How can I be deflecting to a different one? I AM the original one here. OC levels of ridiculousness are not something you should be aspiring to.... Just sayin'. Nor aspiring to a posturing rant, covering just about every known meme, from the liberal rag USA today, re-carried by MSN of course. Ridiculous indeed. My point on what he said, and that it might not be that stupid in regards to the OP. To refresh your memory on the remark that prompted my comment, it was stated that: First, nobody with the exception of that poster (and perhaps you here) is unthinking. And the DNC comment is completely out of left field and relevant to nothing. The article is by a Republican who realizes what a disaster Trump and his administration is. People here agree with it because they also see what a disaster Trump is in pretty much every area. The article writer is not hoping for Democratic policies. He is hoping for sanity in our national and world affairs. He is hoping for someone who will not give our country over to our adversaries. And while there are several different posters who have liked or agreed with the article, they may all very likely favor different candidates. It is not at all unreasonable to prefer ANY of them over Trump. It is our duty to safeguard our country by removing Trump. And The DNC is not even involved here. They are dictating to nobody, much less having posters here subject to those dictates. The quoted statement was what prompted the "stupid" reference. Anything other than that is deflection. You're welcome.

... You do understand that most republican voters, including this one, view Trumps tweets as just distracting/baiting of the Democrats. They don't consider it a bad thing, they consider it more of a nothing thing. ... I do understand that is the position that you take. The OP is simply takes a different view of President Trump's behavior. I think that it is a much more accurate view than yours. I can not accept a "policy does not matter" stance. It makes his view "stupid" as I first posted. It has one positive, it will apply well to the 'doesn't know any better' voter. One only needs to look at the target demographic of the Democratic Party. Lot's of repetition of 'anyone but Trump', with plenty of handouts. Seem accurate ?

Going by Warren's recent movement in the polls vs Biden's static results, it seems that there is a divide between the younger Democrats and the old school voters for Biden.
Could be an interesting result in the general presidential election, following the primaries.

No, now you're trollling. I'd call that worse, but that's me. Trolling, when I posted the "might" before your long winded explanation. No, trolling because you were intentionally arguing a different thing, only to come back and rely on an unrelated "might" as an excuse. I"ve seen similar many times from you, but hoped you were beyond it. Apparently not. No matter. It will be a very simple thing to no longer consider any of your posts to have any more import than any of his.

The fact that you can not accept does not make his view anything. Or what you think about his view. True. Your inability to accept does not alter my thoughts on his view.

At this point, it's really not being all that cynical. It's just what's happening now, with the election somewhere in the far future, considering anything can happen, even 15 minutes from now.

Going by Warren's recent movement in the polls vs Biden's static results, it seems that there is a divide between the younger Democrats and the old school voters for Biden. Could be an interesting result in the general presidential election, following the primaries. In 2016, some voters disgruntled at the way Sanders was side stepped for Clinton decided to vote for Trump because he was not the same old Clinton/Bush dynasty candidate, and because he promised to be a disruptor. Those voters, along with voters dismayed by Comey's last minute announcement about more Clinton emails, were enough to allow Trump to squeak out a win.
Many of those voters regret what they did (they have a name for it - Trumgret). The great cheap healthcare, the marvelous infrastructure plan, and tax cuts for everyone - none of that has happened. The booming economy Trump promised seems very precarious right now, and his great trade wars are helping to destabilize the markets. On top of that, Trump never moderated his mouth or stopped tweeting, instead actually getting worse, leading the country into chaotic internal divisions. (Never released the promised tax returns, either).
In 2020, any voters disgruntled by whatever Dem candidate seizes the nomination are unlikely to turn to Trump again. More likely to either not vote at all, or vote 3rd party. Trump can't count on them to squeeze out a win for him again.
Right now I might say the election was a 50 50 toss up - but the economic signs are bad, and any long term drop in the market would be very, very negative for Trump's ability to turn out voters.

I have 2 cats. Their litter boxes are in my basement. I scoop them daily and every few days carry up a little grocery bag full of yucky, used cat litter to deposit in my outside garbage can. This bag of used cat litter has cost me money (cat litter isn't cheap!) and effort, performs no further usable function and has the added bonus of stinking up my garbage can. I would vote for this bag of used cat litter before I would vote for the shitbag currently in office.
And before anyone says I'm a mindless, unthinking, posturing DNC drone....I actually did think about it. I thought about it long and hard. And I firmly believe that bag of used cat litter would do a better job as president, in that it would not actively, intentionally and routinely make things worse.
Also, I mean...I'd vote for Marianne Williamson.

If voting against Trump makes you a mindless pawn of the DNC, then voting against Hilary makes you a mindless pawn of the RNC, or maybe Fox news.
We all have people we do not want leading the country. It doesn't make us mindless - it makes us normal.

What it means is, regardless of who the Dem candidate is, none of them, on their very worst day, could come within pissing distance of being as bad as Trump is on an average day, with maybe only 10 or 12 random tweets.
Bad Trump as in retrospect of what a democrat would vote for ? Or bad as you really don't care what the Democrat will do once they get into office, as long as that party has the winner. I'm just going by the OP'S "policy doesn't matter" statement. You do understand that most republican voters, including this one, view Trumps tweets as just distracting/baiting of the Democrats. They don't consider it a bad thing, they consider it more of a nothing thing. That's why it will seldom be brought up by them. My humor was you saying you would vote for any blue candidate, while talking about another blindly following, in the same post. So do I....and I wish they would confront his baiting with tweets asking him about the issues. Just return the insult by asking: How's paying off the debt going, I'm sure the American public would like to know. How's the party of health care doing, I'm sure the American public would like to know before the election. What ever happened to the middle class tax cuts? How are gun control discussions coming along, I'm sure the American public would like to know. That is the way to confront a bully. As the old southern saying goes "if you get in the mud with a pig, you'll both come out dirty, but the pig will enjoy it"

What Republican did you vote for in the last election. I voted for Kyrsten Sinema over McSally in a pretty important election.
Kyrsten Sinema, looks like she is doing a real good job, Trying to move this Country to better thing,
unlike most of the OBSTRUCTIONIST Democrats,, That think the only thing that can make America better is by suing, or doing mass summonses over nothing! Grandstanding in front of the Liberal news Media cameras! Like that is going to make us better.
Sorry, I can't understand a word of what you said.
You're one of the Trump supporters who would continue to be his cheerleader if he shot someone dead on Fifth Avenue. You don't get to make comments about anyone else being blindly loyal to anything, ever.

I will vote blue no matter who, but hoping for blue dog democrat. Prefer someone other than Biden-will see who is left when they get to WI Our politics here are so very, very different...nowhere near as polarizing or divisive. I have voted red, blue, orange and green. (Liberal, Conservative, NDP and Green parties). No matter who gets in, IT WILL BE OK. Our politicians wouldn't dare mess with our healthcare, our abortion rights, our LGBTQ rights, womens' rights or any of the big issues. The citizens wouldn't stand for it. I won't be voting Liberal this coming election. No matter who wins, however, life won't change that much and we'll still keep chugging along.

I understood that sentence, but not the stuff that came after that - nor can I understand how my voting record fits into this conversation.
To answer your question, though, I voted in the mid terms and voted about 50-50 Dems and GOPers because I vote for candidates, not for parties. Think there was a couple independents thrown in there, too. Is that important information for you to know?
