PUBBLER!!!! Getting the Frito-Lay for free on all 4 cards (my card, DH's DD's and DS's) was just too much fun. I paid $4.96 for 15 bags on each card, then received a $5.00 EB, just like you said! I was able to pay the $4.96 down with EB's, but exchanging the old EB's for a new, fresh EB is so nice. Such a deal Thank you!BTW, the Frito Lay display at my store had about 500 little bags in it, LOL. I wish I could buy more.

True Couponing Confessions...Gals, After my last 4+ months of intensive couponing, I just blew some money at the grocery store. All on good stuff of course. Attached is a photo of what I bought - $20 worth and only used 2 coupons - ahhhh! $1 off of produce and $1 off the peppermint patti's which were half price. But, doesn't that lovely produce look delicious? Off I go to cut up and eat my expensive salad. On the frugal side...I am making a turkey breast tonight for dh and I that we got for free (that was his big 'ol Christmas bonus.) And I have potatoes that we also got for free from one of my Father-in-laws clients, a potato farmer. Attachments:

Ladies, tonight is the night that my three co-workers and myself are staying at the Park Place Hotel so we can get up (or maybe never have slept) at 2:30 A.M. to attend the Royal Wedding at our movie theatre downtown. Our office is three doors down from the theatre and about two blocks from the hotel. The doors will open at 3:45. They are serving the Groom's cake and other goodies. Becky Thatcher Designs (locally owned with shops in Key West) is donating a Tiara and a string of pearls to be raffled off (tickets given to those that dress for the occasion). We made our own Fascinators and I will be wearing the gown that I wore to my son's wedding!!! I KNOW, CRAZY EH (but we always have a good time!) The theatre gave away all 550 tickets (I was #200 when I got mine) and there are about 100 people waiting for tickets. They have asked that if you have tickets and are not using them to please turn them in so they can reissue. I AM ABSOLUTELY AMAZED that there are so many crazy people like us!!!! In fact my boss paid for our hotel room (as a gift for Administrative Professional's Day)!!!! We are going to have a ball. I will let you know tomorrow how it all turns out. We will probably be a little late for work but that's okay. We will be slap happy by noon I am sure! Have fun. A good friend of mine is DVRing it and 16 of us are going over at 8am to watch it together. I stopped at the local thrift store today and got a hat for the occasion

My store had only the 99c version. I scanned them and they said 99c. But there were a number of things in the dollar section that were 12 for 10$ like the cereal cups and other things. Thanks Thanks

SaveinLA,
The Frito-Lay rack is a tall cart and is quite large. It has about 5 or 6 shelves on it and trays of these little bags of chips on each shelf. It is located in the front of the store, directly across from the cashiers.
It is fairly big, so not all of the smaller stores may have room for the cart.
This store is a large 24 hour store.

I went to WINCO today without any intention of using coupons. I bought frozen lemonade for 98 cents (Minute Maid) each 8 cans, 17 cents worth of broccoli crowns, a yellow squash for 22 cents, and a 10 pound bag of potatoes for $2.28. I think I spent $10.51 for all. It is just DH and me, so we hate to waste food. I buy food sparingly, enjoying each bite or drink. We are making baked chicken breast (tenders), baked potato, and a medley of fresh veggies.

The CVS e-gift card bonus is back! Love these! When you buy a $25 e-gift card, you get a $5 bonus. You can buy a $50 gift card and get $10, a $75 card and get $15, etc. The e-gift card is emailed to you, you print it out and use it in the store just like you would any other gift card. I can't seem to find an expiration date on this deal, but it says limited time only so hurry if you want to get in on this deal. Here's the site: cvs.coinstar.com/gift-card/buy/

You definitely have to be careful with 2 or 1, because it's easy for food to go to waste.

I thought it was kind of funny, but I am getting tired of hearing about extreme couponers everywhere I go. I am afraid things are going to be more difficult. Glad you got the deal!

So our school district is doing a drive for the St. Louis tornado victims. I went to Walmart tonight and started at just over $78 prior to coupons. After coupons, my total dropped to just over $22.00. I walked out of there with: 10 bottles of Similac 7 boxes of mac 'n cheese 4 toothbrushes 4 tubes of toothpaste 2 boxes of cereal 2 deodorants (are they bottles? jars? cans? containers?) 1 bottle of Fabulouso (LOVE this for cleaning!!) I had 5 / $5 Similac q's and 5 / $3 q's. My cashier rang EVERY ONE OF THEM in as a $5.00!! That's $10 in my favor!! I should be honest about it, but I can't prove it, since I don't have the q's anymore.... What do I do?? The cashier ended up having to call the CSM over (a gal I really don't like....she's REFUSED a few of my coupons) and the gal had to pick up EVERY SINGE COUPON and read it. Really? My cashier was great, which is something I don't normally say about my Walmart....The one CSM, though....yeah, she and I don't see eye-to-eye too often... The cashier was excited to see how much I saved and how much I'd be able to donate to our school district tomorrow. The CSM, on the other hand, called me "one of THOSE couponers". Yes I am and PROUD OF IT!!! IF she only met some of you all on here..... She's a piece of work!! Oh well. It's all over. I have what I needed and didn't spend an arm AND a leg... just an arm, up to the elbow:) I'm thinking we need to start a "support group", with "rita's and wine and hounded cheese and crackers and fruit. Leanna, your salad looks FANTASTIC!!! You can bring that to the party!! Hi. My name is Missourimommy and I use coupons. I just used $52.75 worth of coupons on items that are going to be donated. Just had a thought..... Can I count any of this as a tax-deductible contribution? I won't have a receipt per se. I have the receipt from Walmart that has the items on it with the "market value"... Ok. I'm done. I was just excited! :-D

Here Kitty, My friend told me the same thing. She said that she only got $1.00, and that was at about 12:00 Pacific time (California). I was buying my bags of chips at about 10:00 or 11:00 AM. Maybe they fixed the "glitch" that allowed you to buy 5 at once for each card.

Good for you, missourimommy! It feels great to be able to help others. I take photos of my donations and keep them along with the receipt from whatever charity I give them to, and use them as deductions. No problems so far (!).

Missourimommy, Don't mind those rude cashiers. They are just a tad jealous. I don't care what they think of me, as long as I can use my coupons and get my stuff for free or freap.

What was your impression of how they found out that there was a glitch leading them to put up the sign? Do you think it was a couponer? When I go into a store to do a hidden deal or take advantage of a glitch, I KNOW GOING IN that there is a chance that the deal may no longer be available or yield the results that I expected. If that is the case, I can always do a return (even though I try to avoid that like the plague).

I have been on vacation from work and away from the computer. I missed all of my hounding friends. Who wants to offer up a brief synopsis of the last 20+ pages? What deals do I need to jump on this week? Glad to be back! If I keep couponing I will be able to afford satellite internet at home. :-)

Thanks ladies for the Alabama support. It is truly a sad time in our state. As far as I know everyone in my circle is alive. My brother does have a friend missing , but devestation as far as property (which can all be replaced). Our ordeal started yesterday Apr 27th @ just before 6am CST, with sirens blaring for storms bearing straight line winds. A little after 6am a couple storms broke off and produced tornados. One hit the small, rural community where I grew up and brother and many relatives still reside. My hubby, son and myself left just after 7am (when it was safe to travel) and almost 2 hours later to make a 45 min trip, we were shocked to see how much devastation there was to such a small community. ' My brother's house is severely damaged but standing, not a tree left undamaged on probably 20 out of more than 60 acre's of property and barn and outbuildings basically gone. Other friends and neighbors not so lucky, homes and barns completely destroyed and land changed for hundreds of years by loss of trees. We stayed to help tarp roofs, cut trees off roads and houses, mend fences for livestock and horses and move hay and equipment from further damage. It was unimaginable, the devastation we saw. We felt like we were in a war zone all day. Little did we know that this was only a prelude to our horror story. By the time we arrived back at our home 45 mins away, another round of storms had passed through our state (one in city of Cullman) killing more people and destroying homes and businesses. Then within minutes the tornado hit Tuscaloosa, Pleasant Grove and moved north to Birmingham (Smithfield and Prattville) killing almost a hundred in its wake. A few hours later and more storms has passed through we have the "perfect storm" aftermath. The area we had gone to in the morning had received another tornado with more damage and destruction just a few miles down the road from its earlier path and continuing to do more damage to my family's homes and property. Still no deaths (confirmed) in this community but my brother's friend is missing in this area and maybe more unaccounted for. Sorry for the long post, but what you see on TV is nothing compared to the reality of the situation. I have co-workers and friends who are unable to find their friends and relatives in some of these areas stilll. As I write this (mini book) there are 210 confirmed dead in Alabama alone and over 350 in the south combined and numbers are climbing fast. I don't know of anyone I have spoken to or come in contact that has not been touched by this tragedy in some way. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers. We need all of them we can get. Thanks for letting me vent. I really needed it. I know see how people can suffer from PTSD from these types of situations.
