Dancin, I think I'll have the same situation with Snoopy. So far he's eaten any samples of dog food I've received with no issues. So I don't think taking him off Iams will upset him much. In fact, when he gets something new, one would think he was given choice steak. Even just another plain old dry food is a delicacy to him when it's different. My only issue now is I have a couple of Iam's rebates to send in, but my plastic tubs are full so I haven't opened the bags yet. I need to develop a patch or something I can put on the bag so I can cut out the UPC. I don't want to have to buy $15 plastic containers to get a $10 rebate. Is Snoopy a beagle by any chance? Most beagles are chow hounds who will eat anything. When you switch to a new food from the Iams, just make sure to mix the two for a while before making the switchover to avoid

Even if your pups don't get sick switching up foods still make the changes gradually so it's easier on their stomachs.

That's what I was thinking. Too bad you can't see my avatar. It's the beagle. Super cute (no, mama isn't biased .

Do you remember Uno that won Best of Show a couple of years ago at the Westminster Dog Show? That is EXACTLY what Buddy the Beagle looked like when he was a pup. Try to avoid feeding your beagle human food. He will be bugging you any time you are preparing/eating food. HTH

You can wave a steak in front of him and he won't beg. He sits patiently in the corner while we eat watching from the corner of his eye in case you want to share. But he never begs. Only exception is apples. He will cry like a baby if you're eating an apple until you share. I have no idea what his deal with apples is. I am in process of adopting another beagle though and know counter surfing (Snoopy doesn't do that either) and begging are traits.

DH still sneaks him food and I keep scolding him (DH that is). We got really lucky with Buddy. He was the last one left of his litter because the owner was giving serious thought to keeping him and breeding him. Then, she had a change of heart because she just didn't want to deal with raising another puppy. Once she made the decision, she sold him at the bargain price of $400; we got him "on sale". ha ha ha He had never been separated from his mommy and cried all the way home (over 40 miles). I remember laying on the kitchen floor with him (he was in his kennel) while he cried himself to sleep. I had to do that for a couple of nights until he decided that he didn't mind me being his new mommy.

I had to spend every night the first week laying upright on the couch with Snoopy on my chest to sleep. If I put him down, he howled like only beagles can all night. Next one is a 7 yr old rescue.

The Betty Crocker cornbread mix is going to be on sale at WAGs for $.29/pkg. with in-ad coupon. I used this as a filler at Rite Aid a few weeks ago and we REALLY like it (I add 2T. of sugar to the mix). Anyway, I do not have any RRs and was trying to think of a way that I could get it cheaper than $.29/package. I called Betty Crocker for coupons, but according to what they told me, they will not come in time. I will try to get a rain check though so that I can use those coupons after the sale. Then I started scanning the 4/10 ad and I don't know WHY I didn't see this before (probably because it's not FREE after coupon AND giving a RR ). The Carefree liners (which I use all the time) will be $.99 and giving a $.99RR. Here's what I plan to do: $.99 (1) Carefree .09 Sales Tax 1.08 Subtotal - .50 (1) $.50/1 Carefree (3/27 RP) .58 OOP Rinse and repeat making my OOP $1.16 for (2) $.99 RRs. Then: 2.03 (7) Betty Crocker cornbread mix @ $.29/ea. (my store will let me exceed the limit on the in-ad Q) - 1.98 (2) $.99RRs (Carefree) .05 OOP Total OOP for RRs and product will be $1.21 for (7) packages or $.17 each as opposed to paying $.29 ea. which I think is still a great price for this product. I may do a rinse and repeat to stockpile (14) packages. I USUALLY make my cornbread from scratch, but tried this mix and we really liked it. It also makes just enough for the two of us to have cornbread with two meals. NOTE: The Betty Crocker mixes are good waaaaay past the date on the package. I found a hidden package of BC oatmeal cookie mix in my pantry. It was dated 9/07. I was going to just throw it out, but I decided that making it would be a good experiment. If it failed, all it was going to cost me was 1/2 C. Imperial (bought at $.99/lb) and an egg. If it was good, I would know that the shelf life of these mixes is a lot longer than stated on the package. So I whipped up the mix and tasted it. It tasted great. Then I added some raisins before baking. I did not tell my guys that the mix had an '07 expiration. They wolfed down those cookies like you wouldn't believe!! Ooooh! Nice catch on the free & MM Carefree. Now I just have to hope that my test-market-Wags actually gives us that RR! This week I had to skip Wags as no freebies.

Has anybody done the Wags Accu-chek MIR? I remember a similar sale to this week going on back in Jan when I joined, so has anyone who did it in Jan received their check yet? Can I do more than 1 per address? Does it matter if I leave the "diagnosis with diabetes" question blank? What about the Omega Fish Oil MIR? Anybody received their check yet? Has anbody come across the Nexcare bandages with the TMF peelies. I can't seem to find those at any of the Wags. leanna : Do you still need that Cottenelle 0.75/1 Q from me? Thanks! Picghaw - you have PM

Yippee. I just got my PF $10.95 rebate check, and also my $26.99 SCR from RA for March. I finished shopping a week before the end of the month and applied right away as you guys were saying how long it takes to arrive. It took about a week. So $38 extra now. My first free money checks, i like this. Where can i get the Purex MQ;s for $1 that you all talk about? Also no one has been talking about the Simalac $5 in this weeks SS? Its big news as its $1.16 overage on each MQ at WM. Also Giant PA has coupon Doublers in the paper this week. Makes $1mq =$2! I should be all over this but haven't got there yet. I also have a bunch!!

I'm not sure how many of you buy gift cards at the grocery store but I wanted to share my story with you. I bought a $100 Target gift card at my local Ralphs about a week ago. I went to use it on Saturday and it wasn't valid. Upon closer inspection, I could see that someone had carefully taped a barcode over the activation barcode (the Target gift card has 2 barcodes--one for activation, and one that Target uses to deduct from it) so basically, I paid to activate someone else's barcode so they could score $100 worth of free stuff at Target. Target is going to replace it but I just wanted to warn people about this so it doesn't happen to you. Thankfully I'd bought this card for myself. Can you imagine how embarrassing it would be to buy it for someone else and have this happen? So the moral of the story is, when you buy a gift card, carefully inspect the barcodes to make sure they weren't tampered with. The fake barcode was on shiny paper and everything. Since they have the large piece of cardboard attached, it wasn't even noticeable to the cashier.

leanna- I don't have Albertson's proper, but have their sister store Acme. I don't shop there often because the prices are often much higher, but I do shop there some (shopped there all the time growing up). Shoot and I will see if I can answer your question. I don't have a question - I just wanted to share a deal if anyone else shop's at Albertson's. They have doublers good until Tues. I used one of 'em to get razors free plus overage (although that's YMMV at Albertson's.) Yes, they are more expensive so I generally just go there when they have doublers and get stuff for free. They're so nice about it too, which I like!

"The whole coupon beeping thing is crazy. Earlier this week, I went to my smaller RA, and I tried to buy the Physicians Formula "try me free" mascara using my $5 pdf. The coupon beeped and the casher tried it twice. Then she handed it back to me and said "It says item not found." I was tired so I didn't ask for a supervisor or anything. I just asked her to take the mascara off. " I also had the PF Q beep at RA. It's expired, date on the one I had was 06/26/2010! No bronzer for me. skubikky - Do you need the new coupon? If so, I will post it. It doesn't expire until June 2011.

The peelies are everywhere here...if you want me to send you some, just PM me. Let me know if there are other q's you are looking for as well. Thanks herekittykitty ! Let me get back to you on this as I can't even find the product either...... have to buy the product in order to even submit the rebate, yes ? Did you find them in the First Aid section or perhaps its in some other aisle or maybe only certain areas carry it? Every WAGS is different...one had it right by the other bandages, and another had it in a different part of the store. Look for a special blue-green display case with all three of the different types in it...don't forget to look at the very tops of the shelves and display cases.

bluesclues: No, do not send it in without a TRY ME FREE sticker. Perhaps you can find them on one of the products at Rite Aid (if you have one). Darn. My stores all had a lot of stock and NONE of them had TMF stickers. I didn't think one was necessary, just UPC. No Rite Aid in Arizona. One person offered me one. If anyone else runs across one in their travels, I could use a second.Blues: I have one I could send you...PM me your address if you want it and let me know if there is anything else you are looking for.

Also, for any dog lovers, Petsmart has the Chef Michael's Creations 11 lb. bag for $15.99, and there was a $10 off q (again, last week, I think), making it about $6 for 11 lbs of dog food. I am a newbie, but this scenario is about $.55 per pound of dog food, granted premium dog food. I recently got 48 pounds of Dog Chow at Walmart for what amounted to $.46 per pound, without any Q's. What do you all consider to be a good deal on dog food? I saw some people getting close to free a while back on the Iams, I think? I just don't want to get sucked into using Q's because they sound like a deal, but when I work it out per pound, it is costing more to use the Q. Snoopy has only ever eaten Iams. And I haven't had much luck getting it cheap. A few months ago I got the small bags for a good deal. Usually though only a dollar off a large bag. Anyway, I have recently gotten the Science Diet (free) and Pedigree (25¢ a pound) and stocked up. He hasn't eaten it yet. If it goes well, great. If not, I'll donate to a shelter. So unless he hates it (doubtful) I think 25¢ a pound will be my stockup price. What if you mixed it 3 parts "Snoopy favorite" with 1 part Science diet? It really honks me off when I get a good quality brand free or cheap and my children won't eat it!

They were the ones that actually sold you the product so it would be interesting to see what they say about it. So someone took the activation barcode off of one of the cards and stuck it on a different card (the one that you happened to select to buy) and then put that card (yours) back on the end cap or kiosk? Actually, Target ought to be able to trace the user of the card you activated and nab that person.

I immediately went to the Ralphs store where I bought it and they told me I had to talk to their customer service (on the phone--closed Saturday night). I called their customer service on Sunday and they said that I should call Target because they'd heard that Target will replace the card (which they apparently will). I think the store should be able to fix the problem myself because now I have to wait 2 weeks to get the card replaced which isn't a huge deal to me but could be for someone else. I figure someone just stole some Target Gift cards (not activated), used their printer to make a barcode that matched the stolen activation barcode, they printed out the barcodes, go back to the store and tape them on the unpurchased card, and they can just check the Target gift card web site every day to see when someone buys the ones with the fake barcode which activates THEIR stolen gift card, then they go to Target and use them before anyone realizes there is a problem.
If it had been like a day since I'd bought it, they might not have used it yet but since it was over a week I suspect they already got away with using it.

"Hound" from Northern California:
Who sent me the WAGS coupons from the baby book and the AXE BOGOF coupons??? They are fantastic, and I really appreciate them. Please let me know if you need anything. suzi: That could be murphath or p8nt. We used to have another Nor CA hound too - can't remember who the other one is. Thanks! I think it was p8nt. Thank you, P8nt. I received the coupons on Saturday.

I went to Rite Aid after work today. I had to wait until today, because no more special trips for me. The cost of gas and my time is just too high.
I bought: 2 Tena $9.99 each = $19.98 2 itty bitty Super Poligrip toothpastes .75 oz each $1.99 each = $3.98 1 Neilmed Nasadock $6.00 4 Halls cough drops $1.50 each Total=$35.96
Minus $3.00 off of $15.00 (online survey) -$1.99 and - $1.99 for the TWO Polygrip toothpastes -$2.50 -$2.50 for the TWO packages of Tena Diapers. - 4 .75 each Halls.
Balance:$20.98
Now to pay with my UPS: $20.98 minus $15.00 (Night guard UP), - $2.00 UP, -$2.00 UP = a balance of $1.98 plus the tax.
I decided to use one more UPS for $2.00. Since it exceeded the value of what was owing, I bought a Mentos at 50 cents each. That brought the balance up to $2.48, which I cleared out with another $2.00 UPS. Now the balance is only 48 cents plus tax. I cleared this small amount with my Gift card. I hate the 8.75% to 9.75% tax in my area.
I received: a $6.00 UP for the Nasadock and 2 $1.00 ups for the Hall's.
I also will receive 2 SCRS for $9.99 each ($19.98 total) for the TENA and 2 SCR's for $1.99 each ($3.98) for the Poligrip toothpastes. The SCRs will be given later for the month of April in the form of a check.
YAY! I finally "get it," Dancinmama and Frugalsuz!
I loved buying the Scunchi's Friday, as they were paying out double in UPS.
I also received a survey request for a $3.00 off of $15.00 coupon. I received one from Friday's order and another from today's order.

But outside of that, our prices are very different.

I went to Rite Aid after work today.I had to wait until today, because no more special trips for me. The cost of gas and my time is just too high. I bought:2 Tena $9.99 each = $19.98 2 itty bitty Super Poligrip toothpastes .75 oz each $1.99 each = $3.98 1 Neilmed Nasadock $6.00 4 Halls cough drops $1.50 each Total=$35.96 Minus $3.00 off of $15.00 (online survey) -$1.99 and - $1.99 for the TWO Polygrip toothpastes -$2.50 -$2.50 for the TWO packages of Tena Diapers. - 4 .75 each Halls. Balance:$20.98 Now to pay with my UPS:$20.98 minus $15.00 (Night guard UP), - $2.00 UP, -$2.00 UP = a balance of $1.98 plus the tax. I received: a $6.00 UP for the Nasadock and 2 $1.00 ups for the Hall's.I also will receive 2 SCRS for $9.99 each ($19.98 total) for the TENA and 2 SCR's for $1.99 each ($3.98) for the Poligrip toothpastes. The SCRs will be given later for the month of April in the form of a check. YAY! I finally "get it," Dancinmama and Frugalsuz!I loved buying the Scunchi's Friday, as they were paying out double in UPS. I also received a survey request for a $3.00 off of $15.00 coupon. I received one from Friday's order and another from today's order. Great job Suzi. I too did the Tena and poligrip today. My RA had shorts and sweatshirts on sale for 75% off. They are taking inventory and so cleaning out everything. I was able to find 3 shorts for my son for 1.50 each. I was so happy since I remember buying them for 10$ each at Target last year They also had socks, but the cashier grabbed all that was left and put them behind the counter for herself. My store also had the 1$ and 2$ bins stuffed with a lot of small things that were also on clearance. I have at last used all my Ups except the 10 bonus ones from the Scunci and I am relieved, since they expire on 4/30 and I don't have to go to RA if they don't have great deals next week or the week after.

I was just looking ahead to next week at RA, since I am almost out of Ups too. I have 5 or 6, and no more 3/15 from survey's either. There should be a MM on Old Spice and Gilette body wash. I can't see the ad good enough to see if there is any limit, but they are 2.99 with a $2 Up. There is a BOGO MC for both in this week's P&G, so, it should be 1.01 MM for every 2 purchased.
