This just in! Senate says they cannot find any smoking gun, dagger or collusion by Trump with Russia. Mueller should be making a similar announcement very soon. Well, actually, this does not fully vindicate Trump.
Although I know Trump would love everyone to believe that it does.
Mrs Bundy still thinks ted is innocent 😇.

Once again, she lost. I didn't expect it, I was shocked, but I'm over it. Can we please stop talking about her? I don't understand why it's even relevant anymore. It's been over 2 years. I still have doubts. I don't expect too much to come of that tho.

I'm not sure why those kinds of statements from the liberal side bother you, while you ignore the same kind of statements from the far right posters. I don't ignore them. I've questioned, criticized, and called BS on Paul on dozens of issues, including every one you've listed at one time or another. An observation on the American Democrat vs. Republican mindset (although this isn't a uniquely American phenomenon): when I voice a mixture of opinions, most agreeable but some starkly disagreeable, I've found that politically-minded people have a strong tendency to ignore (miss, forget, gloss over, misunderstand, lie about--I don't know the exact mechanism) the agreeable parts. Almost as if the mind needs to force each speaker into a box, and reflexively discards the agreeable parts to make them "fit". For example, I've been accused a dozen times of being a "Trump supporter" and just as often of "never criticizing Trump". Yet if you take a look at my post record, both claims are demonstrably false. Not just borderline false, they're patently untrue. Even so, periodic criticism doesn't fit in the "Trump supporter" box, and so--ffft!--down the memory hole it goes. Another example, and a prediction: I'll bet you a hundred snow leopard pelts that if/when the Mueller inquiry finds evidence of collusion, or even evidence of lesser crimes, if I turn up to a discussion, I'll be accused of "damage control" because "Virgil said Trump was innocent", "Virgil bet on the wrong horse", "Virgil said the inquiry was a waste of time", "Virgil claimed there was no chance of anyone being found guilty", etc. All totally untrue, but my actual opinions don't fit into the "Trump supporter" box, and so--ffft!--down the memory hole they go. Your claim that I "ignore the same kind of statements from the far right posters" is a third example. I can't say whether you missed them, forgot them, misattributed them... but I can tell you with confidence your claim simply isn't true. Not even borderline. I'm not in that box. Having said this, I've personally been guilty of 'boxing' people many times. Often because I misattribute an opinion or mistake who said something, but sometimes just because I've unfairly reduced a complex opinion to a primitive archetype. It's why I do my best to quote people when criticizing "their" opinions. None of us are perfect. The best we can do is be mindful of the problem and strive to avoid the pitfalls of a partisan mindset.

Fixed. ...and a completely different issue. It's heartening to see you give such weight to what I consider (non-)newsworthy. A mere word of criticism from my keyboard evokes terms like "control", "suppression", "silencing". I feel like Sartre. You've grown all too accustomed to your echo chamber, my friends. I went over my posts in this thread again to be sure I hadn't overlooked something, and the conclusion is sound: what you're decrying as "suppression" and "silencing" is nothing more than a mundane, run-of-the mill appeal to reason. "What are you accomplishing here vs. what do you think you're accomplishing here," "have you considered...", thanks for your consideration, take it or leave it. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go confer with the giant Trump statue in my basement on how to spin collusion charges into gold. a speed freak chain smoker who lives with a nutbag? Who are you talking about?

Surprise, the republican controlled senate who says "how high?" when Trump says jump found no collusion. How about we let the neutral prosecutor who also happens to be a republican with a reputation for integrity make that decision? And virgil, don't worry, I won't off myself, fall to my knees wailing, or gnash my teeth if Mueller fails to find anything. I'll just take solace in the convictions he has obtained and continue on with my life. And me and Dj will still be gloating! This is a british persons description of trump, can't help but agree. Someone on Quora asked "Why do some British people not like Donald Trump?" Nate White, an articulate and witty writer from England wrote this magnificent response. A few things spring to mind. Trump lacks certain qualities which the British traditionally esteem. For instance, he has no class, no charm, no coolness, no credibility, no compassion, no wit, no warmth, no wisdom, no subtlety, no sensitivity, no self-awareness, no humility, no honour and no grace - all qualities, funnily enough, with which his predecessor Mr. Obama was generously blessed. Satire from The Borowitz Report El Chapo Says He Is Victim of Phony Witch HuntBy Andy Borowitz NEW YORK (The Borowitz Report)—In his first interview since being found guilty on all counts in his U.S. trial, the Mexican drug lord Joaquín (El Chapo) Guzmán called himself the victim of a “phony witch hunt.” The former cartel leader made his blistering comments in a phone call to the television program “Fox & Friends,” whose hosts appeared surprised that he had somehow gained access to a phone and was able to get through to them. “It was a phony witch hunt,” El Chapo said, of his trial. “It was a phony, rigged witch hunt, and the charges against me were fake news and a disgrace.” Questioned whether he had worked in concert with other drug lords to bring narcotics into the United States, El Chapo said, “There was no collusion. And there was no evidence of collusion, because there was no collusion.” Complete article here: El Chapo Says He Is Victim of Phony Witch Hunt

I imagine he thought based on your newer perspective of Bush junior on another thread, you had changed your stance on him no. I think every president, including Obama, should be held to account for their failures. the fact that Bush's are greater is neither here nor there. you could combine both of their failures and they would not even come close to the current president.

I put it on my facebook, I think this is priceless and sums him up totally, a nothing person, destroying our world, yet I saw 37% of the people are still supporting him. How could they? I found it in an article, hope I'm not spreading something I should not, but it had already been published.

I showed it to my GF. She asked me to email it to her, where she promptly sent it out to at least several people. This is just obscene. The piece is vulgar wall-to-wall muckraking. Worse than the worst of Paul's screeds against Pres. Obama--the ones you repeatedly condemned as petty and vindictive. But now you're glorying in the same thing? After eight years of condemning it, claiming the moral high ground, you're glorying in the same thing? You're gleefully smearing it across the Internet like a child painting the walls with his own feces? And so is your girlfriend, bless her soul?
What is wrong with you? Is getting your laffs in and openly hating your enemies so important that you think nothing of playing the hypocrite? "Yeah, Virgil, I guess I was just full of crap and self-righteousness when I tore into Paul for his anti-Obama screeds for eight years. Sorry you had to find out this way."
The Internet isn't full enough of partisan, muckraking hypocrites for you?
You think Pres. Trump is an unfit leader, unworthy of praise? Join the club. You think smearing crap on the walls is funny and enlightening? I won't stop you. I rarely tried to stop Paul or anyone else. It's an exercise in futility.
But you have the audacity to do it after condemning it for eight years? Unbelievable. Not even the worst partisan hacks on our board stooped that low. That honour goes to you alone. Congratulations. I wouldn't treat my worst enemy the way you sick people treat your elected leaders, and you, tallguy, of all people... I expected better. And I don't give a crap about your excuses and rationalizations. You keep right on smearing crap and imagining yourself to be better than the trolls on Breitbart, CTH, every other site you derided, all doing the exact same thing. But for what little it's worth: I expected better. Sir.

My disagreements with Paul are well-publicized, since you brought him up. The substance of those disagreements are mostly the pure, unadulterated bull**** that he posts whether it is his own or from the many disreputable sites he frequents, his continual lack of any intellectual integrity, his continually mischaracterizing the positions and beliefs of his opponents, and his COMPLETE hypocrisy in so many areas. But yeah, you think whatever you want. And by the way, this particular piece, unlike pretty much any of Paul's, is true. That is WHY it is going or has gone viral. Donald Trump is EASILY the worst person ever elected and one of the worst persons ever encountered. He is a vile and disgusting creature, and is an embarrassment to this country. That may not bother you, but would you not be up in arms if he were yours? I don't expect this post (or yours, frankly) to remain here long, but since you did post it deserved a response. I will be out for the afternoon shortly so will not be here to respond again. Good day.

It's the grifting that really gripes my ass.
I understand a lot of politicians like to put their hand in the till, but usually, you expect your POTUS to be a dedicated public servant working for the issues that are most important to the largest number of Americans, not someone out only for themselves.
