Was looking at Amazon yesterday, and noticed if I change my default payment to Discover, they will "gift" me $10. So I did. I haven't spent it yet, so, I guess I saved future $10?

I didn't spend extra $$$ at Costco today, not even $1.35 for nonfat yogurt! I got the kleenex multipack and 200-ct garbage bags I went for. I could make a long list of what I resisted, but actually I tried not to look.
My willpower is pretty impressive, huh? I still managed to spend $36 somehow.

I again came home for dinner and had leftovers This is becoming a habit. I am working much less hours and have more time to prepare food. Another thing, fast food meals are now $8. I can't believe it. Outrageous.

DH and I did a small demolition project ourselves instead of paying our local handyman to do it for us. Turned out not to be as much of chore as we had anticipated. Savings ~$50.

Bought 2 dresses and a skirt off the clearance rack at Macy's for $50 for all 3. One dress is for a wedding Saturday and the other two pieces can be worn to work.

Went for a pet sitting interview today. Turned out the family travels almost every month. The money will go toward paying off my car. Saving interest.

DH goes to a clinic attached to a research hospital so you have to pay for parking. It is usually $3 - $5 each time.
I bought a senior parking pass that provides 30 visits for $30. That will likely cover a year or more. He's had 4 visits in the last month so that would have been $15 - $20 toward it.

-Saved $38.29 at the grocery store by shopping the sales and using e-coupons -Saved .40/gallon at the gas pump using my grocery value card -Saved $3-ish by not stopping at Sonic despite the fact it's 95+ degrees outside -Earned $75 toward a gift debit card via DH's health insurance by going in for my well-woman's check-up -Continuing to save $120 a month by ordering 2 prescriptions via home delivery for a 90-day supply each time

Saved .70 per gallon at the gas pump using Fred Meyer Fuel Rewards (filled DH's truck for maximum savings)
Saved a total of 47% off my grocery bill. I used paper and digital coupons added to the military discount at Fred Meyer and shopped the sales along with Just4U digital coupons at Safeway. Also paid for the groceries at Safeway with a discounted gift card I purchased back in June.
Scanned both grocery receipts for Ibotta rebates. Not a lot of savings but it's gradually adding up.

I contacted a contractor myself instead of accepting a high quote from my management company for rental fence replacement. I could save $$$ on this project.

Our vacuum (after only nine years) is failing. So, have been pricing them. Found one that I like. Retail around here $349.
Amazon on sale with a coupon, $279. Minus the $10. gifted from Discover, and rewards points, out of pocket, $139. Hope we like it. Still pack leftovers for lunch. Try to cook at home vs going out.

I'm continuing to cook and eat from the freezer and pantry; have focused on things approaching the end of their shelf life.
But today I "found" three boxes of mixed "dented" produce at the store, priced to be bought quickly. Eggplant/aubergine, zucchini/courgette, carrots, parsnips, leek, parsley, sweet/bell peppers,...... I'm glad I went by car and not by bike! At present, I have at least generous 15 servings of stew cooked from that produce in the freezer. Guesses on what is for dinner are probably not necessary at this point....
DH's commented I was making fast food. He is right, it is faster to raid the freezer than to drive to get take-away, and much cheaper, since take-away will cost about $8 to $14 per head, plus the gas and car mileage.

Stayed home and out of the stores (brick & mortar and the internet).
Annual water treatment system check being done today. I set money aside each month into a special "preventive maintenance" account just for these annual visits. Next week it's the septic guy. Necessary but not much fun...

I bought a chair yesterday for $25 off the FB trading sites. It is solid, heavy, and has arms so DH can push up. It is for his bedroom. The style is a little much -- Chippendale with a lot of intricate carving--but it suits his needs.

I sold a baseball parking pass I don't need. I got most of my money back and it sold within 12 hours of me posting it. I'm glad to be done with it.

Have been looking for a bird bath to replace the one that had succumbed to old age and literally fell to pieces. Found one we liked and asked for a discount since it was the display model and the last one in stock. Saved 20%.

The second pair of concert tickets finally sold today. I'm sad that we can't attend but I double booked myself earlier in the year. I didn't have all my dates in my planner in February when I bought the concert tickets.
I only lost $50 on the four after StubHub's cut so I'm happy. I probably could have got closer to break even but I wanted to make sure they sold. And I paid for them back in February so I'm just happy to get money back.

I made my first pot of bean soup for this upcoming fall and winter. 10 individual containers are now in the freezer. I have 2 other recipes I usually make and will also buy 4-5 containers of Wendys chili for the freezer.

I avoided a City craft show and a few garage sales. (I really wanted to go to the craft show) Instead I adulted.
Today I'll do some meal preps for my work breakfast and lunches.

Yesterday I stopped at Walgreens to pick up a Rx.
I had noticed that they had some laundry detergent on sale, and we were low, so I grabbed a bottle. When I was paying for the Rx, I was reminded that it was senior citizen day.
Pharmacy tech kind of looked sheepish when she told me that. She also mentioned she probably hadn't made too many friends that day mentioning that. Heck, I was good with it. Saved 20% on the on sale laundry detergent.

The young woman was discreet when she asked me, which I appreciated, LOL. My 69-year-old friend said between 40-60 we all look the same to younger folks....? Though I still have at least a decade to go, I look forward to receiving the well-earned discount.

Came home and ate out of my fridge instead of stopping for something as I wanted to do. I am so desperately craving a steak but I need to wait until I have a job. I have a disgustingly large CC bill to pay and with no money coming in to the account...

Looks like my savings will be over $500 just by hiring my own contractor to put new fences up. That's a decent chunk of savings. Someone was moving who left a few things we grabbed. Gin! Soft drinks Bubble wrap Cleaning supplies.
Figure a gin and tonic every morning will save $5 on breakfast sandwiches and coffee.

Scanned a grocery receipt into Ibotta. Even a .10 rebate helps. Completed a Fred Meyer grocery survey for an additional 50 gas reward points.
Did our own yard work.

I went to town today and only bought DD lunch at McD's, nothing else. Of course now I realize I'm out of bread and bananas, always something.
Dinner was ham salad from a piece of ham I had, was good. Also had jello, and prepped a cantoloupe, it was delicious.
