I, too, hope you can find the answers you need. I can tell you it's definitely possible to have an infection for over a year. If that's what it is, an infectious disease doc should be able to help. Good luck! Yesterday was a really weird day. I took the new antibiotic, my stomach rumbled and groaned all day, and then after a bought of run to the toilet, I started feeling a LOT better. Today, I took another dose expecting the same but I honestly feel great. Today is the first day I haven't had pain in a really long time. It's weird, it's just gone and I have energy again. It makes me cautiously hopeful this actually was the problem and that all the antibiotics and gentler diet are working.

Hopefully you're almost over it all by now. You deserve a break.

Well, I finished my round of antibiotics and am back to having the groin pain I had before all the food poisoning started. Ug.
I'm going to try and get a doctor's appointment for further advice... So frustrating.

After a wakeful night of screaming groin pain, I sucked it up and went back to see the RNNP today.
I'm back on the strong antibiotics for 10 more days, and have a referral to the GYN who did my surgery to see if she thinks I have a pelvic floor muscle injury, mesh problem, or perhaps adhesions.
Hoping the antibiotics do the trick.
