In multiple towns here yesterday Republican presidential primary ballots turned in with blank/ other were 15+% of their vote. I thought that was an interesting factoid.

At this point I'd love to see a Biden-Sanders, or Sanders-Biden ticket. I know they are not ideologically aligned, but both draw different voters and it would show a united party that is open to change. That would be 156 years old combined on Election Day 😲

We have two towns, he barely won one, Bernie barely won the other, and the demographics are similar- you know the area. Given that, I am surprised the more populous areas like Portland did not break hard for Bernie, but no. Usually here the late returns are from small rural areas, and favor a more conservative candidate. We shall see! ETA- Biden declared the winner in Maine.

I agree. I think he dropped out in a timely fashion to stay viable for future opportunities. Buttigieg, Klobuchar and Beto all showing up to throw their weight behind Biden looked like an organized effort by the non- Bernie candidates to make sure the don’t fuck around like the GOP did and allow a reality show huckster to walk over the dead bodies to the presidency. Only this time it’s a democratic socialist who might be the unlikely candidate for one of the major parties. We will have to see if it works. Certainly Bloomberg is behaving like a monkey wrench. I think Bloomberg played the money card among other things. As of today, he's stopped spending. He allegedly spent $500 million of his own money AND he's a registered Republican. I'm not a multu-billionaire, so I think it was well played. Trump and the GOP have been put on notice. Its only March. The Dems may have a brokered convention and the GOP may offshore Trump b4 their convention. Who knows?

I think not voting can be a way of saying something and/or admitting you don't know but want to count as a voter. Only in recent years have I chosen not to vote for certain positions, write myself in, or other things. I think its being 50+ yrs old and being me.

Doesn't it bother you about the contant gaffs that Biden does?? Last week he was running for the Senate!! Now he has to hide behind a woman's skirt!!
A man who is surrounded by strong women willing to jump into action does not bother me. And yes, his verbal gaffes is a concern to me. Trump things bother me also, Seems he has to shoot from the hip, with out thinking.

Very close, I think like 1,600 votes? They will split delegates almost down the middle, except Warren will get a few, she got just over 15% But Maine is small potatoes. Sanders won California, right? What was the margin there?

This is a tough time in the campaign for a lot of Dems- supporters of good campaigns and good people that are not going on. Warren is spectacular, and unfortunately is also going home, so to speak.

I would like to know if any polls were conducted in Massachusetts after the primary was over why voters voted for who they did. Warren should have won Massachusetts, her home state, but she didn't. Why was Warren unattractive to Massachusetts voters?

She was a problematic candidate- especially immediately following Hilary's loss against the same guy we face again. Warren is kinda annoying, she is heavy on policy, but a little robotic. She is female. She has made some gaffes. She has said some radical stuff, which scares business, but not in a way that translates to people (like Bernie's message). She is Hilary light, unfortunately. And that seems like a real gamble in 2020.

Trump is saying he's going to constantly go after Biden about his son and Ukraine. That's going to be his main talking point. Which is interesting coming from a guy whose son Eric is organizing a tour of Trump European golf properties, where members of Trump's New Jersey golf club can pay Trump Inc $7000 bucks to travel and golf with Eric. Of course, our tax payers will be footing the bill for the secret service protection - tens of thousands of dollars worth, some of it going right into the Trump Inc coffers as the secret service agents have to pay full price to rent a hotel room at the Trump property. Sounds pretty corrupt and grifty, to me. www.motherjones.com/politics/2020/03/taxpayers-are-likely-on-the-hook-for-eric-trumps-trip-to-his-dads-european-resorts/Or are we going to talk about how dad helps jr avoid getting caught doing something illegaL? Trump knows all about that, too. Kept Ivanka and Don Jr from criminal prosecution for fraud in New York by donating a nice chunk of change to the DA, Vance. www.newyorker.com/news/news-desk/how-ivanka-trump-and-donald-trump-jr-avoided-a-criminal-indictmentWhine all you want about Biden Jr getting paid a bunch of money to be a consultant because he daddy was someone important - doesn't approach the level of criminality the Trump family has shown. So if Trump really wants to make Biden Jr the centerpiece of his re-election campaign, I think he should go for it. He can dig all he wants into it - and the Dems can tally up all the shit Trump's kids have been up to. Like Ivanka overcharging the Trump inauguration committee in order to funnel more money into the family business. Those are just some of the more well known events. Imagine what the Dems will find when they really start digging.
