Yes. Speaking of hell, my cat has a large mass that is likely cancer. How much money would I like to spend to determine what is going on and what we can do about it? My answer: What advice do you have for keeping him comfortable? Age of cat and is it causing any problems right now? I had a dog with huge masses for quite a while that didn't seem to affect her at all. Until they did. The cat is 14, and acts like he is very elderly (which 14 ain't young for a cat). I don't know if the mass is causing problems, or if he is just old and decrepit, and happens to have a mass. He looks really skinny, and he has slowed down on eating. He is having a hard time getting up and down (from beds and chairs and couches, etc.) He stands like he is in pain, with his legs splayed a little. He is coming to the end. It isn't a surprise as he has been going downhill for awhile, but it is still sad, cause he has been a good cat and I love him.

None of my other cats made it past 12. If I had a do over on the first cat (the one that lived to be 16), I kept him alive for me without regard for his pain. He was good at hiding it, but he was skin and bones for a couple of years. The vet finally had to tell me enough is enough and to let him go. He was sickly his entire life and I spent a small fortune on him. I would do that again but I would pay more attention to his pain--not my pain in losing him.

I ran over not one, but two skunks on my way to work yesterday. Shouldn’t I be allowed to just go home and back to bed?

If they won't let you maybe you could park your car close to the nearest door that is used a lot at your office?
OH I just realized you said YESTERDAY - little late to be asking maybe! Unless you are still at work from yesterday - hell I give up just friggin go home whenever you want

He was sickly his entire life and I spent a small fortune on him. I would do that again but I would pay more attention to his pain--not my pain in losing him. My last cat was just shy of 20 years old. I still had questions if I was doing the right thing, because her health would come and go. One day she was out chasing bugs, the next lying immobile in the floor. She always had a good day when I made plans to take her in. It was torture for me. The cat before that was like 17, and we probably should have taken him in sooner. But, we were sure it was time. We question if he was actually alive when they gave him the shot. He didn't look it. Somehow, I wouldn't be surprised if this guy goes in the backyard and dies without us. He's the type to handle this by himself.

Every time I have had to make the decision to euthanize a cat, it has been torture for me. Pure torture.
FeLv made the first decision easy. She was only a year old but in so much pain.
Others were cancer and they let me know.

Others were cancer and they let me know. Asia was 19 and CousCous was 20. They were both fine until the very end. They just stopped eating, and looked at me with the expression "OK, I'm done. It's time." It still hurt. A lot.

Age of cat and is it causing any problems right now? I had a dog with huge masses for quite a while that didn't seem to affect her at all. Until they did. My cats with masses, there were many, all got prednisone to keep them comfortable. They all lasted quite a while on it. My biggest issue is piling the cat. One cat refused to be pilled but he would take it by syringe. The rest of them were all dumb and were fine with me shoving it in their mouths. I'm fucked if the 2 I have now ever need meds because they are NOT people-friendly. AT ALL. My neighbor has a very elderly cat that takes all sorts of medications. She uses pill pockets and he eats them right up because they are tasty treats.

At JFK airport. I'm the only one here who speaks English. I really don't mind it's just that I just can't eaves drop to help pass the time.

Our Rascal lived to almost 20. He went to the vet and died while there. We knew he was old, but the vet said it appeared he was ready to go and he died while under anesthesia for a minor issue.

I started coughing so I took a sip of tea. At that very moment I had to sneeze, which does not work when your mouth is full of fluid. I aspirated the tea into my nose. Due to that I started coughing again which resulted in tea coming out my nose. All in front of two of my coworkers.
I am now scared of tea.

I woke up with a big blood clot where my dental implant was uncovered three days ago. Now I can't eat and have to schlep the kids to the doctor to make sure everything is ok. I'm so tired of dental work.

It's 1:08 AM. I am very tired but can't fall asleep. I am experiencing very anxious, worrisome emotions. Not sure what's wrong. I'll try to say some prayers and hope it passes. It's that feeling you have when you're waiting for the other shoe to drop. Hopefully it will go away soon.

My dear old kitty, Little Black, was 21. I too had mixed feelings. She was drinking water constantly, ate and ate and was losing weight. She peed until the poor thing must have hurt. I decided it was time. But I wonder if I could have just dealt with it and she could have lived longer. I don't know if she was suffering or not. But I didn't pick her up she acted like that was hurting her.
