I always thought it was ridiculous we think of ourselves as such special snowflakes deserving a spot in the ground to rot in a vault. What a waste of space and resources.
This idea to me makes sense.

to sweet-smelling black stuff. The process will take a couple of weeks, and I don't want to be around for the first few turnings.
I read the article carefully and am surprised that there isn't a grinding step involved. Were folks just being delicate or is it possible to do this without either grinding the body at the beginning or the larger bones at the end?

Embalming is so freaking gross. I have told my husband to not embalm me. Just cremate me. If I have to be in a box, just get one of the cardboard ones they use for homeless people. I would love to be composted and finally contribute something to this planet.
