538 is suggesting that GOP Senators can now use temperament as a reason to vote no...

This seems very plausible to me...
Opinion by Chris Hayes
"The possibility hangs over all of this, one I return to over and over, that Blasey Ford’s account is absolutely true and that Kavanaugh has absolutely no memory of it and thinks he has been falsely accused."

There are lots of discussions running around that the guy is an alcoholic.

But he never drank to the point of blacking out. Ever. So how do you make it all fit?

you subpoena all the people whose comments have been referenced, and go through the same questions under penalty of felony perjury.

But he never drank to the point of blacking out. Ever. So how do you make it all fit? If you drank to the point of blacking out, would you remember it? You make it all fit by calling people to testify under oath - one of the things the Republicans refuse to do.

I'm chatting with people on FB as well as on here. someone over there said "this is not the demeanor of a Supreme Court Justice" and she's absolutely right.
ETA: oh, and he just misspoke a detail incorrectly yet again - MD raised the drinking age to 21 in 1982, he was still 17 and wouldn't have been grandfathered in.

Personally, I consider falling asleep from drinking and passing out from drinking to be more or less the same thing. Different from blackout though.

Are you kidding me,, the way they posed the lie detector test ,a three y.o. could past even it, if they were still standing there with their in the cookie jar Did u listen to the one who administered the test..he was on one of the CNN shows last night...explained the whole thing...his credentials ,very high, 18 years experience, FBI and Defense Department plus more... how it , polygraph, is done...believe it was over three hours long for the Doctor. ...A neophyte isn't passing that ...possible one spy so trained and real good at it...and that was not the Doctor.. So again, it has to be said..."because u say it's so, does not make it so..." and u know it...here just to and u do a p poor job of that by the way. Just saying.

Now that the testimony circus is over let's get on with the vote confirm or no. Either way get it over with. I do like how Grassley commented about the FBI and investigation. They only present facts. She has no evidence and neither does he clearly he said she said.

Grassley is an asshole - and I’d say the same thing if he were a Dem Grassley is terrified of an FBI investigation

You're the one who said the trick to committing crimes is not getting caught, and you know how to pass a lie detector test if you're guilty. What the HELL kind of life did you lead?

I suspect I couldn't pass a lie detector test if I was innocent. I would be so nervous, and I tend to have wild adrenaline spikes when under pressure, which makes my reactions unpredictable.

not the Doctor..
Dr of what? Ford is a professor at Palo Alto University and teaches in a consortium with Stanford University, training graduate students. According to the Palo Alto Daily Post, she received her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and received higher degrees from Pepperdine University, USC and Stanford. She holds a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology: Research Design, and, according to the Palo Alto University website, has a teaching/research emphasis in statistics.
Ok? She also has two Master degrees.....not too shabby in my book.

But he never drank to the point of blacking out. Ever. So how do you make it all fit? Question him on his own statements. He claimed several years ago he hosted a party at Yale where he rented a bus and 30 of his best bros went to a baseball game and then partied afterwards, coming home so drink he 'fell' out of the bus onto the steps of Yale law school, and later had to 'reconstruct' what happened to him.
Why would you have to reconstruct what happened to you, if you were totally coherent the entire time? And why are you falling out of a bus door?
(He was asked about this at the hearing, and he kept insisting 'I've never been black out drunk.' That really didn't answer the question of what he had to 'reconstruct' the next day. )

So at what point to we declare the civil war over and divide up into two different nations?
Give everyone six months to move to the part of the country they want to be a resident of, then split the country up between the reds and blues.
The red states can create their state religion, pass laws on appropriate female dress codes, adjust their laws to more perfectly match biblical law, and make it mandatory for everyone to display their country flag, which will be the old American flag with a golden cross superimposed on it. The blue states will make gendered pronouns illegal, legalize all drugs, criminalize overly large soda drinks, and pass health insurance for everyone.
Trust me - we're in a bad marriage, we'd all be much happier if we stopped fighting and just divorced already.

After W got placed into office, there was a map going around emails with the United States of Canada and Jesusland (I believe it was called) on it. I'd be all for joining Canada.

He was on national TV..live..one of the major news networks not just in States coverage but world wide...facial recognition...name recognition so if he was not truthful...I expect it would have been easily picked up and so reported...so yes his own admission but what not to believe. As I have suggested...your only purpose here seems to be to ...suggest also, it is getting old.

So now your suggesting she lied to the Senators? You did watch her testimony right? Even the Republicans didn't suggest that she was untruthful...even most claimed they were moved by her testimony but the great AS has it down...she lied.. un F believable....I'm a bit lost for words.....[sheesh] ability to beat a professionally administered poly graph because she has a doctorate in a field of Psychology..?... ...Keep it up with the …..classic.
