Poor John Delaney. He just does not have a chance. I wish he was a Republican.
Tim Ryan seemed reasonable too. He is dead on arrival too.

I didn't watch the debate, but have heard her talk three or four times. She seems to be pretty looney. I don't think she is viable - unless she has made dramatic improvement in the last few weeks (which is possible).

I wish everyone could have watched her interview with Anderson Cooper after the debate last night. I think Anderson was somewhat amused with her, and was not sure how to do the interview as if she was a political person. Do not get me wrong, it seemed he was confused on how to handle her. His questioning was not in his usual voice tone. I think he liked her presentation style. I understand she will not get the nomination nor be asked to be the VP ticket choice. I do not agree with her on most of her positions, but she is a person I can listen to and not go ballistic, and start yelling at the television at her, as well as consider her a reasonable voice. Does that make sense?

Didn't care for Williamson at all...yes she may sound reasonable...but get past the words & find out what she is really all about....not for me.
Amy had a sicky sweet smile on her face the whole time...almost felt like she wasn't taking the whole thing serious.
Bernie seemed out of sorts or just too old to be up there.
Warren made sense & had plans worked out for most things...not sure how viable her plans are, but hey...at least she has been working on them.
Mayor Pete was his usual calm, cool, collected self & also had answers. He is the most reasonable person in politics I've seen in maybe forever.
Pretty sure Beto is done. The rest of them....never stood a chance in the first place...they need to go home.
ETA....I wish they had paired Harris with Bernie instead of sticking her in Biden's face again. I'd like see different matchups.

First debate he said immigrants should not be charged with a crime crossing the border. Now he is back tracking somewhat.

Tonight's debate is hard for me to watch. Not sure if there is a perceived winner tonight, but we are only one hour in. Biden is almost attacked as much as Trump is being attacked. The healthcare portion was hard to listen to tonight....... Booker might be showing strength??

I don't think either Booker or Harris can beat DT. I don't like Harris at all...she just feels way wrong to me & my intuition about people has always come true sooner or later. In fact, this whole group can go...the only one who has impressed me at all is Castro.
ETA...I finally shut it off, couldn't stand to listen to any more of them attacking Joe. Egads folks, act like you are adults and discuss rather than accuse...listen for a changes instead of running off at the mouth.

It did seem they spent a lot of time attacking Obama's record, along with Biden.
I guess they're all eager to strike down the top dog so they get a chance.
Time for a bunch of these guys to drop out, so we can settle on one candidate to rally behind. At this point, who that is doesn't really matter to me, they've got my vote.

I turned it off at about 9:25 pm central. Could not go any longer. My wife was, maybe still is, a life long democrat. We had a rocky political time during Bush II's time in office After Trump was elected and the Democrats cried collusion, treason (Mueller report made her say give it up) and now racist, she said she has to move on from the democratic runners. We watched the entire first two nights of debates, and the first night this week. She gave up last night before I did. She said they have now thrown Obama under the Republican bus and she will not accept this. Ever. She is done with all of them but Biden. She said she could vote for Biden but wants to see what looney he puts on the ticket. It could be a deal breaker for her due to his age. Well done Democrats, well done.

As long as he does not go Sparticus on Trump, he can hold his own with him. Warren is good too, but her presentation makes Hillary look like a Quaker who looks good to anyone.

As long as he does not go Sparticus on Trump, he can hold his own with him. Warren is good too, but her presentation makes Hillary look like a Quaker who looks good to anyone. Warren is the one who has the most well thought out policies covering all the areas that are important to the average voter, and with her work in the consumer protection area, trying to prevent pay day lenders and mortgage companies from preying on the desperate/uninformed customers, she's truly someone who has long advocated for the middle/lower class.
Her problem, I think, is the same that most powerful women have - if they talk strong and forcefully, they come across to certain people as 'shrill.' As someone who was told, several decades ago when I worked in a male dominated industry, that I needed to be 'nicer' to the men in our staff meetings (code for 'shut up, smile politely, and don't argue with someone with a penis') I know what 'shrill' means.
Hillary had the same problem. Probably, anyone without a penis has that problem, from time to time. However, I think most of the voters who wouldn't want to elect a 'shrill' woman would be Trump voters anyway, so it may not matter.

I don't think she owes it to her male audience to appear more feminine.
it seemed to work OK for Thatcher, I think it can work for Warren.
but it is one of may reasons I don't think she will win. remember: abolitionists and suffragettes' were contemporaries, but it took FIFTY YEARS for the latter to get what they wanted, and it only took slaves about (10). it might take another 40 to get a woman president, but hopefully not that long.
that having been said, I have voted for a woman in the last two elections, and I think MOST Americans are ready for it.

I think Warren's voice is annoying. I've known other people who speak with that soft-but-harsh breathy tone, and I have limited tolerance listening to them, too. I like that she has actual policies and plans. I'm not too worried about her being so far to the left because anyone will have to water down their plans to get them implemented. I don't think any candidate has the cult of personality like Trump, so the party can stay balanced.

Informal poll from Smartbrief.
Which part of the federal government do you trust the least? President Donald Trump and Congressional Democrats are at the bottom of the trustworthiness heap, according to readers responding to this week's Business & Politics Poll. An aggregate of the latest national polls by Real Clear Politics shows President Trump with a 43.9% job approval rating, while the rating for Congress averages out to 17.6%. New poll Monday.
The president 47.47% Democrats in Congress 39.62% Executive branch departments and agencies 5.23% Republicans in Congress 4.40% None of the above/other 2.61% Federal courts 0.67%

if anything, he should be LESS happy now than he has been in the past, because his lead is hovering near the LOW for his campaign. he has never lead by less than 11%, and he is leading by 13%, but at one time he lead by more than 25%.
even after the "racial attacks", he has not lost his lead, but it is less secure than it once was, and Warren is slowly gaining on him. at one point, he lead Warren by a staggering 33%. Warren has cut that lead by 2/3.
I am not sure I would describe that lead as "comfortable". particularly with 5 months to go before the 1st primary.

Only 4.4% of the people put Angel of Death Mitch in a worse spot than Trump.

WaPo is reporting that Jay Inslee is dropping out of the Presidential race. There's a paywall so I can't get to the article.
