I roasted a broccoli crown, tossed in a few grape tomatoes toward the end for color. tossed that with bowtie pasta, some grilled chicken from the weekend, parm cheese and a little pasta water. it was exactly what the doctor ordered lately. costs, ?? I have a backlog of pasta from sales, haven't bought any in who knows how long. broc/tomatoes came NYE with a guest who was going elsewhere after leaving my house and they wouldn't have travelled well. they survived 2w, so win for me? and chicken was under $5 for the package, not really sure of the breakdown for how I prepped it. and parm is $6/container. this had a healthy shake.

I had some left over Shrimp Alfredo and I'm making some wings. I'm counting it as $7 for supper, technically the Alfredo was lunch.

Probably $8 for the steak, they were marked down. Maybe less then $1 for the potato, maybe $1 for the rice and sushi, and $3 for the chicken.
So looks like $13.

I went to dinner tonight with a couple ladies from work that I've been chatting with as I check out. they both promise to keep me updated as my exit interview contents trickle out. I didn't interact much with either, and really only started talking to one of them the week i accepted the offer for the new place. I'm coming to find that some of the people I tried like hell to not get attached to, are actually pretty cool. I'll be meeting up with them after I leave, for sure. so, cost to me tonight was $0 even though I tried to pitch in. I know that they left $120 for the three of us. we hit a local Italian place I love, which apparently has early bird specials. as long as you order before 5:30, you get a dinner salad, (smaller portion) entree and dessert for $18. for the group, we had a beer and a bottle of dry red, 3 salads, 2 chicken piccatas and an eggplant parmigiana, and a lot of cannolis. I ordered mine to go, roommate has a treat waiting for him tomorrow. I don't have a sweet tooth.

I ended up buying 2 portobello mushrooms for our burger patties last night. $2.99. This was my first time working with them, and I will say, I am hooked! They are the only mushrooms DH cares for, and they will for certain be a repeat, both as buns and other uses.

I forgot I'd taken a picture for my FB fans last night, LOL. Total cost $9.07 for 4 ground beef patties, cheese, Birdseye "fries" and portobellos.

I pieced up a piece of local cod at the fish market when I went home to let the pups out. I'll bake that with chili seasonings and have that with the rest of the black beans and rice from the other night.
fish was $4.50

I had the last of the clam chowder tonight, a couple of pickles and some cheese. One way and another I was the only one home so I cleared out some leftover. About $4 for everything.

DH had two grilled ham and cheese sandwiches and tomato soup.
I had some chicken nuggets and baby carrots. I had soup and salad for lunch. DH used all of the ham that was left.
I'll say maybe $6.

I found filets reduced at Sams the other day. Had one for hubs last night with baked potato.
Tonight I made fajitas out of the rest, oh my gosh it was soooo good we ate it all. Filet thin sliced with fajita marinade, sautéed onions and bell peppers. Then chopped tomatoes, lettuce, cheese, sour cream, salsa, refried beans on tortillas. It was really really good. I just got the kitchen cleaned up after my little head issue.
At Sam's, they had a container with 3 small pies, apple, cherry, and blueberry. I think hubs at the blueberry one. DD and I have said no so far.

DH is having salmon, noodles and green beans. I just don't like salmon no matter how it's fixed.
I will have leftover chicken and mashed potatoes from the other night along with the green beans.
I will say approximately $10.

Rats. I forgot to get the stew meat out of the freezer for beef barley soup tonight. Maybe salmon patties then. I can make the soup for lunch tomorrow... I’ll flip the coin and do the math when I get home tonight.

We used up a package of mark down filets from Sam's Club a little bit ago. They were very good but I'm not paying full price. DH grilled them all. We ate 2 one night with sweet potatoes and salad. Another night I sauteed bell peppers, onions and mushrooms. Then I sliced the leftover steak finely. I tossed it in the skillet with the other stuff to warm up.
I put it on hamburger buns, topped with a slice of provolone and put in the toaster oven to melt. I would use different rolls next time but we had the buns and I wanted to use them.
It got lots of compliments from DH.

DH finally made the meatballs tonight. At least $10 but he made 36 meatballs. We had spaghetti tonight. I'll grab some rolls and we can have meatball subs. And I'll probably give some to his sisters.
I would freeze them but we used the hamburger from the cow my family bought so it's been frozen once already.

Tonight was Roast Beef and veggies. ISO had potatoes and gravy as well. For just the 2 of us it was 17.50 for the roast, we ate about half so $8.75, $1 for frozen veggies and I'll throw in another $1 for 2 potatoes and a bit of flour. $10.75 for the 2 of us. But is was a roast beef dinner! Tomorrow I will make philly steak out of some of the left over beef and have salad to go with it. ISO will have a hot roast beef sandwich, maybe some salad.

Tonight we are having lemon garlic roasted chicken breast, mashed potatoes, and roasted asparagus drizzled in olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic. The chicken breast was $5.22. The recipe is from budget bytes, and they calculated that the chicken recipe cost $6.40 total and will fee 4 people. The potatoes were left over in my pantry from a 5 lb bag, and I can't remember how much that cost. The asparagus I paid $3.68 for the pound.

Filet of sole with rice and sauteed mushrooms. DS won't eat that, so tomato soup and a grilled cheese sandwich for him.

New England clam chowder. Used up the last of the clams from the pantry, plus potatoes and onions that were on their last legs. Probably $3 for the clams, I usually only buy them on sale. Maybe $1 for the milk. Should be 4 servings, but we’ll see. DH looks hungry. And everyone gets an Orange. Bought a half case each of grapefruit and oranges. Soooo good. The oranges were 50 cents each, the grapefruit a little less than $1 each.

I did good made DD sushi, then made hubs and I a chef salad was good. Then got the urge for CAKE, so baked a yellow cake iced with buttercream icing.
Spending way to much time inside and home, I'm cooking and cooking. Most of it is pretty healthy but every once in awhile we fall off the wagon.

I had my philly stead and DH had a hot beef sandwich. We ended up getting 6 servings from that roast so tonight was $6 for the RB, and about $2 for an onion, half a pepper, 2 slices of cheese and 2 slices of bread.

Cheddar sausage dogs topped with sauteed bell peppers and onions, sweet potato tots and salad. I'm going to say $6.50 and we'll have leftovers.
