Last night, we checked into the hotel and I checked my email. I got a message saying they had unusual activity in India, and I might want to change my password. I went to change it and I couldn’t get in at all!
Later emails told me that my email address had been changed, as had my password . I got it all switched back last night, but they had to detach me from all my devices, and I need to sign in with a new password. It sounds like Netflix has to do this regularly.

I know it happened to the account my family uses recently. We had it on our smart TV, but DH and I rarely use it. DD used it and DD thought DS was using his GF's account, but once she cancelled it, she found out they were using ours. We found out we were paying about double what we should have, so it worked out ok. It was billed to my CC and used her e-mail, so she just shut it down and opened a new account (cause she did not have my CC info while she was on the phone with them).
