I think it's very sad and funny the powers that are against the SC nominee had to go back to his HIGH SCHOOL years to find any dirt on him. Diane Feinstein is a real piece of work. Oh, no! What bothers me is not the fact that as a teenager he did something not very appropriate. When asked “ have you ever been...or done...” he could’ve said “not to my recollection” or “there might have been some incident...” or something that would’ve made him look like there is a possibility tha he made a mistake! A stern no implies absolute denial and that would translate into perjury given the circumstances. Conservatives were quick to make noise and shake fingers when it came to Bill Cosby! Trump himself DEMANDED that the teenagers tha5 allegedly committed rape/sexual assault in Central Park be executed for that heinous crime. Turns out that they didn’t and ALL of them were under17 at the time. What changed?

www.abajournal.com/news/article/aba_committee_gives_kavanaugh_a_well-qualified_rating_hearings_begin_today Kavanaugh met his wife, Ashley, when they were both working in the Bush White House.
When working for the independent counsel, Kavanaugh helped write Starr’s report arguing that President Bill Clinton could be impeached for lying to his staff and misleading the public. He also suggested 10 sexually explicit questions for President Clinton about his relationship with Monica Lewinsky.
“The president has disgraced his office, the legal system and the American people, ” Kavanaugh wrote in his memo to Starr, “by having sex with a 22-year-old intern and turning her life into a shambles—callous and disgusting behavior that has somehow gotten lost in the shuffle.”
But Kavanaugh argued in another memo to Starr that the independent counsel should not pursue an indictment of Clinton while he was in office. He expressed a similar view in a 2009 law review article arguing that Congress should pass laws to protect presidents from criminal and civil cases until they have left office. Impeachment rather than indictment is the best way to deal with a president who “does something dastardly,” he wrote.

This guy is an idiot. Trump questions why Kavanaugh accuser didn't call the FBI after alleged assaultPresident Donald Trump deviated from his previously measured comments about the woman who has accused his Supreme Court pick Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault when he questioned Thursday why the woman didn't call the police 36 years ago, when she says the incident happened. "Why didn't somebody call the FBI 36 years ago? I mean you could also say when did this all happen, what's going on? To take a man like this and besmirch -- now with that being said, let her have her say and let's see how it all works out," Trump said during an interview on Fox News just before his rally in Las Vegas. Trump is an idiot. I guess he's too self-involved to remember most sexual assaults are not federal issues.

No one suggests it must be a lie because the altar boys didn't call the FBI when they were assaulted.
But when a 15 year old girl comes forward 30 years later to talk about being physically assaulted, suddenly now the rule is if you didn't report it to the FBI when it happened, it must not have happened?

Ok, what is the score on this, We have the accuser Ms. Ford, We now have a classmate that really did not know her but heard something about this!
That is 1-1/2 for the accuser. On the other side, we have Kavanaugh,, who denies everything,,
We have Judge, who denies everything, We have two other known but un named people that won't return an calls,, meaning they don't want any part in this! We have sixty five people that have worked right with Kavanaugh,, that only have the highest regard for him! Looks like 69 to 1-1/2,, score is a little lopsided! The American Bar Association (ABA) unanimously gave its highest rating to Judge Kavanaugh.
That is not counting the Bar.
For all your howling, pissing and moaning about people who have lied under oath, you support Kavanaugh? Hypocrisy. You speak out of both sides of your face. Allegations Against Kavanaugh Must Be Investigated, as Must His Lies Under Oath Senator Grassley is rushing things because he knows a thorough inquiry could derail the Kavanaugh nomination. www.thenation.com/article/allegations-against-kavanaugh-must-be-investigated-as-must-his-lies-under-oath/There you go pissing into the wind again!

Sadly this double standard has been around for awhile. Anyone accusing a rich and/or powerful man is only in it for the money and book deal according to new conservative thought. (Not all conservatives thankfully, but this a thought worm created on the right that has infected many.)
I think the altar boys got grief for not doing it sooner, but there is strength in numbers and it appears the media is more sympathetic to men who were sexually assaulted as boys than women who were sexually assaulted as girls. MO. YMMV.

Speaking about double standards, remember Mollie Tibbetts, the tragic college student in Iowa who was murdered by a brown guy, and all the hoopla about murderous illegals flooding our country to murder our beautiful white girls? It was all over conservative media.
Now we have a second poor unfortunate girl, also an Iowa college student killed by toxic masculinity, only this time, it was a white guy who did it.
So - I guess women getting randomly murdered on golf courses in the middle of the day is just the price you pay for being a single unprotected female out in public and not worth commenting on, but Mollie Tibbetts was a pawn destroyed due to the liberal effort to import murderous Mexican gang members and her death is a tragedy?

They save the most "liberal" and "lenient" and compassionate standards for themselves and their wants/needs.

It also has the homophobic angle going.... homosexuals ONLY prey on boys after all. I'm pretty sure a priest sexually assaulting a woman/girl (or even a priest having a consenting mistress on the side) wouldn't cause much of a stir or be very news worthy or require the priest to be defrocked or whatever they call it.

This is not a squeaky clean good candidate.
Bean …….. who is?
One other thought ………. If this really happened, why, at the age of 15, was she at a party with drinking? If this really happened, he was 17 and both were juveniles, therefore underage records are sealed.
Sorry people but I still think dems had to look long and hard to find anything like this. Wonder how much money has changed hands.
This is ludicrous ……..
As far as the Catholic priests are concerned …… they had more than one victim throughout their careers ……..

Apparently, yes. With my apologies to Willie Nelson for cherry picking the lyrics of his song but this is the part that the repubs would like to come true regarding the above statements: ♫ And it always will be And it always will be And it always will be It always will be There are some things I think about And every time I do it breaks my heart And there is nothing I can do ♫

Agreed. Priests with consenting women, doesn't seem to cause much of a stir although the Catholic church apparently frowned more on Priests and Nuns getting it on over Priests with anyone else.

You can be a good judge but still have attempted to rape someone as a teen. Can you be a FAIR Supreme Court justice with regards to women if you’ve already lied under oath and been credibly accused of attempted rape? Under oath, I seem to have missed that, where was it that he lied under oath?? Creditable? 35 years later,,, with absolutely NO proof what so ever!!

I don’t know any conservatives that were all over Bill Cosby. Most asked for proof not innuendo.

What went wrong in your life that you believe being mean and nasty is the best course for you? Works for other here!! I'm going to warn you now, AS, it's about to stop working for you. This is a very sensitive subject. There are some here, I have no doubt, who have experienced sexual assault/rape. They don't need your particular brand of nastiness. It's not funny. It's not cute. It's not helpful; nor is it conducive to civil discussion. Cool your jets and back off the pugnacious rhetoric. mmhmm, Politics Moderator
