Nope, they're still with her. The young Turks are itching to pull the trigger, and so are many others. She is inching closer too, but she knows how to play this game, and she is happily giving trump enough rope to hang himself. High. Seriously. Like today, I was ‘why are they bothering to meet with him in infrastructure?’ ... and then trump storms out and announces to the world he won’t do his job while being investigated... and Pelosi wins again... It’s a necessary slow burn. I just hope some of the things happening in the meantime are still fixable... I am not terribly optimistic. I'm not that optimistic either, but we need to let it play out. I don't know what's going to happen between now and then, but I am fairly certain that it isn't Trump that really wants to stay, but his beloved daughter and her hubby Jared. I would love to know how much money got funneled to big companies including the Kushners and others. Lots of stuff going on here, and it feels motivated from the federal level not the state. I am sure there are various levels, but the amount of construction locally beats even the retail recovery from the credit crisis. I see Caterpillar equipment this round, lots of expensive gorgeous work trucks from different states. Trucks from Maryland to help Verizon in its FIOS cutover, paving projects on I-287 and smaller highways. Consolidation in the healthcare space continues and more KRE branded buildings. I bet the beautiful light blue trucks are connected to a Trump donor. Big $$$.

I agree, we need to have an impeachment investigation. I just don't think we need to vote to impeach, because we don't have the votes, it will fail, and Trump will spin that into a vindication, which it is not.
However, it's important to get the full Mueller report out, and to get Mueller to testify publically, because Trump just told Barr to review the Mueller report and cherry pick which parts of the report should be made public. We absolutely don't need Trump's version of the report out there, without also having the whole report available, and Mueller to explain it. Too many voters are low information voters and would fall for Trump's propaganda if we don't.
Could they do the whole investigation, wrap up all the evidence, set it aside, claim it would be uncool to impeach during the campaign, and then see if they gain the Senate in 2020 (and if he gets re-elected). If they find anything criminal and he isn't reelected, turn it over to someone who can charge him. Reasonable, but I personally think something should come out 10 days before the election... Karma and all that.

And jailing women simply because they are female and don't go with the patriarchal program. I listened to the male Yahoo signing into law the thing about no abortions after 8 weeks in Kansas. Because according to him two months is enough. Well Mr. Elected official, there is no automagic notification to women that they are pregnant. In fact, many might not notice until they missed period #2, around 8 weeks or so. Is it wrong to ask the law be amended so all the people who pass it are responsible for all medical costs and care of the child until age 18 if the woman / couple is in a certain level of economic or life hardship?

Trump is a newby who doesn't have the temperament for politics or the patience to learn how to play the game. Pelosi regularly out runs circles around Trump, who doesn't even realize he's being played.
Ultimately, I think Pelosi will give him enough rope to hang himself, and Trump will box himself into a corner and out of the next election before he even realizes what hit him.

I did not think I was older than you. 1998? You're like 12 - 18 months older than I am. I swear I'm not stalking you; it's just we've had this realization before. ETA: Okay, I thought the investigation started in the mid-90s, but apparently not. I was of voting age in 1998. Then I'm older than you too. I'm only a few months younger than chiver.

I really hope you are right, but Trump is supported by a Trump machine, so Ivanka and Hubby among others have to be out-foxed as well. Personally, I am worried given the recent EU elections show a sad swing to the hard right. Macron losing in France saddens me.

We will have to deal with this for awhile.

Some European countries moved to the right, but others moved to the left (Green) party - seems like people are abandoning the middle for both edges.
I think Belgium, Finland, Germany, a couple others moved Green.

Is it abandoning the middle or the establishment?

Is it abandoning the middle or the establishment? Good question. I think the establishment, actually.
