France needs to reforest to the same scope that they have, before he can expect them to maintain their same level of forested area.
As in % of area.
He is talking global impact.
It's kind of like having a no pissing section in a swimming pool.

The person who needs to walk the talk and not just do the talk for the United States is donald trump, the president of the United States. What is trump's position on climate change and what is he doing to help prevent it?

I have heard rumors one of our own board members, an expect on climate change, is on trump's board of climate change advisement.

Wait, I thought part of Making America Great Again was to increase America's influence with the rest of the world? I thought if America cared about Global Warming - then pressure could be applied to the other countries to also 'care' about it. As far as I can tell America doesn't care about global warming. In fact, I think the President of Brazil borrowed a play from Trump's playbook - and suggested that his government wasn't backing/encouraging the burning of the Amazon forests - that it was those good for nothing Liberals (the NGOs) who were setting the fires. I bet Trump was over the moon... imitation is the sincerest flattery.

Isn't the POTUS supposed to be the "leader of the free world"? So start LEADING, for Christ's sake! But noooo....you have a climate change denier who destroyed the EPA, wants fracking and mining on every available surface, more coal, increased pollution, etc. Meanwhile he's building seawalls on his OWN properties to hold back the encroaching oceans. Asshole.

Find that mark on the wall that shows the sea is rising? The mark on the wall will not be visible because it's underwater.

Find that mark on the wall that shows the sea is rising? You're truly a farce to be reckoned with. Not in the mood to deal with trolls tonight.

It's still early.
The 2019 Atlantic hurricane season is an ongoing event in the annual formation of tropical cyclones in the Northern Hemisphere. The season officially began on June 1, 2019, and will end on November 30, 2019

If I genuinely believed in 12 years coastal areas would be under water, I wouldn’t by a $15 million mansion on...Martha’s Vineyard.
Call me crazy, but it doesn’t seem like Obama is taking climate change all that seriously.

Hardly conducive to those countries that that float their economies on our largesse, through liberal trade policy that mostly benefits them, in their effort to put themselves first. They will be unhappy and not too pleasant with their public opinions, as it has been noticed.. The gravy train is over for now.

For those worried about the pain, and American interests. This is economic pain. Quote; Jun 25, 2019 · The deficit in goods and services was $621 billion in 2018. Imports were $3.1 trillion and exports were only $2.5 trillion. Imports were $3.1 trillion and exports were only $2.5 trillion. In 2018, the U.S. trade deficit in goods alone was $891 billion.

You were saying a week ago? But it's such a tiny one. Only category 5 with wind gust >220 mph.
Hardly more than a summer squall
One of the warnings about climate change is that the storms will get more intense, but clearly, that's not happening either.

Sure, we should all be planting more trees.
However, it takes decades for trees to grow, so maybe we try to help the Amazon jungle remain the Amazon jungle while we also encourage the rest of the world to plant trees.

part of what is going on here is that these nations are already complaining that the West monetized industrialization by polluting, and that not allowing them to do so is going to deprive them of growth, and there is some truth to that argument.

Okay, I thought about it for a second and determined the following: I think you believe the majority of the forum is a lot more invested in what you post than they actually are.
