Great. My family would love to not be pasty pale and prone to sunburn easily.

Beat you all to it! I'm more of a medium caramel, however.

I recently attended a conference where a demographer presented research backing up your theory. In addition, her research indicated that most people are good with it. Interracial marriages are one reason for the shift. Despite what the media portrays, I believe most people (especially the younger generations) don't make distinctions based on color any longer.
The demographer was extremely interesting. She showed a survey from the 1960's where people listed the top 3 things that were important to them when looking for a mate. Race came in as number one and number two was religious affiliation. I don't remember what number 3 was. Then she put up the same survey from 2017. Number one was "not being addicted to electronic devices." That made everyone LOL!

Does this mean my gray hair is going to turn dark tomorrow? I would really like to keep my green eyes. Sorta olive skinned now due to part Lebanese genes. When will this transformation take place. I want to be prepared. Don't want to wake up one morning and see total strange in the mirror

We're ALL going to be light caramel with dark hair and eyes. Deal with it. It will be an improvement. And look beautiful.

It doesn't go the other way without chemical assistance.

Too late for me...who is fair skinned, burns easily, has freckles, reddish tint to hair years ago...mostly white now.
But my grand kids are already sort like described...dark hair, tan easily...since they are half Japanese....and granddaughter did get a slight bit of my natural curl too.

I have the dark hair, but I'm a pale face with blue eyes. I like my blue eyes.

My blue eyes and fair skin are a liability living in the South, where I have to constantly squint (or wear sunglasses all the time) due to the intense sunlight, and can't venture outside for more than a few minutes without slathering on the sunscreen, as I burn red, then fade back to white again. (No nice tanned intermediate).
If you look at the native populations that migrated northwards out of the cradle of civilization (Mesopotamia), the further north they moved the whiter they got, so they could continue to create vitamin D through the small patches of skin still visible when they layered on all the clothes they needed to keep from freezing to death. The genes meant to help me survive that environment are no longer adapted to where most people live now, so skin that can tan and eyes that are less light sensitive would be a genetic advantage for my branch of the human genome. I did my part to improve the breeding stock by marrying a very tannable, brown eyed man, but unfortunately, our DS (while brown eyed) still has that electric white skin, and then he went and married a blond haired blue eyed girl. I'm afraid our genetic line is doomed to failure, if we don't do a better job cross breeding with more adaptable stock...

I don't see it as failure, but as integration. I mean, adapt or die right? If we are heading towards a hotter, warmer climate, us pasty white folks aren't going to be of much use.

Depending on how much Great White North we still have left in a few decades/centuries. No species lasts in stasis for very long.

Well that is why Trump and Co are planning the Ethinic Cleanse. After they convince all the whites to fear the invasion, they will start purging brown people.
DD just got her 23 and me results: 73.7% European, 21% East Asian & Native American, 1.5% Sub-Saharan African and .3% Western Asian & North African. My DH always claimed that one of his Grandfathers or Great Grandfathers was part black - he said his skin was very dark. DD said too bad she did not know this before she went to college, she could have applied for financial aid/scholarships based on the Native American Ancestry. We told her it does not work that way, and besides the Native American Ancestors are Mexican Indian Tribes not ones from the US.
I figure if you have dark skin, you are just a DNA test away from being a target of the White Supremacist MAGA crowd.

Dark hair (before it went white due to genes and age), brown eyes, and skin that burns like that of a redhead... Where is the justice in that?
