One of my friends on FB was praising Trump yesterday about how great he is doing, how great the economy is, blah blah. I stated facts that the economy has tanked, 2.25 millions of people have filed for unemployment this week, etc. He and his friends jumped on me and one called me a retard. Trumpsters do not understand FACTS!!! For fucks sake dig your head out of the sand!! This man is psycho and ruining our country! They have known about this since Jan 3!!!

why is it bad reporting? it is a very real question.
people ARE scared. it is not normal behavior to fill up the station wagon with TP, water and hand gel.
he is the worst fucking president ever. he is EL PEOR.
I am not impressed with it as a question. It was a "serve it up and let him hit it out of the park" opportunity for a campaign commercial for Trump. Trump turned it into a commercial clip against him. casey at the bat.

Yes, but can this country ever claw back up? Him in 4 more years may seal our fate as a nation. I hate to die seeing this country destroyed. My poor son and family, how sad for them.

He is successful at something. Every crisis we’ve had has had someone step up to be the leader we need in the moment. The CDC head is shaping up to be the leader now. State governments are similarly stepping up. Members of congress are pushing through financial packages. Trump is fading into the background noise. If we ignore him and let the experts manage this thing we will make it through.

Like I've said, I'm concerned about the financial system and what he has destroyed in the trenches.

Had trump not been an immoral, immature, temper-tantrum throwing, childish brat all his life, and especially now, the press might not be so hard on him. trump has brought this on himself. Trump lashes out at networks, newspapers: All I see is 'hatred of me'President Trump late Sunday lashed out at a group of news networks and newspapers over their coverage of his administration's response to the coronavirus outbreak, claiming that all he's seen is "hatred of me." "I watch and listen to the Fake News, CNN, MSDNC, ABC, NBC, CBS, some of FOX (desperately & foolishly pleading to be politically correct), the [New York Times], & the [Washington Post], and all I see is hatred of me at any cost," Trump said on Twitter. "Don't they understand that they are destroying themselves?" he asked. Trump lashes out at networks, newspapers: All I see is 'hatred of me'No, trump, it's you who is destroying yourself and the country. You are in way over your head with your limited abilities.

Letter from GermanyA Democracy Hunkers Down ull disclosure: this is not really from Germany. I left at the beginning of the month, when awareness of the coronavirus—compared to where we are today—was still in its infancy. Then it was just an extra set of questions at the airport (Had I been to China, South Korea, or Italy?); some free advice about hygiene on the plane (be sure to flush the toilet and wash your hands thoroughly); and a brief delay once we landed. Now we are in a near lockdown situation in many places in the United States, and in Germany, too, curfews and restrictions are the order of the day. Leaving Germany less than three weeks ago seems like a lifetime ago. But having returned home, I find myself a little envious of the Germans. Last Wednesday, Chancellor Angela Merkel addressed the nation, and with exemplary brevity, calm, and compassion laid out the extraordinary challenge posed by the coronavirus, and the German government’s firm response. Justin Davidson, writing for New York Magazine, put it best: “Leader of the Free World Gives a Speech, and She Nails It.” “Without accusations, boasts, hedges, obfuscations, dubious claims, or apocalyptic metaphors,” he observed, “she did what a leader is supposed to do.” Indeed she did. Toward the end of her remarkably short speech (under thirteen minutes), having explained what she sees as a “historic task” unrivaled by any challenge since the Second World War, Merkel got personal, solemnly intoning “Ich appelliere an Sie” (I appeal to you). Reflecting the address’s meticulous choreography, the camera then zoomed in to more tightly frame the chancellor as well as the historic Reichstagsgebäude (the seat of the German Parliament) just behind her. “Wir sind eine Demokratie” (we are a democracy), she reminded her listeners; “we don’t live by force,” but by shared knowledge and cooperation. This is pretty dramatic, because the burning of the Reichstaggebäude in February 1933 is iconic for the loss of Germany’s first democracy. Framed now by the simple black, red, and gold of the German flag at the Chancellor’s side and atop the Reichstagsgebäude (fairly recent appurtenances in postwar German political iconography, by the way), the message was clear: this time around it would be different. Then came the most memorable lines. Complete article here: Letter from Germany

I'm surprised Trump hasn't had an aneurism from the stress of having people hate him so publically.

How about just saying: “That’s a pile of bullshit, Mr. President”. No way Dr. Fauci would be able to push over that mountain of goo.

Satire from The Borowitz Report Trump Invokes Defense Production Act to Mass-Produce Gallons of Spray Tan
By Andy Borowitz WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)—At long last invoking the Defense Production Act, Donald J. Trump has ordered the nation’s factories to begin mass-producing gallons of spray tan. Speaking at the White House on Tuesday, Trump said that, because millions of Americans have been forced to remain indoors, the country’s stockpiles of fake-tan reserves have fallen to “dangerously low” levels. “I sent Mike Pence out to buy some yesterday, and he went to store after store and they were all out,” Trump said. “It’s a disgraceful situation.” Under the order, the specific hue of spray tan that Trump has demanded will be pumped out by retrofitted factories that normally manufacture orange paint. the information coming from the government seems more questionable to me than the information NOT coming from the government.
so, how would Fauci not working for the government make him MORE questionable?
