The next 2 years are going to be a shit show. No matter what side you are on, or your preferred outcome, this country is going to be a mess for a while. And the 2020 campaigns will be a friggin' nightmare! I predict more ugliness than we have seen since the "civil" war. I hope there is no cane beating on the Senate floor.

Worst possible outcome for Trump, someone doing a deep dive in his taxes. I wonder if this is just his taxes or his business taxes too?

Myself, I could care less about his tax returns. On the other hand, it would probably show just about everything everyone wants to scream about, where even the billionaires who are strong liberal democrats do the exact same thing. I say anyone with a ten million dollar income should have to release their personal IRS returns as well as their private corporations they own annually so we can demand Congress to fix the taxation issues for every citizen.

his personal return will show way more.
but I am sure it is both.

I disagree. If he has loans from foreign entitles, the deductions for payments would probably be listed.

I saw a headline on Politico.com that said the White House is preparing for every request type they can imagine, so they can deny them. I think the planned defense is supposed to be "The Democrats will leak them"
I admit, I'm nosy. I'd like to have someone who understands complicated tax returns take a look at his taxes and give me the short version. But I'm not sure I care too much about going after them. If there's a legal reason, go for it. If it's to satisfy nosiness like mine; I'm pretty sure it's not worth it.

Don Jr stated several years ago they get all the money they need from Russia.
During the election, Don Sr claimed he had no financial ties at all with Russia.
If the Trump organization did owe a lot of money to Russian banks, that could be at minimum a case for Trump lying about his Russian ties, and at worst, it could show he might be bought and paid for by Russia.
There was a highly fishy Trump condo/casino/mall development on a backwater, obscure fishing village on the Caspian Sea in Georgia - someplace that seems highly unlikely to attract the upscale international wealthy travelers that Trump properties usually cater to. The project never got past some surveyor's stakes in the ground, but a very large sum of money from Russian oligarchs passed through it. Might be Trump stuck his name on the project to help facilitate money laundering. If that kind of thing was happening, hopefully it could be traced in his tax documents.
A long read, but very interesting: www.newyorker.com/magazine/2017/08/21/trumps-business-of-corruption

The Honorable President Donald J Trump said back in 2016 that he would happily release his taxes once the IRS audit is completed. So I am sure that he will now honor his word (like he always does ) and release those taxes. Right? He also promised to stop tweeting and be more 'presidential' once he got elected.
I think it's safe to assume we shouldn't trust anything he ever says.
Apparently, he only feels he's obligated to tell the whole truth when he's under oath, in a court of law, the rest of the time, the truth is just a set of alternative facts.

Last I heard, Sessions was contemplating another Senate run against Jones. Haven't heard that he has decided either way.

Would you be kind enough to name one or two democrats who the American banks will not lend to anymore? Or even Deutsche Bank? Because Trump is such a high risk and will default on payments. Thanks.

Thanks. not to pick nits, but the TRUE DEFENSE of that statement would be to come up with TWO OR MORE "liberal democratic billionaires" who have had such trouble.
I doubt he could construct such a list. I doubt anyone could.

What the F does my post have to do with your response? Evidently you are still pissed you are losing your government controlled rental and will have to pay a reasonable amount to live somewhere like everone else.

What....no MAGA! in the opening post? Tennesseer, I promised to be less confrontational at the first of the year. I am just happy so many people who are no longer jobless! Here it is January 24th, and I am sort of still good on my pledge, imho

Last I heard, Sessions was contemplating another Senate run against Jones. Haven't heard that he has decided either way. Probably waiting to see how the wind blows on Trump.
A couple years from now, it's either going to be a good thing or a disastrous thing to have been associated with Trump.

I'm not IN a government controlled rental. I don't even qualify for a government controlled rental. After 40 years of nursing, I have a nice pension. Are you hallucinating?
