I had my days all mixed up due to the holiday.
Monday was a family cookout on DH's side. $2.95 for a bag of ice.
Tuesday night I made the pineapple teriyaki chicken. Served over rice with steamed broccoli. Maybe $8-9? There's probably two lunches left for me.
Wednesday night I made chicken sausages, roasted asparagus and corn on the cob. Corn came free from family. The whole bag of asparagus was $2.69. I previously roasted 2 portions for myself. I can't remember what the sausages cost. They've been in the fridge for a bit. Maybe $3 for what we ate.
Thursday night Mexican something.

last night, I made a batch of loaded risotto. I've got some for lunch today, and there's one more portion left over for whenever. $1 box of frozen spinach $1 half a pkg of cremini mushrooms $1 half a carton of chicken broth ~$1? assorted other ingredients - arborio, parmesan cheese, onion, garlic this afternoon, we have our weekly office social from 3-5. there's always food, so I will likely just grab something here before meeting up with friends for a show after work. we'll call "dinner" whatever wine I have at City Winery during the show.

I picked up 3 strip steaks, hubs got my grill fixed, had to get a new regulator, we lost a tank of gas, sigh.
Maybe those with zucchini sliced and fried with added beef bouillion, and topped with shredded cheese to melt, pretty good stuff. Likely tomorrow night.
I had lunch at McAlisters as did DD, I didn't want any dinner. I had a piece of apple pie and a granola bar.
I have a head of cauliflower but think I will use it Saturday and make cheese sauce, use the ground beef for something with it perhaps.. I also have some ground sirloin I bought and a pork roast to make barbecue one day.

That looks yummy! Let us know how you like it. I like it! I didn't follow the recipe and winged it as far as amounts of ingredients. I still think it's good. Thing 1 likes it too and she doesn't like squash.

Grilled burgers, corn on the cob and something green. Maybe salad.
I still need to buy the corn and salad stuff.
Saturday night we have a party. I'm making some appetizers to contribute. No clue what I'm making yet.
Sunday I don't know.

dinner tonight is repurposing leftovers from last night. I have some tagliatelle with mushrooms, black truffle oil, and parmesan cheese in the fridge. I'm going to roast some mushrooms and eggplant, and throw that in the saute pan where I will refresh the leftovers with garlic and olive oil, a little cream, and more cheese.
well, unless I doze off on the couch. so over this week....

We had home canned spaghetti sauce with macaroni, had to go to the basement for spaghetti and already had my shoes off so used mac. Added ground sirloin, should have added mushrooms. It was good.
Last night was strip steaks on the grill, zucchini with cheese, and some mac salad. If I wasn't tired I would whip up a batch of cookies. I have a taste for some.
Need to get a shower after sanding and scrapping on those windows.

I picked up a beautiful piece of cod on my way back from walking the canal with the dogs. I will bake that later, crusted in some sort of seasoning, and pair with a Caesar salad.
costs: $7 cod $.75 romaine heart ? shredded parmesan, dressing, croutons/tortilla strips
ETA: cod Caesar will have to wait til tomorrow. I ended up reheating some linguine marinara from Friday, and will be in bed soon now that I have seen that 6th banner raised. 🤘 I will more than likely doze off on my couch, in my Patriots jersey.

Pasta with sausage and mustard cream. I got a craving.
I also just made an avocado dip and cut up a bunch of vegetables for lunch tomorrow for both me and my daughter. If I can pull it together to make chia seed pudding for breakfast I will be way ahead of the game!

It was a hodge podge.
DD had the leftover mac and spaghetti sauce with mushrooms. Hubs had a packaged rice and beans mix I fixed with sausage.
I had a package of chicken rice stuff and some sliced chicken, I didn't eat much, it wasn't that good. I will buy neither of those mixes again, not very good in my book.
Then hubs found a cheese cake in the freezer, I wanted canned pears, guess I don't have any. I need to buy a case of them. I love pears packed in their own juice for snacks at night. Not fattening and good. Cheese cake, bad!
I'm down another 1 1/2 pounds below my 185 threshold where my foot generally stops hurting, I'm at 183.5 and its still killing me, usually its like magic, just stops. That tells me its breaking down more. I'm going to go soak in Epsom salts again, makes me itch, and see if it helps and try to keep losing weight. I'm drinking lots of water, I know that helps the weight loss, just need to keep it up. Without the steroids I'm not starving all the time, I had gotten up to 189 and that is not sustainable for me. But I was trying so hard not to eat and was eating everything in sight, sigh. I really have to work at it and going to have to work harder.

It is still still hot to care....so last night was some fresh fruit, 1 carton of Activia yogurt, 1 hard boiled egg and 1 Baby Bell cheese. Tonight isn't looking much different.

Sunday we had party leftovers. They packed up what was left Saturday night for us to keep. Free to us.
Tonight is black bean chicken enchiladas. $8 estimated.
Tuesday night is dinner at the stadium. DH's dad will pay since we bought tickets.
Wednesday night peanut chicken zucchini noodles. I'll say under $10. I can't remember how much the zucchini was and I don't think I got an itemized receipt from the market. It was $1.29/lb which I was thrilled to see.
Thursday night leftover enchiladas.
Friday night through Monday I'm out of town.
I've got several meals on the planning list and a couple things pinned on my recipes board.

Tonight: There are 4 thick pork chops in the Crock Pot: Honey Garlic Pork Chops. I'll serve them atop sauteed spinach with garden eggplant on the side. $7 for 4+ servings. Tues: Fish, shrimp, veggie. $10 Wed: Rotisserie chicken as it's grocery night. $7 Thurs: Deli grub $10 for 2
Fri: Beef and sausage burgers, veggie. $6 for at least 4 servings
Sat: Steak $?
Sun: IDK yet $? Have a wonderful week, everyone!

tonight I roasted half of a HUGE broccoli crown and diced up some of the rotisserie turkey from the weekend, and will be tossing that into two boxes of spiral Kraft dinner once the pasta is done boiling. I can grab a little bowl tonight bc I'm not that hungry after a late lunch, and it will be there to pick from for a couple more days.

I thought I was making a tuna melt, but the sourdough had some mold spots on it. tomorrow is trash pickup, so that went in the bin with a few other things. dinner ended up as a can of soup. the golden and I split the end of the open bag of goldfish crackers. I'll do up something more elaborate tomorrow, I'm heading to bed as soon as I get out of the shower. aiming for the first train, and leaving on the 1225pm. still wonky on pup care for the time being.

last night, I ended up stopping for dinner on my way home from the dentist - a normally 75min drive as the office is back in my old town. I realized I was a little shaky and that was likely b/c I hadn't eaten since a chicken salad sandwich around 9am. oops.
after confirming with the roommate that the pups were set and I didn't have to rush home to feed them, I realized I had time! I ended up stopping at a Bertucci's about halfway home, craving their sourdough rolls. I enjoyed three of those, with dipping oil, a chicken Caesar salad, and a glass of chianti. including tip, $30.

Last night I was on my own, so I had leftover herbed chicken with mashed potatoes and green beans. I'm on my own all weekend, so dinner will likely be leftover spaghetti. Who knows what the rest of the weekend will entail. Nothing fancy. Probably either take out or something from the freezer.

Last night was take out pizza. DH paid. Probably $20ish.
We didn't have enough leftover enchiladas for two. I was too drained from work to figure something else out.
Tonight takeout something or going out.

Tonight macaroni during football. I started sparkpeople again to lose the 3lbs I gained. That means I can only eat 2 cups cooked. Sounds more like a snack.
