I'm talking about data. I don't know where the sources of data are, but I would assume a high ranking government official would have access to all of the data. But, maybe not. It seems like people on the outside looking in put asterisk on all their data - "it is being reported", "if this source is correct", "according to this group", etc. I hope the White House is getting better info than what I can pull off the web or whatever.
As for whether that data is used well and translated into quality information spewed from the mouth of POTUS, you are correct, that seems questionable.

President Trump taunted Mitt Romney on Wednesday after the Utah senator tested negative for coronavirus, ...
“This is really great news! I am so happy I can barely speak. He may have been a terrible presidential candidate and an even worse U.S. Senator, but he is a RINO, and I like him a lot!” Trump tweeted early Wednesday. link I want a President who can make a positive comment without having to follow it with an insult.

Unbelievable If I am being honest....there are a few people I wouldn't shed any tears... 😬 True, made a comment about CV19 and Rush Limbaugh a while back to that extend. Not that I wanted him to die of course but I compared it to the statements he made about people addicted to prescription drugs and how they all should be jailed, except for him of course.

I suspect not Publically has a different definition for me vs a POTUS. I would never be President, but if I were a public figure, you are correct that I wouldn't rejoice in my enemies misery and wish illness upon them out loud. But, did I say it to my like minded friends last week over text? Maybe.....

I have no issue with President Trump thinking what he typed. I have a problem with him sending it out to the world.

Bring back Herbert Hoover. A much better president than trump. President Hoover had quite a distinguished career after his presidency...True. he was blamed for the depression but was appointed by Harry Truman to organize food relief for Europe after the war and other relief programs...also had a lot to do with modernizing the Presidency, strengthening the office... --------------------------------------------- millercenter.org/president/hoover/life-after-the-presidency

Herbert Hoover had exquisitely bad timing. Silent Cal knew enough not to run again. "Too much credit out there" he said. (in 1928, LOL!)

I don't want a president who insults people period. The thing that the Donald and his people don't understand...to publicly reply to his insults in kind...for most folks, because the office he holds...the respect for the office, one just does not throw insults back because of that respect of the office...In my opinion, the Donald by throwing insults as he does willy nilly...usually at folks who disagree with him..is the actions of a coward and a bully...know for the most part folks will not respond in kind back at him...as I have said before, the man is evil

How many of your fellow citizens will become ill and die because of the poor initial response of the man you gladly voted for because of some nebulous fear about Hillary and the SCOTUS? Wishing someone ill versus actually making many more people dead that should have been. When will you be castigating yourself for electing that killer?

It's ok to have philosophical differences with someone else ....... but it's not ok to wish them ill. Shame on you ........... This country has EXECUTED many, many individuals who have done far less damage to our country, our people, and our democracy than these idiots. If I were to wake up tomorrow and read they were all dead, well, I might not be outwardly celebrating but I would think it a good day for the country. I don't care about philosophical differences, or what people think. I care about what they do. And I care that they not be in position to harm this country (or its citizens) or destroy its ideals. I didn't think it was likely that this country as a whole would go lower than reelecting that incompetent, buffoonish twit George W. Bush as president. At least for a long time. Sadly, those would be considered good days now. And frankly, if your silly fears allow you to believe that this president, his administration, and his supporters are actually doing good things for this country, then the bigger problem is yours, not mine.

Oh FFS: Trump Reportedly Wants His Signature on Coronavirus Stimulus ChecksPresident Donald Trump signed into law a record $2.2 trillion stimulus bill on Friday to help boost the economy and help push resources to health care providers amid the coronavirus crisis. The bill is the largest package to bring relief to business and individuals that has ever been approved in the country’s history and Trump seemed to be in awe of the final price tag when he was signing the bill. “I never signed anything with a T on it,” he said. Even though the president thanked “Democrats and Republicans for coming together and putting America first,” it seems he wants Americans to thank him for any checks they receive. Trump has told people he wants his signature to appear on the direct payment checks, an administration official told the Wall Street Journal. A civil servant would normally sign the checks.
