Okay, I think I got last week right. Losing my phone and wallet through so messed things up, and spread out the replacement spending. But, sometimes we do stupid things and pay a stupid tax. So there we are. Yesterday we managed a no spend. I am hoping for one tomorrow. But today I fly over for a Pop Tart volleyball game and then fly back early tomorrow. Thursday, our friend flies in from Sweden, thus beginning the crazy vacation time.

shanendoah Enjoy your time with Pop Tart. Chai is my weakness also. I drank a lot of chai on the driving trip to Indiana and back.

Okay, I'n in for September. I have to be, I've been spending like a drunk sailor on shore leave. Sept 1 I was travelling back from NB. Other than gas I spent $15 on a car charger and chord for my cell phone and $10 on snacks. Sept 2, 3 & 4 I have spent nothing.
Sept total so far $25

Today was a spend. On Tuesday, I noticed my well worn sneakers were giving me a blister, so today I ordered a new pair. But since a BOGO sale was going on, I also ordered a pair of hiking boots that were a bit more expensive, so I am paying for those and getting the sneakers free.

Keeping on track. Being back to the volunteer class helps in that it keeps me busy not just on those day but on the others as well as I attempt to stay busy with things around the house and out of the stores. 90% of my expenses are need based at this time.
Handyman will be finishing up his work sometime within the next week or two so will have that expense in the near future but definitely a need. Several short visits at this time before finishing.
Stay the course all!

The overnight stay for volleyball was definitely not a need, but all of my other spending in September has been need based.
I did fill the car with gas on the way home because it was 12 cents per gallon cheaper there than here.
I'm doing great with Amazon.

So I spent $20 on some black pants at Costco yesterday and I'm about to spend $60 getting my nails done. That will bring my total non essential spending to $105 so far this month.

Today was a spend day but not from my household budget. I went bead shopping and picked up supplies that will be turned into items for the craft shows. Any money I earn from the shows is put aside to use for this purpose. Made a dent in my craft reserves but glad that I had one. Now I hope that I can complete most of the items in the next few weeks before the crunch really begins.

Amazon is going to go broke. It's September 10 and I haven't spent a dime there this month.

We're going with best guess for two weeks ago. I commented on the day that was a spend, so counting that. But otherwise I think things went according to plan. Last week was a vacation week. I did not buy anything big or ridiculous, so all spending will be considered planned spending. This week we should be getting back on plan.

I've been doing really well this month. Everything I have spent has been budgeted for and I'm still way under my budget for the month. Of course, that can change in a heart beat, but so far so good.

Just a quick update. Had to fill up the car this week and a trip to Wally World to get some basics. Think another trip to the grocery is in store for this coming week or next week at the latest. Supplies in the freezer are getting pretty limited. With the tropics as active as they are I try not to put too many things in there at this time.

My game is to fill my gas tank on the 1st and 15th of the month. Most times I succeed. Silly, I know

I filled up earlier this week, even though I didn't need even half a tank. I did it because the price was $2.489. It's $2,649 at that station this morning, so I'm glad I did.
Some months (especially in the winter), I only use one tank of gas a month.

2 trips to McDonald's $25 and 2 Sweaters $41 so $297 this month of non essential spending. Considering it's been more like $1000/month for a while now this is a huge improvement.

Hey y’all! I’ve decided to do some no spend time until my house gets sold because I need to focus on packing and moving not buying. Exceptions include bills (unfortunately), gas for the car, $50/week for groceries and dog food + shots.
If I do need more moving supplies those will come out of my moving budget. Wish me luck!

Last week went fairly well. I ended up taking BFF & BFFIL out for dinner on Wed for BFFIL's birthday, and then on Saturday decided to get a mani/pedi, so a couple spends there, but otherwise stuck to plan. Sunday I managed to organize the day so that I just lay on the couch and watched football with a dog in my lap the whole day. It was wonderful. Yesterday was our department retreat, right before the school year starts. I went to Starbucks in the morning, but used my "stars", so the drink was free, no spend there. With any luck, I'll get two more no spend days in.

Welcome back, startsmart! Good to see you.
nikiz628 - I have been feeling like that in regards to savings lately. We purchased a few of the last big things for the house, and our annual car insurance premium is coming due, so I've got a big pull from savings planned. Even though the money was earmarked for these expenses, it just feels like we're spending too much when I can't cash flow things.
