Truth must be so hard for you to deal with ........... You're projecting, again. Needed the laugh, a Republican even saying the word truth....

100% I'd say this is true, even in the case of those I like (as long as we don't talk politics). Maybe because everything is true, until it isn't. Then they just don't bring it up again, or they say "Yeah, but" and talk about something totally different.

Trump’s top impeachment lawyer has left his team
Former President Donald Trump has lost his top impeachment lawyer just days before his trial is to begin, a person familiar with his legal strategy and two attorneys close to the team confirmed on Saturday night. Butch Bowers, a South Carolina lawyer who was reportedly set to play a major role in the Senate’s trial of the former president, is now no longer with the team. Deborah Barbier, another South Carolina lawyer, won’t be either. The person described it as a “mutual decision” and said new names will be announced shortly. The decision by Bowers and Barbier to not join the team raised immediate questions, both about what compelled them to part ways and who actually will play the role of lawyer to Trump when the impeachment trial starts in early February. Trump has had difficulty finding legal help for his second impeachment, with some of the lawyers who worked on his first trial saying they wouldn’t do the same this go around. Bowers’ hiring was first announced by Trump ally and South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham. A longtime Republican attorney, Bowers represented former South Carolina Govs. Mark Sanford and Nikki Haley, and had experience in election law. Article here: link

Here's a thought: If Rudy Giuliani were allowed to be Trump's attorney here, would he be the best Trump could find? Would anybody better than Giuliani fall for, I mean consider, representing Trump at this point?

Then Trump would sue him for malpractice.....if he could find a lawyer. Guiliani would be an idiot to do this. Trump has already threatened to not pay him for the stuff he has done after the election. Moot point, Giuliani is a witness.

The utter weirdness of Donald Trump's new impeachment trial legal team announcement The email subject line? "45th President Donald J. Trump ... It's first sentence? "45th President Donald J. Trump ... The second sentence? "Notably, Schoen has already been working with the 45th President ... The third sentence, which was a quote from Schoen: "'It is an honor to represent the 45th President, Donald J. Trump, ... How about the fourth sentence, a quote from Castor: "Castor added, 'I consider it a privilege to represent the 45th President.'"
In case you didn't know, Donald J. Trump was the 45th President.

It would be less than slim pickings Saturday, The Lincoln Project has also put Giuliani on notice for defamation ( link). Rudy has until Wednesday to publicly apologize before he is sued by The Lincoln Project.

Supreme Court refuses Trump effort to block tax return subpoenaThe Supreme Court has cleared the way for prosecutors in New York City to receive eight years of former President Donald Trump’s tax returns and other financial records as part of an ongoing investigation into possible tax, insurance and bank fraud in Trump’s business empire. The high court’s decision to turn down Trump’s request for a stay of a grand jury subpoena advances a criminal probe by Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance Jr. that appears to be one of the most serious of an array of legal threats Trump faces in his post-presidency. White House Residence Employees Say There’s One Major Difference Between the Trumps & BidensWhen any new family steps into the White House, there are, of course, lots of changes to be made. The decor will suit the administration’s design tastes, the occupants will have specific food requests, and there are obvious political differences. But a new article in The New Yorker is pointing out a key change between Donald Trump and Joe Biden’s demeanor when it comes to working with the staff. Most of the employees at the White House work through multiple administrations — party affiliations rarely matter in this situation — and they are honored to serve any president. Yet there’s already a notable difference between the two families, and the residence staff is speaking up about how they were treated by Donald and Melania Trump and what it’s like now with Joe and Dr. Jill Biden. As one staff member told The New Yorker, “It’s like night and day.” For starters, the Bidens broke unofficial protocol — in a good way — by greeting the staff in the White House right away in order to make sure they started off on the right foot. “The Bidens came in and the first thing they did was make a loop of the State Floor and greet the staff,” the same employee explained while crying. “We were all very flattered. Usually, we meet them in the first days or first weeks, but never in the first minutes.” The Bidens warmly greeted them while still maintaining COVID-19 protocols, which became a sticking point in the Trump administration; workers reportedly were often stressed out about the lack of concern for their well-being. One employee named Jason talked about the chaos created with no clear plan in place — White House staff was getting sick with the virus and the ones who had recovered had to put in additional hours to cover for those out sick. “There was lots and lots of confusion, no direction from the top, a complete lack of empathy, sympathy,” he said. “The Christmas parties with maskless hordes were catered, but [the staff] would have to be there for this and that. Someone’s got to be there, not everyone can leave while the catering crew comes in. There was not a steady message on how to keep you safe.” Complete article here: White House Residence Employees Say There’s One Major Difference Between the Trumps & Bidens

I'd like to see every member of the Trump family fall after getting struck in the head by an RPG. On the evening news, not some fake video.

Wasn't there a doctored video of Trump clobbering someone? At a wrestling match or prizefight, I think.
