Ladies, RA has Revlon tools 40% off next week and you get 4 Up WYB 2. Wags has tear pad coupons for 2$ off any Revlon beauty tool. At my store, it was on a small display next to the beauty counter, but was almost hidden. HTH Anyone have prices for the cheapest tools? The nail clippers are a great thing to donate to shelters. If I remember correctly, the small nail clippers are 2.19 regular price.

Gas here is $4.04 - $4.08
Soon it's going to be too expensive to go to work! Cheaper to stay home.

I've heard that gas is predicted to go up to $6/gal over the summer. YIKES!! I have taken a break from drug store hounding (too much going on and too tired to get it all done!) but I may have to get back into the game now since the cost of everything is going up. Because I know that once gas does reach $6/gal, I won't be able to make special trips out. I guess we all knew this would happen someday, but I had hoped we would at least be more "recovered" than we currently are! Alot of people out there are still suffering with no jobs and no prospects.

i got an email today from Best Buy, and the subject line...."Out with the Old, Finance the New." shame on them encouraging people to get further in debt. although, i have to admit, i did have a good chuckle.

Gas is $3.99 here........$6 is just incredibly painful. We have 1 vacation planned and paid for, but we will have to become very creative to do things at home with the kids. There probably won't be day trips like we usually do in the summer.
Does anyone know good blogs for Harris Teeter or Food Lion? We are going on vacation and these are the 2 stores in the area. I will be packing as much stuff as possible (we are driving), but there will be some food we need while there. We will be eating in breakfast & lunches every day, will probably go out to dinner a couple times. Gotta watch the $ where we can.

She has coupon matchups and printable lists. Not sure about Food Lion. But do be careful - depending on where you are vacationing - stores in some tourist areas don't really "behave" similar to their counterparts in main cities and suburbs. We went to an HT a couple of years ago near the Outer Banks, NC during a week that all other stores were doing a coupon triples event. We still brought milk, bread, snacks for DD, etc but I thought it would be great to just bring my coupons and do the shopping there vs. hauling everything we needed to eat. I was so disappointed when I found out that not only were they not doing triples, they only doubled coupons with a face value of 50cents or less (HT usually doubles coupons 99 cents or less) AND prices were often times 50% HIGHER than what I would usually pay back home! I was not a happy camper that day! I was told all the grocery stores in the area were that way. What on earth do the locals do for groceries?

There ARE a lot of really beautiful places to go see around here, but could we just wait until gas prices go back down.

Thanks for the Tylenol precise tip, dancin. I'm moving next month, so I'm not necessarily looking to pick up too many things, but that's a pretty awesome MM. I think the move will be a PITA in general, but I'm looking forward to the opportunity to get rid of some things and get better organized.

I assume we'll have an alternate fuel source by then, if the auto makers and our gov't can ever get their stuff together. Otherwise, $140 a gallon?

The ONLY good thing about moving is you get a "clean" slate. After DH retires, we are going to go through everything (like we're moving) and purge. We have a huge mezzanine above the garage and DH tends to want to hold on to stuff that I don't think we'll ever use again.

I have an email for a new billboard that had me laughing out loud at work!! "Beer, now cheaper than gas. Drink, don't drive!" The words don't have the same effect as the actual billboard! Too bad coupons aren't available for alcohol!! Seriously, though . I use www.gasbuddy.com and plug in my zip code to find what station in my zip code has the lowest gas prices. This morning, when I left for work, it was $3.84. When I came home, it had dropped to $3.82. Go figure!

rubyslippers: Why do I have a tendency to think everyone on this board is younger than they are. Yes, I remember stations running out of gas. I've been meaning to check for birthdays on a regular basis and I keep forgetting. Well, I decided to check (rubyslippers made me think of it) and we have a birthday girl today!! alphayankee: HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you from me - dancinmama!! And I missed kathyattraverse on 4/20. HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you too, kathy. I also missed hatoo on 4/18. HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you, hatoo!! And misourrimommy on 4/25. HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you, misourrimommy!! HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ALL OUR APRIL HOUNDS!! ;D

Hound Alert- anyone have any of the Scott paper towel $2.50 wags catinas left? My wags never printed the $2.50 catina and I wouldn't mind some cheap papertowels (i have a raincheck).

Happy Birthday everyone!
I don't remember the gas wars really (I was born in 76) but I do know that when I started my first real job, I was pumping gas at a Full Serve for 99c/gallon. And we only charged a10c upcharge for Full Serve. Most places that still have full serve now charge anywhere from 15-30 cents.

In spite of the fact that I felt like total CRAP (headache), I went out cuz the WAGs truck came in today. I called and they told me that they had gotten the Splenda in. I had had the Asst. Manager order (9) for me last Saturday.
When I got to the store ten minutes later, there was only (1) box on the shelf. I had them check the back - none. My coupons would expire on Monday. I asked if they would ring them up and then write me a PAID FOR rain check. That's what they did. So I brought home (1) box of Splenda and (3) $4RRs. I will pick up (8) boxes next Wednesday when the truck comes in. I attached my receipts to the rain check.
Then to Nob Hill for Padrinos and Knudsen Sour Cream.
Then to CVS for the Blink and some Snows Clams on a rain check.
Then to Safeway for some free salad dressing (after coupon).
UGH, I'm pooped.
DH and I will be going to Home Depot on Friday. He has a $25 GC and I have a $10/$50 from Lowes that Home Depot will accept.

Ladies, Does anyone know if RA carries the Kellogs Frosted mini wheats - Touch of Fruit in the middle - flavor? I just received Qs from Vocalpoint for B1G1F and Kellogs cereals are BIGIF sale this week, making it free. TIA

Good morning, ladies! I had a great day yesterday, I shopped without coupons at the PX, but shopped the clearance racks and got 4 dresses for the girls for about $20, and a pair of peep toe pumps for myself (under $15). Came home, had to open a pack of diapers from the WAGS deal from a few weeks ago. I bought Little Movers. Open it up, looking for the 'code' on the inside and there is this big thing saying 'every pack is a winner!'. So I go to the website to put the code in and win a $20 gift card to Starbucks! Then find out that DH is getting promoted (finally) on 1 May. Party Time at my house! ;D Wanted to share something with you all, I don't know if any of you buy applesauce or not. We go through it like it's water. But Musselmans, if you go to their website, has a nifty little thing you can print out to get up to a $25 gift card when you buy a certain amount of their product. And of course, you can always print off coupons for it as well. Just wanted to give you guys a heads up for that. And thanks so much dancinmama for the tutorial on how to convert UPS to SCRs! Will have to give it a shot in June when I am around a RA again!

Just saw on Deal Seeking Mom that Kroger stores will have a triple coupons (with face value of 50 cents or less) event from today through May 1st. Call to see if your store is participating.
Edit - this is in central Ohio/West Virginia only! Sorry for any confusion - I should know better than to post before noon! So not a morning person.

Anyone doing artemis’s feed the needy thread. I have 3 days in (2 unregistered) and already have >1000 grains. I have limited my time each day to about 15 minutes so NOT a big time eater and a good way for those of us on REALLY tight budgets to donate. If a number of us join we could have a GC group.
Home GREAT news on all fronts. Congrats.
Pubbler Trouble w/the CVS Frito Lay deal in my area is NONE of my stores carry the lunch box size pkg that is $1/3. All stores carry the couple ounce pack that is now $1.29 EACH.
