I don't think CNN wants him out of office. I think they are in bank mode. I think they are making money like Fox did when Obama was in office. Being the angry underdog raging at power is exciting. I am starting to wonder if Fox wants him out of office, so they can go back to flinging shit about Democrats and not having it overshadowed by their President. Based on actual viewer numbers CNN is out of business. Whether their advertisers are paying regular rates for ads with diminished viewer numbers, I do not know. If advertisers like the economic value of the viewers watching and is worth paying regular rates is up to advertisers ?? Where do u get they are out of business...Are they a public traded company where financials are available to all? That Fox has larger audience ...so be it...I have tried a few times to watch Fox...don't believe I lasted more the minutes if that...I grant u that CNN repeating same shtick gets monotonous thus one has to leave it...not sure what they would do if Trump was gone but am sure they would come up with a new shtick..

Trump issued an order that no federal government offices can subscribe to the WP or New York Times, because they are 'fake' news and treat him horribly. His spokes person insists this will save tax payers 'hundreds of thousands of dollars.'
WP pointed out that they give a free digital subscription to anyone who has a .gov email address, so, no tax payer expense for any of them.
Apparently, this is what Trump means when he says everyone in the GOP has to 'fight back viciously' because the Dems are all vicious with this impeachment nonsense.
Glad Trump is using his time wisely by trying to punish people and organizations who fail to glorify him adequately. That's a huge waste of tax payer money, his salary.
He can't force anyone in the federal judiciary or the congressional org charts to do anything. 3 equal branches.

Slowly but surely, the winnowing process is taking its toll on the Democratic presidential field. On Thursday, Ohio Rep. Tim Ryan dropped out of the race to focus on his reelection bid in the House.
who?

so Trump is officially a cult, now. only cult leaders demand that their followers not inform themselves.

Biden is now clearly back in front again, +9%
Warren is falling, and Sanders is rising, so they are again "2nd tier".
Buttigeig is well ahead of the rest of the pack, but 10% behind Sanders, so he is 3rd tier, but just barely.
nobody else has much of a chance at this point. it would be better if they dropped out.

I wonder if Buttigeig would consider being VP under Biden? His youth and gayness would help Biden's grandad image, and I could see Buttigeig being a very active VP. Plus that would leave him in a great position in 2024, when surely Biden would be too old for a second term....

Hillary Clinton leads Trump in a new Fox News poll. Yes, in November 2019.A Fox News poll released Sunday did not have great news for President Trump. His approval rating was 42 percent, with 57 percent of registered voters disapproving of his job performance and 46 percent strongly disapproving. A year before the 2020 election, he is behind all of the top-tier Democrats, including former Vice President Joe Biden (51 percent to 39 percent), Sen. Elizabeth Warren (46 percent to 41 percent), and Sen. Bernie Sanders (49 percent to 41 percent). Even worse, Trump is losing to Hillary Clinton, who isn't even running, 43 percent to 41 percent. Since Clinton is not running, it isn't clear why Fox News decided to ask voters to choose between her and Trump. The pollsters noted that the last time they included Clinton in a matchup against Trump was Nov. 3-6, 2016, during which period she was also leading Trump, 46 percent to 42 percent — and also actually running for president. Which, again, she isn't currently. Complete article here: Hillary Clinton leads Trump in a new Fox News poll. Yes, in November 2019.Poll here and Hillary Clinton question is #43: Fox Poll Link

538 had each state polls in categories - very red, probably red, maybe red, unclear, maybe blue, probably blue, definitely blue. I believe they had them listed in order, so if my state is slightly more red than yours, my is listed first. They had a running total of electoral votes. Does that count?

of course. in the absence of any real data, the incumbent is most likely to win.
what about it?

Seeing something as likely doesn't mean you find it desirable. And...the presidential election is a year away yet...LOTS of things can happen...DT could drop dead or turn over one of those golf carts and be forever paralyzed. Others running for office could drop out or have major medical issues....too much time for any hard projections yet.

I'm curious, since polling began, who is the least popular incumbent president who won re-election?
I'll have to go look. Found it. Looks like the average approval rating for Obama's first term was 49.1 and Clinton's was 49.6, and they still got elected. Carter and Ford were worse but didn't win re-election (or didn't try). news.gallup.com/poll/116677/presidential-approval-ratings-gallup-historical-statistics-trends.aspx
Trumps at 41.3 today, according to 538. Guess he better get cracking.

interestingly, Sanders and Buttigeig are at a 7 month high in polling today. the standings have not changed, but Harris has fallen back a bit, and Warren and Biden are stalled out in 2nd and 1st, respectively. two polls this week have Biden +12.

Speculation is that some Dem voters think Warren is too radical.
They think moderate will win.
So they've been shifting votes to the more moderate Biden and Buttigieg.

Let them look for a new leader though believe the Donald will be speaking out in their support at times...

Biden is now way out ahead again.
the interesting development is that Buttigeig is a serious contender. he is STILL in 4th, but he is now in double digits, and has polled in SECOND in a recent survey.
so, now, we have Biden out ahead by double digits, and THREE 2nd tier candidates that are capable of making a run for it, but they are going to have to make it soon, as there are only 60 days to the first primary.
2nd tier: Sanders, Warren, Butteigeig.

That's what I'm hoping, actually. Both sides need to learn (again) that you cannot govern from an extreme.
