officials who's job is to investigate wrong doing and THEY, not the whistleblower, determine if there is a basis to go further or to just ignore and drop the charge..The whistle blower does not determine ANYTHING...SQUAT...NOTHING. If any one should be questioned, it would be those who did the investigating , the determinating of possible wrong doing. Capice No I was not trolling as you suggest, At this point I have not seen the whistle blowers names, and question the, if any, political motivation to this aggregations. This first picture in the article remind me of politics. has nothing to do with the thread or post though, I though it looked politics though.

Kurt Volker Marie Yovanovitch Fiona Hill George Kent Gordon Sondland William Taylor Not to mention Trump and Mulvaney admitting it on camera. You realize you have now entered into the world's stupidest 20 questions game. Prepare yourself for dumbass battle. Sometimes I like to watch him exploit one misplaced comma to deny the entire book exists. I guess last night I wanted to see the foolishness. This morning, not so much. It was a tough night.

He doesn't. Dems are saying they won't even call him to testify at public hearings, now that they've got people who were actually on the call or in the room.
Just someone to for the GOP to focus their ire on, at this point.

Washington does have a lot of leaks, just not who trump claims they are. Nunes. Didn't Nunes run to the White House at the end of the day each day to blab what was discussed during the U.S. House intelligence committee investigation, and which Nunes chaired, into Russian interference in the 2016 elections?

... question the, if any, political motivation to this aggregations. ... Let us say that I call police and report my neighbor, claiming that he is running a small time stolen property operation using local teens to break into houses. A patrol car goes by the house and sees stuff being unloaded into a shed that matches items on a hot sheet. The neighbor ends up being arrested. Then word gets out that I wanted to have an affair with the guy's wife and I reported him to get him out of the way. Text message evidence shows this to be true. Based on this, the police release the guy, all his little minions, and no charges are filled. Is that what you think should happen?

Really? I did not know this- but would be/ am not a bit surprised. Nunes is a DC livin' weasel. He is not a real American. (Tongue firmly planted, right in cheek on that last) Yeah, I want to say this happened in the first 6 months of 2017 because it seems like so very long ago.

why would that matter? Trump has verified the most relevant part of the complaint.
in fact, why does the whistleblower even matter at this point? what would be gained or lost at this juncture without the complaint?

trump supporters need the person's name so they can threaten the person and his family with injury and death through phone calls, the USPS, and social media. That's why they need the whistleblower's name.

That's why they need the whistleblower's name. And that is why whistle blower laws exist. I swear the majority of people get their law knowledge (and science knowledge which is another thread) from cop shows. The POTUS himself has threatened to have the guy executed because "that's what we did in the old days". Those tweets alone should be enough to get his ass impeached IMO. I know if my boss at the university had made comments like that to me if I had reported her for non-compliance she would have been gone the next day. Nope not Trump though, he's standing up for truth, justice and the American way. It's like the entire country has become Julia Roberts in Sleeping with the Enemy.

OC, when there is one person making an accusation it could be politically motivated.
At this point, the original whistleblower was just the snowflake that started the avalanche. Many state department employees have come forward, on the record, to collaborate what the whistleblower said - only these people have first hand knowledge of what happened, so there can be no claims that this is hearsay evidence. And these are long term state department employees or military employees; one of the main ones, Bill Taylor, worked for 5 presidents and was appointed to his current job by Pompeo himself.
So now, you either have to go out to whackadoodle lengths to insist that all these random people are members of the Deep State and are jointly working together to destroy Trump, or you have to accept that Trump did what he did - he assigned a political donor who used to be a hotel magnate and his personal lawyer to manage our diplomatic relations with an important ally in order to squeeze that ally for info about the Bidens and a debunked Ukrainian server plot.

Well, all the bad-mouthing the military person who will testify today....Liz Cheney has come out & said not to do that, that he is an American hero.....just saw it on CNN. Correspondents think she is warning the GOP to shut up...and maybe some at Fox that have called this person a spy.

'Hey, let's trash a wounded hero and even imply he is a spy'. Reminds me of so many Americans actions against returning veterans from South East Asia...being called "baby killers"...spit on and worse...so many were suggested don't wear ones uniform or decorations and awards... I never encountered such behavior..in fact wore uniform and decorations with buddies...got many, many free drinks...Shown off by Dad and Uncles, Cousin at local VFW hall... and good for those who greeted us ..if encountered any of the other types would ...pity the results...we were not a forgiving bunch of guys..

Little Devi Nunes' top aid is leaking the whistleblower's name, plus information - and misinformation.
This is so the GOP lawmakers and staffers in the impeachment hearings could use his name and get it entered into the depositions, which means it will be written into the record of the proceedings, which Sshiff has said he would eventually release, this way making sure the anonymous whistleblower gets outed. www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/nunes-aide-is-leaking-the-ukraine-whistleblowers-name-sources-say/ar-AAJuYyM?li=BBnbfcL
Like that even matters anymore. The whistleblower only had second hand information, there's a bunch of other people who were THERE - on the calls, or in the room, or having discussions with the Three Amigos who perpetrated the crime for Trump.
The GOPers are trying to bury a turd, but it's the size of a house. No way to cover this up, boys, so stop with the elaborate, illegal and bullying schemes.

I wonder if these people especially Nunes can be charged with something. If I was a mega-billionaire it would be worth funding the election campaigns of all their opponents.

While I"m not a fan of Liz Cheney's, women typically end up having bigger balls than most men do.
I'm sure it won't be long before the resident in the white house tweets out Liz sure isn't a good Dick like her daddy.
tied together quite nicely if I do say so myself.

The Republican Party Suicide Watch Thread
Every time I think of the Republican Party now, this goes through my head. O Fortuna, Carmina Burana. They're going down in flames.
