William Pickton. The worst serial killer in Canadian history. I guess I overthought the problem. I figured there must be significance to the fact that CL found the stranger irresistible but didn't bother to ask him for his number. I also wondered about the inheritance angle. If CL and her sister stood to inherit their mother's estate, getting rid of CL's sister would make sure that CL was the sole inheritor. But this theory doesn't rely on the mysterious stranger unless he was the mother's slave/bondservant. In that case, the murder would ensure that CL's sister didn't inherit the sole article of her mother's property that CL truly desired. How did MY name get into your musings?

Well - I'm not crazy - I knew the answer without reading the question all the way through.
My aunt asked our family the same question around 8-9 years ago. Turns out only her and my dad got it without problem. I've got a ton of Lateral Thinking books at home. I'll see if I can find them tonight, they have tons of problems like this in them.

I will admit so that CL doesn't feel all alone in her psychopath status that I totally got the answer right. Of course then my next thought was "hope he shows up so she doesn't decide to kill her brother!".
CL- DS loves all of those procedural dramas. When he was 5 or 6 (almost 13 now) He told DH not to throw his coffee cup out in a public garbage can because it had his DNA on it. Maybe I should have him answer the question ?

LMAO Sheila! I asked DH and DS last night, DH was clueless, DS got it right away. Never did ask DD.

Thanks Angel Glad I could amuse you this fine afternoon. Don't know the cowbell- I have one hanging on my front door as my "alarm" system. I just hope the sneaky thieves don't try the back door (no cowbell )

CL- Nope sorry. I was talking about an actual antique cowbell that I purchased in Germany. Knowing the posters on this board the cowbell you are referring to is probably either something gross or perverted isn't it?

No, it's an old SNL skit with Christopher Walken in it. You can find it on you tube. He keeps yelling that a song needs more cowbell.

Ahh-- thanks. Will track that down later. I was just having flashbacks to all the threads about "what's on your nightstand" and "did the neighbor's find your naughty toys" etc. Glad I was wrong and it was a nice innocent Christopher Walken sketch

I guessed wrong, but I could still be EE-psycho. I thought she found her sister bopping the dream guy. Me three... I guess that means my mind is in the gutter.

I asked my sister too (hoping to find someone else I know in RL that answered the same as me- then we can team up ) She thought the woman killed her sister because the guy liked her sister more and gave the sister his phone number.

I am still in therapy over some googling they talked me into 2 years ago! There are things that just can't be unseen no matter how many times you stab your mind's eye with an ice pick.
