Cool, calm and collected. Apparently because I like the beach! But that doesn't describe my house at all. Actually I think there is really no style, just a random collection of stuff. My house is also a random collection of stuff and will always be that way. I'm still using furniture the church group from grad school gave to my roommate and me when we got our first apartment together along with furniture my mom gave me at that time. That furniture is made to last, unlike today's furniture. I still have the 9 drawer/mirror triple dresser that I bought when I was PG with my son - cr 1966. Weighs a ton. Kiddo says he's going to gut it and will bury me in it. That comes from having hauled it up and down stairs over the years of living off and on in apartments and never ever on the first floor

I used a couch that I FOUND ON THE STREET for about 8 years. It was in perfect condition, just dusty. I spoke to the owner to see if I can take it. "Sure, go ahead! We were hoping someone would take it. We bought to go in the basement, but it was never used." With Sushi's propensity to shred couches down to the bare wood, I'm not buying anything expensive. The one I bought yesterday was $399.
