Because Nurses are what is driving the outsized cost growth in healthcare. NOT! because Nurses are unionized, they must be destroyed.

I've never spent much time in or around hospitals, but I have a lot of difficulty believing any nurses anywhere are playing cards for much of their shift. Dumbass doesn't know the difference between "cards" and " cardiology".

It's utterly pointless to respond to you and yet... Yes, it is required and yet they don't get to take one BECAUSE THERE AREN'T ENOUGH STAFF SCHEDULED for them to do so. Because hiring more staff would cut into profits. Instead of letting patients suffer, they skip breaks and lunch. Honestly, if it was already happening, or where it is already happening, the law shouldn't matter because it's required yo. And seriously you need a new hobby or some friends. Find something to look forward to each day more than the thrill of bad internet trolling. No, It is Federal Law! The law doesn't matter to me,
maybe I was responding to " I guess Republican women are no smarter than Republican men!"

Oh, the new law covers staggered lunches?? If you've read the law, and it states that all nurses have to take lunch at the same time, I will eat my hat. Please provide a link. Are you sure you read that right?

Well that is how it will be under the new law, Comes in with a massive heart attack,
Can't you see i'm at lunch,,
Could you come back later,,, I should be gone by then,,, or Think you could take you sillyassed problem down to the credit manager first? Ok, Ok, I will make more realistic here,, Old White Mam comes in Wearing a red MAGA hat!!! Nurse: Yu're gonna die!!
I have said this before to another member of the MAGA group: you really suffer from a persecution complex. You are always afraid that others are out to get you, to kill you off... Get over yourself already Happy Easter Lady, Hope you are having a good day.
Are you a nurse? now that would scare me, Nurse: Needle and syringe in hand, I an here to wipe that MAGA smile right off your face!

My niece doesn't get to leave until she's briefed the oncoming nurses about all the cases, which can add 2 hours to her shift. She's in neonatal nursing.

That's really stupid. The ER is ALWAYS staffed with nurses. They stagger the lunch breaks. The "massive heart attack" will be seen immediately. Have you ever heard of triage? Well that is how it will be under the new law, Comes in with a massive heart attack,

Hey, I liked it, I've always wanted to be the Star ! BTW, DW has been an RN since 1968. Trust me, they don't play cards. As for skipping Lunch - she learned long ago how to eat a sandwich on the fly - 5 minutes - between rooms.

One hospital I was in recently did this at each shift change....both nurses would come into your room & go over your protocol to make sure the incoming shift knew what was going on. I've seen others do it at the nurses station rather than visit each room.

Phil, if you're still sporting a MAGA hat at this point, I'm afraid there's not a medical professional or service out there that can help you. Anyways, got any threes? Go fish.

Sounds like another out of touch career politician.
I know that in order to make laws, you need to actually know the law. But there is something to be said for having more lawmakers who have been something other than a lawyer or political hack.
