The 65-year-old Earvin sustained 15 rib fractures and two dozen or more abrasions, hemorrhages and lacerations.
and,,, The corrections department initially said it didn't have any documents related to the incident. It denied AP's first request for records in July, and when the news organization appealed to the attorney general's public access counselor, the department responded that it had turned everything in its possession over to the FBI , and didn't even have copies of its own investigative reports. It later acknowledged it had found copies. The counselor ruled last week that the department had not fully complied with the Freedom of Information Act.
Six months after the investigation started,, no results,,, Hmmmmm,
Police investigating police works every time!

Oh Boy!! This little thread, that I post,, reminds me of Trump and Comedians,, Having Trump for President give the Comedians an endless stream of material to use in their routines. Everyone laughs and makes fun at Trumps expense!
Having police do constant stupid things, give Me an unending source of things to post! Except when the police do stupid things people die! That fact seems to be lost here.

So these are highly trained personnel screwing up basic gun safety; but every Joe should be carrying to keep us all safe from bad guys with guns.

This, for me, is one of those tough ones. He will not be a repeat offender if not locked up. His time as a police officer is done. So any prison time is pure punishment for him personally. And it could be seen as a warning to others in his previous position. I think 3 years in prison for a 53 year old man isn't too little/much for the Florida taxpayers to pay. I just don't know on deterrence. "Finding scapegoats will make me look good and if I get caught I would only be facing the end of my career and 3 years in prison. I'm okay with that risk." What would be the length of time that would be effective?

What would be the length of time that would be effective? I n oticed the judge sentenced him for three more months than the prosection asked for, so I guess there is your answer. I get it the defendents were not exactly stand up citizens, but think of it this way. If it were your son or nephew that was illegally charged and convicted, would the sentence of the chief be considered an adequate amount? Maybe you might. I probably would not, and if you think about it, the black community looks at the police force in this light. Makes me feel much more compasionate about the argument of police over reach. This was not about race per se, since everyone inviolved was black. It is about the blue line police morals.

... think of it this way. If it were your son or nephew that was illegally charged and convicted, would the sentence of the chief be considered an adequate amount? ... I think that is a dangerous path. What does the widow who has an eighteen year old break into her house and steal her wedding ring she had left on the kitchen sink think is an appropriate punishment? What does the father who had a child killed in a drunk driving incident? We could easily end up with a large number of people in prisons for an extremely long time. I would ask that any statement that starts with, "I support long periods of imprisonment" continue with "and tax increases to pay for them."

Leslie Merritt Jr. was falsely arrested, held in solitary confinement for seven months over flawed lab and investigative work!! Three years to come to the first settlement Wonder how long the other dept. will stall this off?? The huge shame is the fact that the people responsible for this miscarriage of justice,, it will cost them nothing!!
Great job LT. COL. Frank Milstead,,,,, did you actually catch the one that really did this?? Nope you have not!!! I bet you still have undercover people following Merritt around hoping to catch him,, doing any thing,,,

Now that we have normalized taking people's kids at the border, why not start taking them at the Food Stamp office too? It's her own damn fault for sitting on the floor when she got tired.

Justified shooting?? He said more than an hour later, he was released but made to stand outside his home while police searched it. Police had indicated in an initial report about the shooting that there may be a second suspect. No second suspect has since been mentioned by police.
Julie Ann Bravo, another resident of the home, said officers searched the property without permission or a search warrant. Bravo said the home's occupants — including a 71-year-old woman — were forced to wait outside until 10 or 11 p.m as officers conducted their search.
Why would police search the victum's home??

Since we make such a big deal about people lying here,,,
Tempe police spokesman told CNN affiliate KNXV that the teen turned and faced the officer.
or, "The suspect turned toward the officer, at which time the officer perceived a threat and fired his service weapon," Sgt. Ron Elcock said.
Annnnnd, the video that police had in hand at the time shows,,,,,,,,,,,,
Since the police are the ones that hold the evidence,, ,,,,,,,,,,,, Police investigating police, works every time,,, How many time have We seen only after the video is out, We get to see what did happen,, sometime years later then and only then are charges filed,, remember the police had this evidence all along.

Revisiting the reason I was looking at Wichita Ks. police shooting of a innocent man, Andrew Finch was to see the aftermath of the shooting. It is not pretty! We have a SWATTING ( Hoax call) to the Witchia Ks. police, They show up at the residence of Andrew Finch, deploying officer around his home,
Finch steps out on to his porch to see what the commotion is,,,,
At least three police officers, in three different positions, shout three different commands!! Less than ten seconds later Andrew Finch is shot by a police officer at least fifty yards away across the street,, wounding him, where he died later at a hospital!! The family is now handcuffed, removed from the residence,, the home searched,, many thing confiscated!! Remember this is a completely innocent man,, Nearly a week after the shooting, Andrew Finch’s mother Lisa Finch wrote to the Wichita mayor and police chief stating that she doesn't know where they're keeping her son’s body and she wants to give him a "proper funeral service and burial." "Please let me see my son's lifeless body," she wrote in a letter dated January 3. In this same letter, Mrs. Finch asked why the police officer who killed her son had not, at that time, been identified, why the family was handcuffed, and when police will return their belongings, including two cell phones and a computer, seized from the house.
Wichita police say a man who was fatally shot by an officer Thursday evening was unarmed but had put his hands by his waistband multiple times during commands to raise them.
Officers gave him several verbal commands to put his hands up and walk towards them. The male complied for a very short time and then put his hands back down to his waist. The officers continued to give him verbal commands to put his hands up, and he lowered them again.
“The male then turned towards the officers on the east side of the residence, lowered his hands to the waistband again, then suddenly pulled them back up towards those officers at the east.
“The officers on the north side of the street feared the male pulled a weapon from his waistband, retrieved a gun and was in the process of pointing it at the officers to the east. Fearing for those officers’ safety, the officer on the north side fired one round.”
He did all this in under ten seconds?? Lying cops!!! Now that the police realize that they have shoot an innocent man,,,,,, They go out of their way to help the devastated family ,,, Right?? Not at all,
So Congratulations to the Wichita Ks police dept, for their above and beyond service to the Community!! Now if a police officer would have killed,, there would have been memorial, all kinds of fund raisers, then the day of the funeral hundreds of other "Brothers In Blue" would come in for the memorial,, Closing the the Freeways for hours, Fire trucks, police vehicles, police helicopters overhead, for the procession,,, Andrew Finch got to stay in the morgue for some time and the family got nothing but grief,,,,
Yes,,, Way to go,, all you Public Servants,,,

When the FBI shoots someone who Investigates? Kinda funny that We talk about the checks and balances, within our government, why we have different branches,
FBI and police check and balance themselves!!
I need that myself, the next time I go thru an IRS audit,,,
Yaaaa, I get to do it myself or at worse, My good friend and business partner will check my math and approve it,,,,
That works for me!! Police investigating police works every time!

The officer tased the suspect eleven times, even though the subject was not resisting!!! So why did it take one and a half years for the Glendale police department to do something?? Was this only after the news people started their own investigation? Police investigating police , works every time!

Hmmmm, police officer intentionally tasers the subject in the testicles more than once,,
Subject was jailed for several months, until All charges were dropped!! Police officer know that they can do any thing they want to you,, They can kill you,, beat you,, taser you ,, file false charges,, plant evidence, anytime they want,, Full well knowing that the Department will back you up, suppress evidence erase video, fail to investigate,
Only when either thru going to court, or some one happens to have independent video,, does the police do something, months and years later! The Brotherhood of Blue,, America"s Most Dangerous Street Gang!!! Only a few of the thousands of police abuse ever make it to public broadcast!!! Way to go America,, Protecting those who would tase you in the testicles in a New York second,,

Listening to the local talk radio here yesterday, they said that at one point, the police pulled down the man pants, used the taser directly to the man's testicles!! The police dept, covered this up for a year and half, Maricopa Co. investigated ,, did nothing!! Now, even the Governor has call this a cover up, Maricopa attorney office is now going to reopen this,,, Really, Really, why the hell didn't you do something the first time!!! Police investigating police works every time!!! Why is it that this has to show up in the Media,, before you can do your job How about firing everyone involved in the cover up,, Police Chief, Captains, lieutenants, Sargent's,,
Then start at the Prosacuter office, Start at the top work your way down!!! pull all their credentials,, cause they are not creditable any more!!
Bureau of Standard my Ass!! Bureau of Protect Your blue Line Buddy!!
Maybe the next time they might do their job!!
