The man publicly states his boss is wrong on not holding the trials of the terrorists in the public courtroom and totally disagrees with the administrations collapse to Congress's desires....... President Obama campaigned and promised Gitmo and military tribunals would be gone when he took office. He made that statement after taking the oath of office. Now, two years later, he has reversed course. Three war fronts, and counting, maybe another one to start? undeniably the worse government deficits ever Now military tribunals Oh, and I still had a larger federal refund than under any years in the Bush administration (without much difference in income) I guess the liberal left did re-elect George Bush after all

This came from the Republicans. You can thank them!! Ah, no. It came from the $800 tax credit for being employed, by President Obama, but I thank him! He wanted to tax working people with larger tax bills, but he spread the wealth around to eveyone anyway. It looks like he might be a tad more conservative than he led the Democrats to believe.

10 years later and millions of dollars spent, so that the military tribunal can make Marty's out of terrorist. They will be celebrated as hero's in their homelands. We have rioting in almost every Muslim (Islamic) country now because of high unemployment and no food. At the same time some knucklehead burns the Koran in Florida. Once again great timing by our domestic and foreign policy makers.

Holder blames congress for not providing the funding to have these trials in the USA...but congress claims Obama just flipped flopped again on Gitmo for political reasons..

Truth is he did all he could to get them , the accused and held in Git mo , to the states for trial. He had a secure new prison, don't think ever used , ready for them . I believe there was a venue to hold the trials, not sure of that one. From what I understand New York City , from a financial stand point and possible the trauma still of 9/11 was not happy if the trials were held there, and if so, I can understand those concerns. Then politics entered and to this day I don't understand what the problem was for those who didn't want them brought here and rather to do it by military trial, and no , I don't expect to get a logical, non partisan answer from the ones posting here, that would be asking to much. so will just move on PS " As far as not yet closing Git mo as a prison, even though he said he would, thins happen, S888 happens, and once in office, knowing all the facts and having to deal with divergent views in Congress , with all the power one has to make decisions, in a Democracy like ours, there comes a time to pick ones battles, and I am guessing, with all that it would entail, funding primarily and even the advice of his justice department, he made the decision that this battle was not worth the using up of resources, also possible dealing with fall out in his own party. {Last part , is just a guess on my part, but a possibility }

Once in office, he sees all the files, and realizes, Bush might have ben right, and we all know he cannot ever come out and say that....... Now, what do the ubber left backers of the President do? Stay the course, or let him sink in 2012?

This is now for scoring political points especially by the voters in New York who didn't want these Muslim Terrorists tried in their city..so Obama being an astute politician did what he does best, he flipped flopped again..so no biggie..let him flip flop all he wants and lose credibility by the American public again

Stay the course, or let him sink in 2012? Once he is in office , sees all the facts, and as I said above, there is financing involved, political capital, yes he could see in this , either Bush was correct or it just was not possible to do any thing different with out spending capital that would be better spent elsewhere. If some ultra lefts are going to use that decision to not support him when he runs again then they really haven't a clue and are making a foolish decision. Now if a candidate does run in the primary against him that met their qualifications of a POTUS better then support them. However, if Obama still came out on top as the Democrate candidate, which I blieve he will, then to not support him against who ever the Pubs would put up, I can not see a moderate Pub being given the nomination, say some one I would at least listen to. Romney for me or another for some one else, realistically, Tea Pary,{ I know they don't really say the are pubs, they are just conservatives , LOL }won't allow and neither will the average run of the mill pubs, they're really not comfortable with moderate conservatives. Just the way it is and I see no Reagon, Nixon, Eisenhoweer, Ford on the horizion. Does any one else?

It will be a simple trial from here on out. All the terrorist want is to plead guilty becoming martyrs. The military will serve Justice much more quickly after a guilty plea is entered.. After 10 years at Gitmo, I am sure they are looking for no less than 10 virgins. The sooner we arrange this meeting the better.
