twitter.com/realDonaldTrumpAs I have stated strongly before, and just to reiterate, if Turkey does anything that I, in my great and unmatched wisdom, consider to be off limits, I will totally destroy and obliterate the Economy of Turkey (I’ve done before!). Trump’s decision on Syria crystallizes questions about his business — and his presidencyTrump himself once said he had a conflict of interest in Turkey given his business there. The first person to suggest that Donald Trump would have a conflict of interest in dealing with Turkey and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan was Trump himself. “I have a little conflict of interest because I have a major, major building in Istanbul and it’s a tremendously successful job,” Trump told Stephen K. Bannon (who was then working for Breitbart) in December 2015. “It’s called Trump Towers — two towers instead of one, not the usual one, it’s two." “I’ve gotten to know Turkey very well and they are amazing people, they’re incredible people,” Trump continued. “They have a strong leader” — Erdogan — “the strong leader is now fighting pretty much with Putin, if you look at what’s going on, there’s a lot of, there’s a lot of angst and a lot of anguish going on over there.” Later, Bannon asked directly about how Trump would assuage concerns about a conflict of interest. I don't think republicans would break ranks even if he started dropping nukes at this point.

When did he destroy Turkey's economy before? Or anyone else's for that matter?
In the meantime...farm bailout largesse, going mostly to Big Ag, has now doubled what Obama spent bailing out the auto industry after the Bush Co. Repo-Con Crash.

Well based on what you posed just below the bolded sentence, he is working very hard at destroying at least one economy. He just isn't quite done yet.

... I, in my great and unmatched wisdom, ... That is just downright scary to be stated by a person who has the means to launch nuclear missiles.

I called both my Senators and asked if they had a response to this insane tweet. One had issued a statement about withdrawing from Syria and abandoning our allies, but nothing specific on this tweet. I had to leave a voice mail for the other.

This has been my main worry all along, whatever political differences we all have are insignificant to this concern, we should all be worried this person has control of nuclear weapons. I think it is lost on a lot of people how scary it was during the Cold War. At this point I put more trust in other world leaders who also have their finger on the button to have more restraint than Trump.

Yes, dondub and tallguy , but she did vote against him on the wall emergency declaration. I know there is good in her. Trump hasn't driven it from her fully.

Coming from someone who can impact my life, it is scary to me. Coming from someone who really can't have an impact, it is more sad than scary. YMMV.

Bills-I am of the opinion trump is under close watch by our military. Should trump request a launch of a nuclear missile, the military will decline such a request. And at that point, his cabinet will step in, and through the 25th amendment, vote to remove him from office.

The same military that started withdrawing from Syria before the rest of congress apparently was aware Trump gave the order to fall back?
I am sorry, I agree with Brennan - we are seriously in an Authoritarian Regime, and we can only hope that we rebound enough to get back to democracy. Brennan says the CIA would now assess the US as "Very Corrupt, and under the control of an autocrat, and "No Longer a Democracy". I was thinking along the same lines even before I read the story that popped up on my Smart News app.

There are still people out there with common sense/human decency even if our president has neither.
