After Stormy Daniels described trump's penis as looking like a toadstool, trump really shouldn't be throwing stones at others. Outgoing Secret Service director ridiculed as 'Dumbo' by TrumpPresident Trump had reportedly used the moniker "Dumbo" when referring to Secret Service Director Randolph Alles, who is departing from the role, because of the size of his ears. The New York Times reports Alles was told to step aside and come up with an exit plan for his departure 10 days ago. Trump reportedly became dissatisfied by Alles, nicknamed “Tex,” and had referred to the former Marine Corps major general as the animated character in the 1941 Walt Disney Productions children’s movie “Dumbo.” The character is an elephant who is ridiculed for his intellect and large ears, which allow him to fly. The only ones clinging on in this administration are the ones who are amoral, criminal, or completely oblivious.

Ok, thanks.
And you know, I don't believe 45 ever filled a bunch of vacancies from when he started.

If I remember correctly...the last thing I saw on that was over 200 vacancies....still...and now he is creating more.

Why is she making it easy for him.... I think she made it harder for him. Her calmly walking away before he could launch personal attacks had to piss him off.

I don't understand Trump's game plan here, and apparently I'm not the only one. The stretch also has revealed that a president who has routinely blamed spiking immigration numbers on others — past presidents, congressional Democrats, Mexican authorities, federal judges, human smugglers — is now coming to the realization that the problems are closer to home. Though his aides have taken the fall, and it is unlikely that Trump will blame himself, the president is facing an existential political crisis ahead of his 2020 reelection bid over the prospect of failure on his top domestic priority.
"He was politically grandstanding for his base, for his reelection, and not thinking through a plan," said Domingo Garcia, president of the League of United Latin American Citizens, who has met with White House senior adviser Jared Kushner, the president's son-in-law, to discuss immigration reform. "He has no plan except to talk about immigration as a political piñata to score points with the far right. But illegal immigration has increased in the two years he has been president." www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/twelve-days-of-chaos-inside-the-trump-white-houses-growing-panic-to-contain-the-border-crisis/ar-BBVMsLF So, I guess when you don't have an actual policy, you just start randomly throwing out threats you don't really mean and finding people to blame (and fire) so you can look 'tough' for your base voters.
Interesting. Not likely to be effective, though. I guess it doesn't have to actually be effective, it just has to appear to be tough in order to keep the far right happy.

I think she made it harder for him. Her calmly walking away before he could launch personal attacks had to piss him off. She was the line of defense that made it difficult to fill the vacancy. She gave him what he wanted. There would have been a verbal and legal battle if she had stayed. President Trump thrives on that type of situation.

Do you think he is going to have a line of people willing to step in to these positions, or, are people going to avoid them like the plague?
It is hard to be a "Chief" when there are no "Indians" to lead.

I guess it looks good on a resume.

hollowing out the government makes it easier for his cronies and our adversaries to destroy it. which is precisely the goal, I would posit.

Because they think/feel they're different from the previous holder of the position.
Because they think/feel they can do whatever their goal is and not get in trouble. Because they want to 'win' Because they can. Because they truly believe that their position is the only correct/moral one and they can advance it in some shape or form by being appointed by 45. And then they do exactly that. These are the scary ones, in my opinion.

They are sub-par candidates who wouldn't get hired by anyone else. But now they will have the title and experience.
