My Liberal crisis is that I overlooked 2 empty paint cans when I took all the others to the great American clean up in my town last weekend. I'm going to have to hold onto them until this fall now.

Empty? If there is some paint left you can dry it up with cat litter, saw dust or dirt and here put them in the regular trash.

Kiddo & I have been cleaning out the garage before hubby comes back home. I took 9 paint cans & 3 containers of old oil from where hubby changed the oil in our vehicles to our spring Great American clean up in town. They will do another one this fall & I'll take the rest up then.

My liberal crisis is what should I get DH for his birthday? I decided on a seafood restaurant for dinner. I think I will skip the gift.
I could not remember if he gave me a gift - if he did it was probably flowers.

Maybe I'm biased, but I feel like the liberal crisis' are considered an actual crisis anywhere else in the world. Children being shot and killed in schools, people dying because of lack of healthcare, citizens of one of the richest nations on the planet who are starving and homeless, seems like some shit to take seriously! But not here in America, where half our population thinks building a wall will solve all of our problems. I always thought it was for the illegal immigration problem. Maybe you have a link for the claim of "all the problems" ? (bolded)

My liberal crisis is the weather. I have to walk home from the bus stop, a whopping 10 min walk, in the drizzling rain.

My liberal crisis is the dog can open all the doors by himself but not close them and lets the flies in... and I forgot to lock the front one today and he ran away for a bit. Grrrr.

Mine is weather related as well. I had planned on vacuuming the car after work, but it's kind of chilly out so I guess it'll wait until tomorrow.

Wholly fuck...
Forget my dog... the biggest employer in the next county, a manufacturing plant, just announced they are closing effective immediately. Said everyone needs to go home and the police and sherif were there to make sure things didn’t get out of hand.

They aren't politically correct because they are a mere approximation of the correct Mexican rendition. Alas. but they're tasty.

The local paper updating says the commissioners are looking into it... but the company told employees an hour ago and state police, sherif office and local police were all called to see everyone out... not sure what they will do... Estimates are 700-800 unemployed in one shot. A few will finish orders and my friend’s husband in the boiler room has a few weeks to go.

The majority of the employees in the US are 'at will'. I guess it depends on a contract, etc.

WARN Act says 60 days notice for large scale lay off or plant closure. 100 or more employees. Now I remember. I've been retired for a while, thanks.

WARN Act says 60 days notice for large scale lay off or plant closure. 100 or more employees. Now I remember. I've been retired for a while, thanks. 50 or more in this case (and this sure as h*ll qualifies):
"The WARN Act Requires Employers to Give 60 Days Notice The WARN Act requires that the employer provide 60 days written notice of the intention to lay off more than 50 employees during any 30-day period as part of a plant closing. The notice must be provided to employees, the State dislocated worker unit and the chief elected official of the unit of local government in which the employment site is located, and any collective bargaining unit."

Mine is weather related as well. I had planned on vacuuming the car after work, but it's kind of chilly out so I guess it'll wait until tomorrow. That's how I feel about vacuuming and dusting in the house. If it isn't exactly 71.4 degrees outside for an extended period, I won't vacuum the house.

Ok. Apparently the are claiming waiver from WARN under:
Faltering company. This exception, to be narrowly construed, covers situations where a company has sought new capital or business to stay open and where giving notice would ruin the opportunity to get the new capital or business, and applies only to plant closings.
Unforeseeable business circumstances. This exception applies to closings and layoffs that are caused by business circumstances that were not reasonably foreseeable at the time notice would otherwise have been required.

Is the cat ok waltz? My dog has also been known to jump out a window if all the doors are locked... I don't know. No bones seem broken, but there's a possibility of haemorrhage. I don't know if he landed on his feet from the second floor. He's old. I'm keeping a close eye on him.
