With 300 expected record cold temperatures, why is not called Global Cooling??
Warning of an impending Ice Age if we don't immediately throw billions of $$$$$$ at it!!! Hmmmm, this is sooooo confusing, All of the Arctic ice is supposed to be gone,, yet, we get record cold temps??
With Global Warming shouldn't be much hotter in the Winter?? With all of the water now tied up in ice ,, should we be worried about the sea levels dropping?? Wow, all of this is so hard to understand,, I mean like we have never had record temperatures ever before. 'CLIMATE CHANGE'
Not 'global warming.'
Climate change meaning sudden, erratic, unseasonal and extreme weather events.
About to break 300 records - one place in Texas changing by 70 degrees in 24 hours - you should be concerned about this news, not making silly jokes about it.
We never had any record temperatures before Global Warming?

There goes Obama's mansion! he should have known better! All this will happen in 31 years!
You mean three time worse than the 200 foot is seen in one report,
Is this the guy that said all Arctic ice would be gone by now??

Interesting how many more records are being broken because of climate change. Or is it the number of reporting stations that never used to be there, that are now reporting ? Example; 10 reporting stations in one area since 20 years ago, 10 records broken. Currently we have 30 reporting stations, same area, as of 10 years ago, 30 records broken. The number of data points in one area, can really skew the perspective of what's happening. ymam.proboards.com/post/3058736

In regards to sea levels and 100 years of current tide records. Quote; SEA LEVEL RISES DECELERATING
One of Australia’s foremost experts on the relationship between climate change and sea levels, Phil Wilson has written a peer-reviewed paper concluding that rises in sea levels are “decelerating”.
Based on the century-long tide gauge records at Fort Denison as well as; Fremantle, Western Australia (from 1897 to present), Auckland Harbour in New Zealand (1903 to present), and Pilot Station at Newcastle (1925 to present), the analysis finds there was a “consistent trend of weak deceleration” from 1940 to 2000.
Climate change researcher Howard Brady, at Macquarie University, said the recent research meant sea levels rises accepted by the CSIRO were “already dead in the water as having no sound basis in probability”.
“In all cases, it is clear that sea-level rise, although occurring, has been decelerating for at least the last half of the 20th century, and so the present trend would only produce sea level rise of around 15cm for the 21st century.”
Dr Brady said the divergence between the sea-level trends from (computer) models and sea-level trends from the tide gauge records was now so great “it is clear there is a serious problem with the models”.
Fancy that.
“A COLOSSAL SCARE STORY”
But if there is one scientist who knows more about sea levels than anyone else in the world it is the Swedish geologist and physicist Nils-Axel Mörner, formerly chairman of the INQUA International Commission on Sea Level Change.
Dr Mörner, who for 35 years has been using every known scientific method to study sea levels all over the globe, is that all this talk about the sea rising is nothing but “a colossal scare story.”
Despite fluctuations down as well as up, “the sea is not rising,” he says. “It hasn’t risen in 50 years.” If there is any rise this century it will “not be more than 10cm (four inches), with an uncertainty of plus or minus 10cm”.
And quite apart from examining the hard evidence, he says, the elementary laws of physics (latent heat needed to melt ice) tell us that the apocalypse conjured up by Al Gore and Co “could not possibly come about”. cairnsnews.org/2016/12/30/scary-sea-level-rise-on-sydney-harbour/ Also from noaa.gov ; tidesandcurrents.noaa.gov/sltrends/sltrends_global_station.shtml?stnid=680-140

Carbons is at it's highest level, Carbon is the cause of Global Warming!! Hmmm, if these levels of carbon are the cause of Global Warming, then how do you explain this?? Coldest weather in a hundred years??

Your like the yellow haired one...everything has to be literally on the dot or it's just BS... In predicting the unknown...how about considering the idea of trending...experts from where ever..those who spend their life being educated in the field of study, studying, observing, traveling too, observing, measuring...just real smart folks who ALL have same belief and yes a time line might be off a bit, even decades...but that doesn't mean they are wrong . It doesn't mean uneducated one who makes decision because his "gut" tells him it's so..and his also uneducated ones who follow everything he believes like it's the gospel are correct....

You mean engineers, architects, project managers and a whole bunch of others that can not reasonably estimate the cost of a Government project that invariably run way over on costs,
When they have a tangible product, and a short finish time!! Instead of an intangible (weather) and guesses that range out for years or even centuries!

You do know your argument , if it can be called that, holds no water. When u look at cost over runs in all projects...including government ones..many times u find that there have been changes by the purchasing party...new items added..which" no engineer , project manager and a whole bunch of others " would have been able to figure on …. Also, over time, the cost of materials do change from when a project was first considered and a price put on it...labor costs too...plus inflation has to figure into the over runs...Just saying. Your criticism seems to me , just more ....which u are known for. Just saying.

From the article and the scientist them selves. Not one storm or heat wave can be directly attributed to Climate Change!
or, Scientist say Climate Change likely played a role in the severe Polar Vortex
Wait a minute,,, I thought all that carbon cause every thing to get too hot!!! not colder,,
Hmmmmm, appears to be a huge flaw, in this line of thinking!

Sooo your suggesting the latest weather phenomenon's...the melting of the glaciers...the same with the Artic, Antarctic ice caps, the hurricanes, lack of rain, to much rain, rising sea levels, none of that helped along with mans use of carbon fuels..just the luck of the draw...so it makes sense not to belong to world wide committees trying to find if there is something man can do to help influence , for the positive, the weather. In your mind the gut feeling of our current leader over rides the feelings of thousands of others...mostly highly educated professionals on th topic of the weather... Ok, gotcha...thanks for your input...{sigh...sheesh..what can one say.. }

Actually for some, we are at the tipping point now... Even if their claims are not at 100% provable right now...do u feel we should just completely ignore them, their claims of doom? You do have kids and if not grand kids yet...just a matter of time....Do u feel no responsibility to leave a better planet for them and theirs or just because u will be gone by the time the s**t hits the fan...none of these possibilities are your problem, thus your 100% support of our Donald and his yes men and woman? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- "The Earth is heading toward a "global tipping point" if the climate crisis continues on its current path, scientists have warned, as they called for urgent action to avoid "an existential threat to civilization." The group of researchers, who published a commentary in the journal Nature, say there is growing evidence to suggest that irreversible changes to the Earth's environmental systems are already taking place, and that we are now in a "state of planetary emergency." Arctic melt: Threat beneath the ice A global tipping point is a threshold when the planet's systems go beyond the point of no return -- such as the loss of the Amazon rainforest, accelerated melting of ice sheets, and thawing of permafrost ……" ---------------------------------------------------- www.cnn.com/2019/11/28/health/climate-crisis-global-tipping-point-intl-hnk/index.html

It's also ironic that Mörner accuses others of falsifying data, since he has previously doctored photographs in his own presentations (i.e. see multiple photos of the Maldives 'marker tree' spliced together here and here). Nils-Axel Mörner's claims regarding sea level rise are the very definition of denial, involving nothing more than conspiracy theories and unsubstantiated accusations of data falsification wich are easily proven untrue. The mainstream media needs to realize that Mörner is simply not a credible source of information about sea level rise or climate science in general. One individual's unsupported conspiracy theories do not trump empirical observational data. skepticalscience.com/Nils-Axel-Morner-wrong-about-sea-level-rise.html

Nelson's "find" is a man some of us found years ago and have seen as a source of wild entertainment ever since. He's called Nils-Axel Mörner, and among his claims to fame are that he possesses paranormal abilities to find water and metal using a dowsing rod, and that he has discovered "the Hong Kong of the [ancient] Greeks" in Sweden. The celebrated debunker of cobblers James Randi challenged Mörner to demonstrate his expertise with a dowsing rod, but he "consistently refused to be tested". He did however, allow his paranormal abilities to be examined on Swedish television, using a test that Mörner himself devised: dowsing for a packet of sugar concealed under one of 10 cups. Needless to say, he failed, blaming, as such people so often do, "interference" and "influences" In recent years, before being discovered by Mr Nelson, Mörner had largely been reduced to self-publishing pamphlets on the web and penning overblown diatribes in loony-tunes publications which bear as much relationship to scientific literature as the Spectator does. One of these – titled There Is No Alarming Sea Level Rise! – was published in an online publication called 21st Century Science and Technology. It might sound impressive, but this magazine is in fact a vehicle for the views of Lyndon Larouche. www.theguardian.com/environment/georgemonbiot/2011/dec/02/spectator-sea-level-claims

Does this mean that it is three time worse than last year,, when it was a bunch of times worse than the the year before that?? How many time more worse than 2012 when all the Arctic Ice melted!!! just wondering!!

This study is about the oceans losing oxygen, how terrible that is, well, if we are losing oxygen out of the oceans, that would mean that it was out racing the carbon that is going into the atmosphere!!

Bloomberg wants to end fuel subsidy, Yea Wonder what will happen to the price of gas if we do that!!
Hey Bloomberg take your money pay off the the third World countries, They only want money,,
The only reason we have climate change is to suck money out of the rich countries give it to the poor countries, The one handling the exchange get their cut,, Money for nothing!!!

Well maybe some Countries are waking up to the fact that the Carbon Exchange is nothing but a money scheme to get money from the rich Countries give it to the poor Countries, in which as usual will not got to curbing so called carbon whatever,,,, only to go into the pockets of a few!! The money handlers are getting restless worried that their scheme of distributing the money while they get their nice commission for handling the money,, is fading,,
That's the reason that we now hear,
OH NOOOO the temperature is rising much faster than we thought before with than absolutely positively sure prediction of how much the temperature rise and ice melting was going to be!!!! BEFORE!!
Just because 100,000 climate scientists would be out of a job, if we found out that Global Warming was a natural occurring thing!! I know that all the ice didn't disappear from the Arctic like it was supposed to,, Surely all the ice has disappeared up there in Northern Winter Land U.S.A now with Global Warming.. Here is a prediction for you, The longer we go without throwing money at Carbon Credits,, the greater the Prediction even faster, rise in Carbon and the Ice melting,,,, even if the oceans don't rise at all!

I am posting this here to show the correlation of cost estimating for an up coming project (near future, tangible product) and experts guessing weather conditions, (intangible product) 100 years out . All these "Experts" went to the same schools!!
