Does the SNAP card also state what kind of vehicle they drive, or is it tattooed on their foreheads? i'm more amazed people cannot do this keep their eyes open and watch. There is not a room or event i'm in that i don't know where the exits are, peoples actions the clothes they wear. The cars they pull up in and leave in. Ed the Watcher...👀

One third of cars are underwater, and I suspect the people on food stamps are more likely to be underwater than the ones that are not. What should someone do if they lose their job and they owe more on their $15,000 car than it's worth? My preference would be for them to use the car to find another job, rather than to have it repo'd and then not be able to get another job.

As far as the administrative changes go, the current administration is within their rights. I believe the policies were loosened up administratively rather than legislatively. So its not really stepping on the legislature's toes to make the rules strict again through the same method. I dislike the changes for the following reasons.
I think reinstating a resource limit of around $2000 is going to penalize people who plan ahead for emergencies and try to be responsible. It will especially hurt families with teenagers that are working part time and trying to save up for school. It will encourage people to live paycheck to paycheck and reinforce their dependency.
I think the expanded work requirements are fine in states that have robust jobs programs. If the state is willing to provide opportunities to participate in job activities, classes, and internships to satisfy the work requirement, then I think it is beneficial and could help marginal people to find work. I think it is terrible in the states that don't provide any job search assistance or any alternate way to fulfill the work requirement if the person can't find a job. You end up with people who are going hungry because they can't find work, but they don't qualify for food assistance because they can't find work. This is a bigger problem in rural areas where they are fewer employers and no nearby jobs offices.
There are also a bunch of states that have gotten waivers for a similar work requirement for medicaid. I think this is bad because a lot of people with poor health end up losing their job before they are actually sick enough to qualify as disabled. I am worried that a lot of the in between people that are too sick to work but not sick enough to be disabled will end up with no medical coverage.

I went to grad school in an area where everybody got their monthly allotment of food stamps on exactly the same day. So if I made the mistake of going to Aldie’s on foodstamp day, even someone who is as oblivious as me would have a pretty good idea about what people on food stamps or buying. The place was a complete madhouse and foodstamp day. The carts were usually filled top to bottom with overpriced, over processed crap that takes no effort to prepare, along with useless crap like soda and chips. Nothing wildly extravagant, just profoundly lazy.

So do you just have the Kelley Blue Book App open constantly and know what zip code these people live in, how many miles they have on their vehicle, if it has been salvaged or not, what the interior looks like, etc? Because all of that affects the value of a car. I drive a pretty nice car, but it has a lot of miles. It looks like its worth a lot more than 6-7K.

When are you going to call out that grifter? Or are you too busy videoing shopping carts down at the Piggly Wiggly to give a shit?

While not true for everyone, there are quite a few people living on the margin that do not have the capability to prepare healthy meals.

the rich can eat well. and the poor can eat gummy bears.

While not true for everyone, there are quite a few people living on the margin that do not have the capability to prepare healthy meals. I was living on $9000 a year in the mid-1990s. Me and my neighbors all had full kitchens. Most of them were simply unwilling to cook anything that involves more than two minutes of prep time, even though none of them were working even half the hours I was. Now I do know that there are people who are living in places without kitchens, or are working a crazy number of hours. For example, in another town I lived in, there were people on the bus with me who spent 5 hours a day getting to and from work. That’s a completely separate case.

Probably the check is in the mail There have been multiple invoices over these several months, and there are tens of thousands of dollars in late fees already accrued. But yeah, make more excuses for the Conman-in-Chief.

Did settle for $23 million the suit against his fraudulent Trump University. Would have been embarrassing to be charged with all those counts of Fraud while waiting to be inaugurated. Do those blinders ever hurt?

Do those blinders ever hurt? I am aware of lawsuits. It happens --he is a shrewed business man would rather wait until someone sues him than to pay full amount then use his financial position to wait it out and settle out of court for pennies on a dollar. Not exactly a great business model but still just business. That is what would make a great president for international dealings push the shit out of other countries until they cave.

How many of these 4000 lawsuits, resulted in judgement against Trump??

When we went through this before and I brought up the $24 million he paid, when you specifically asked me if he had ever paid, you didn’t even respond. Yet you seem to pretend you would like “dialogue “. Sure you do. I’ll just chalk you an Ed up as being supporters of Trump ripping people off. How shrewd he is. How amazing to throw a phalanx of corporate lawyers on some contractors that DID good work, that DID complete the job. So I won’t be looking anything up for you because you are so tainted now you wouldn’t believe it anyway.
