My alarm goes off at 3:20, though I'm usually awake before then. Out the door around 5:20, work from 6-6.
I'm another that doesn't need much actual time to get ready, but I don't blow dry my hair, so I need to allow time for it to be at least 2/3 dry before I go. I'll usually shower right when I get up, then have coffee, surf a bit, and feed the cats. Then I'll finish getting ready and do whatever other last minute chores before I go.

You get up two hours before you have to leave? My body would shut down on me if I tried that, sleep is my friend.

But no matter how much of it I get, I've never been a "get up, get ready right away and go" person. I need to ease into another day of adulting/people-ing.

I have been getting up early for whatever (school, work) all my life and still haven't gotten used to it. Mind you, "early" in my house is 6:30. It was 6 when my kids were smaller but they are mostly on their own now. I leave by 7:30. I am not and never will be a morning person. Ever. I manage to drink my coffee and get ready to leave in that hour, but just barely.
In high school, I didn't eat breakfast and got up in time to brush my hair and my teeth, get dressed and leave.

When i was working I would get up around 0500. This gave me several hours to wake up and have a couple cups of coffee while reading the paper version of the news. In the office no later than 0830. So you're on of THOSE weirdos

Up at 5:20, out the door at 6:10 to drop the kid off at daycare and (theoretically) be in my seat by 7:00. Morning calls start at 7:30, so I can't really push it much later than that if I want to be prepared. There would be room to squeeze things a bit later if daycare drop-off went faster, but Doodle has become accustomed to reading a book with me in the classroom as a transition. An extra 5-10 minutes isn't enough incentive to deal with the breakdowns that would result if I tried to stop.
Edit: LOL, as soon as I post that, we get an official email that nonessential employees are strongly suggested to work from home tomorrow due to TS Imelda, so I'll probably be getting up at 6:00 instead.

You guys make me feel lazy. When I worked, up at 7 am to work by 8am. 15 min commute (with coffee stop) But I am a serious night owl. Now that I am retired I can often stay up til 1 am or later. Still usually up by 8 or so.

I thought when I retired I would be able to sleep in. Still up most mornings by 5:30 or 6 at the latest. I'm a night owl and early bird - not a good combo but I'm not worth dog doo doo in the afternoons around 3

What would I do if I wasn't addicted to coffee and then didn't tune in? I suspect I'd get out the door in short order. My hours are not set, early in, early out, or late in late out...but I do delay with the coffee and internet.....because then I can pretend it isn't starting yet....

When I worked I was usually up by 6:30 or so and left for work by 7:30 to be in my seat by 8. If I worked from home then I would get up at 7:30, get a cup of tea and log in.
Now that I’m retired, I usually get up around 8 or 8:30. I like having the time in the morning to have my tea, read the paper and check online before starting the rest of my day.

Not only do I sleep better, but now I tend to sleep later. My bedroom is pretty dark, but apparently enough light crept in to wake me early on the weekends.

I don't sleep well, never have, am always tired. I can't go to sleep at night and like this morning. Up at 6:30, going back to bed for a bit, now DD is ready.
Was never a morning person.
