When do you take yours down?
On New Years? Jan6 or 9th ? Spring? July 04? Halloween? Never- so you don't have to put them up the following year.

I got tired of looking at mine so I took most of it down already. Usually I take 'em down on the first.

I only put lights on my bar this year. They're blue and LED, so I'm thinking of just leaving them up all year.

They come down on New Year's Day. Not much else to do that day, so it seems like a good plan. We have a real tree, and the yard waste recyclers come by on Tuesdays, so it's perfect (the county turns them into mulch for the parks).

The tree will come down probably tomorrow or Friday. We were too busy before Christmas to really enjoy it, now we have some down time. The outdoor lights will come down when the monsoon rains stop. Hopefully this weekend.

I usually leave everything up til the 1st, but the four-legged monsters were already knocking things off the tree, so I had to finish the job last night. I only left the wreath on the door, and a few knicknacks on tables and shelves.

Ours is down. We get it all down before the New Year. We go out of town for several days over the New Year and nothing would depress me more than coming home to Christmas decorations.... We do leave the wreath on the front door for a while, however.

I didn't put up a tree this year, I bought a Poinsettia instead!. I'll put my Nativity away after New Years and toss the Poinsettia soon! My wreath will stay on the door for a while - it's more 'seasonal' than 'Christmassy'
I'm always puzzled by the folks who toss their trees to the curb on Dec 26th. Did they not get what they wanted for Christmas?

I usually take mine down on New Years too. Last year I was so fed up with the cats pulling everything off the tree I had it down on the 27th. This year they haven't touched anything on the tree. Just took turns taking naps on the tree skirt.

I was early putting mine up this year (first week of November) and early taking them down (Sunday the 26th).

I'm always puzzled by the folks who toss their trees to the curb on Dec 26th. Did they not get what they wanted for Christmas? I always assume these people just couldn't wait for the Christmas season to begin so they bought a real tree a bit early and it was therefore dried out by 12/25. For me the decorations are coming down today. I'm back to work tomorrow and anxious to begin the new year and leave Christmas 2010 behind.

I wouldn't be able to do that - I'd be tired of looking at everything before the day even arrived. The outdoor lights are usually on display the 1st wk of Dec though. Things get decorated indoors around the 10th to 15th, and then are only up til the 1st at the very latest.

Outside stuff probably next week (depending on weather). Inside about a week later.

Inside stuff will come down this weekend. So sick of pine needles EVERYWHERE. I might leave outside stuff up until February. I like the lights/garland and last year my neighbor left his annoying plastic light up snow man up until April.

No tree for us, and our indoor decorations are just a few. They will probably go in a week or so. I usually take down all the outdoor lights the first weekend after New Years, or in this case, this weekend. That is if the snow has melted enough for me to be fooling around on a ladder.

Usually sometime in January. When I've put a live wreath on the door sometimes it lasts until Feb. 1st.

DH is taking down the outside decorations as I type. He started late this afternoon and is still fooling around with them. It's only a few wreaths and garland, but he is very slow at projects. I will probably do the interior stuff tomorrow. So, for us, by Jan. 1st would be the answer to your poll.

Why not add a poll at the top, so we can vote our own particulars? Your questions can be the poll.

12th night -- that would be January 6. Sometimes sooner, but when I was growing up in Europe it was bad luck to leave them later than that.

We don't put Christmas decorations UP, so we never have to take Christmas decorations DOWN.
