I hauled more stuff to Goodwill. I did get rid of two pairs of high heels, but kept the two black dressy ones. I took my dining room chairs because I bought replacements. After Christmas presents are exchanged I may do another round of donating, depends on what I get. I'm considering donating my Dyson that I got more than a decade ago. It works, but I have a dyson and shark cordless plus three robot vacs (one on each floor). I don't actually know if the corded dyson has more suction than my cordless one so maybe I will look that up and let it go if that is the case.

Last night I returned a pair of pants that didn't fit my body type to WALMART. I was happy to do it before xmas because the line was rather long and the wait was over 20 minutes. I would hate to guess what they will be like after the holiday.
Right after Thanksgiving I ended up buying 2 pairs of waterproof shoes. 1 Sneaker 1 hiking boot -- today the boots are in the car and being returned before the 30 day return runs out. I haven't worn them yet but I have the sneakers so I will be fine for right now.
Just a few more things gone.

Well done with the donations Ladies! I was thrilled to go get my papers yesterday and find that they never made it onto the inter-campus bus. I had to go back again today for them. This week (updated)- 31 Job 2 finals I'm not sure I'll start these before the kids leave on Sat morning. It's fun but exhausting running after a 2.5YO LOL.

snapdragon , my friend who works at a big box store said this morning their return line has been out to the second door. Speaking with her, she already sounds exhausted. Great job on doing that errand before Christmas! Speaking of the holidays, I'm wrapping things up this week. This morning I mailed the last of our Christmas cards, got my RX and a few other items for this Sunday. I also filled up the truck. I'll meet with a friend tomorrow night for our annual dinner out and present exchange, going to bake this Sat., have family over for dinner and presents Sunday, and deliver baked goods to the post office staff, fellow office building tenants and neighbors Monday. Our neighbors with the twins will come over Christmas Eve for snacks and gifts and stockings for the boys.
Have a wonderful holiday week if I don't check back in, everyone! Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah!

I had to pick up a few things at Wal-Mart and went today because I thought about what the store would look like the weekend before Christmas and just thought nope! Thankfully it was a short line to checkout and I made it home quickly enough. With that and my grocery shopping done I should be fine to stay home the rest of the month. If I can get the last rows of the quilt done and measure it out then I'll go pick up the batting and backing pieces I need but otherwise I am staying HOME and trying to relax the next week. Friday morning is a bit insane with 3 calls in 2 hours but once I get through that I'm home free

debthaven I enjoyed my great niece at 2 1/2, as long as I could give her back to her parents if she got too crazy for me. I'm so happy you are enjoying your grandson.

I started marking since we were babysitting tonight and DGS was asleep. I did 2 of the 4 parts tonight. The other two parts involve writing so that will take longer. DGS barfed in bed tonight, poor thing. He hit everything except his two soft toys (thank Gd!) So I'm on my second unexpected load of laundry tonight. It amused me to see that my reflexes are still good. We had him showered and back in clean pjs and a clean bed in minutes.
DGS is lactose intolerant. Methinks we have been making too many vegan chocolate cakes ...

debthaven -- So glad that you have finished all of the marking. Now you can enjoy the holidays with your family without having to deal with them. Ran errands this morning and currently working on the laundry. The house is ready for Christmas, still have to wrap/bag the gifts and bake cookies to give to family and friends. I have finally finished the crochet project that I had put away for months and have started reorganizing the bead room. Also adding items to the donation bags/boxes and they will be picked up this coming week. Numbers will be updated at that time. Hoping to break 1000 items out of the house this year. Tutoring in finished for 2019. Current projects are just two small repairs to do for friends. They won't take a lot of time just have to sit down and get them done. Dryer just buzzed. Will check in later!

I am still waiting on the floor tiles but I may go in and get the painting done now so I can focus on the bathroom floor this weekend.
Quilt is nearly done for the top and there’s a big post Christmas sale on so I’ll wait until then to pick up the batting and backing fabric.

We had a lovely pre-Christmas evening with all the kids. We take DS1/DDIL/DGS to the station early tomorrow to visit DDIL's family. They stay for 10 days, then DDIL goes back to the US to see her best friend while DS1/DGS come back for 4-5 more days. Between their visit and all the marking, I have a lot to catch up on. I also really need a rest/break.
All my Christmas shopping is done except for DS3 (who wants us to go shopping on Monday) and one more gift for DH.
This weekend- wash DS1's bedding/Sat - bottle bank/Sat - bank (DH)
- Quickbooks - Shitepile

I look around my house and there is so much to do. It will happen when I get home from dad's funeral.
After today, any thoughts I had of showing up for Christmas at my sister's house are gone. Not putting myself through that.

TheOtherMe - you’ve just lost your dad and your sister’s actions and inactions these past few months have been unnecessary and painful to handle. Give yourself ALL the grace and time you need to heal and rest. I’m going to be a hermit for Christmas so go join the smartsmart holiday plan just buy some of your favorite foods, a new movie or puzzle, cuddle a puppy and put on your most comfortable pajamas. No drama allowed.

Not enough rest. I'm at the hotel now, listening to my basketball game.
It won't be long until I get in a more comfortable position and I may fall asleep.
Meeting with the funeral home was hard for me. I think I have arranged what I need for me. The photos that were on the flash drive I took are on the website.

The floor tiles I ordered finally arrived (12 days to ship a package is crazy) and now I can move forward with the bathroom. I need the caulk some of the seams first and let that dry and then paint and the floor. Excited to make progress and the tiles are gorgeous!

Pissypants gets to feed himself because I am getting seriously sick of his attitude when I ask him if there is something special he would like. "I don't care" isn't an answer!!!!!!!!!! and then when I suggest something, No, I don't want that. Then suck wind and bite me. I'm tired of it. So, I have a really large stack of books to read and that's what I plan on doing. I MAY go to my BIL/SIL to see the triplets and give them their gifts or take them over tomorrow. Haven't decided. I should get DH out to go see his mother but forget that. I don't feel like dealing with him.

I don't thing I have EVER been this prepared for Christmas by 12/22. And I cannot explain why? Didn't start to shop until Thanksgiving weekend. I am wrapped and ready, only need to do some baking this afternoon and another load of laundry. Got all food shopping done yesterday. DH and I are both working on Monday, so I knew all needed to be done before that day. We travel to DD2's on morning of Christmas Eve.

I had a break this morning so I went to use a coupon to get my moms bday gift (it’s the day after Christmas) and picked up a few books to read myself on the break. As I continue to work on the garage I pulled out all the canned food and reorganized the kitchen cabinets which had been empty 2 months ago. Found a few bottles of wine for this week too Next up I really need to caulk the master bath and let that dry before painting. Laundry is in progress with comforter and sheets in the washer and dryer. I need to continue packing outdoor stuff but the yard is already looking better.

I have been getting things done.*Presents are wrapped. *House is in the best shape it can be for the holidays. *Remembered to put the few items I purchased this spring on the tree. These were items I got in Barcelona -- one ornament and a few key rings. I often find souvenir key rings that I use on my tree. Unlike some people my tree is a mixture of items I have added over the years. Many handmade by me or family members while most of the others are things that I collected on vacations or just a few items that I like. *One repair made. Need to place an order to be able to get the other repair done as I could not reuse a few of the beads. Will place order later this week. (Need to see if I need anything else before I place it.) Goals for the next few days:*Plan is for the cookies to be baked tomorrow. *Make bracelet for friend. (She ordered it and I almost forgot about it. She said not a rush but I want to get it done before the end of the year.) *Donation pickup -- Tuesday. Will update numbers once the items are out of the house. *Maintain the house. Double check those problem "drop"areas. i.e. the flat surfaces *Backup computer to portable hard drive and most used documents to the cloud. *Set up spreadsheet for 2020 *Getting together with family and friends.

Remember to do some fun things for yourself. startsmart -- Wishing you good vibes as you prep to put the house back on the market. debthaven -- Enjoy your break and the time with the family. All of you have been making great progress in getting things done and donated.

It rained all day so I didn’t have a chance to do much outside. Thankfully when I got home today I raked the leaves out of the gutter since the storm drain is right in front of my yard and gets flooded rather easily.
I’ve caulked and painted one section of bathroom paneling - the other sections are small and I can do tomorrow.
I’ve taken up 3 old tiles and put down 2 new ones, I think my goal will be 5 per day until the whole pieces are done (it’s a small bathroom) since it takes a lot of time to chip out the old tiles.
Mostly today I’ve been in the garage and packing things up. I think my parents will be up next weekend and there’s a handful of things they loaned me that I’m sending back, plus they would like the metal shelves from my garage. If I send the rest of the packed boxes to their house then I’ll feel great about listing next month.
Tonight I should also be close to done on the quilt - at least on one side. Slowly getting that to the finish line.

- take DS3 shopping/Mon
- get DH's last gift/Mon

- Shitepile ETA: The traffic was unbelievable so we never made it to the second store DS3 wanted to go to, but he got there later on his own (he stayed in town). I got a turkey on the way home. DH was planning to go tomorrow which was making me nervous.
