Defrosting Chicken. Not sure what I'm going to do with it...but, yep, chicken. $4.85 Pretty sure there will be salad and sides involved. Have no good ideas.

I had leftover sweet/sour pork from dinner out Wednesday night. 7 large deep fried pieces so the cost was $5.
I have some ground beef in the fridge with plans to make some mini meat loaves. I'll get that done this afternoon, have 1 tonight for dinner along with some veggies. The others will go in the freezer. Each one will have a cost of about $1.50
Instead going to lunch with a friend.

Friday night was the local Italian place by my grandma's. Tonight will be whatever she wants. Probably take out unless we get something at the store today. We will be babysitting my uncle's dog while they go to the basketball game. My dad's coming over so maybe he'll cook something.

I got turkey necks out of the freezer will cook those for me for a snack but keep the broth for noodles. Thawing out a piece of tenderloin, I'm trying to use meats that have been frozen for some time and just buy veggies, have a lot in both freezers, need to use and replace later. Fried some fish last night was not the best flavor, kept to long.
Need to go to town and get veggies, bread, and milk, low on those and is it snowing out, I mean a lot!

we went out to a local Italian place, and Ubered back. nice bottle of dry red, some other drinks, salads, bread with seasoned oil, pastas. I had chicken francese over pappardelle for my entree. I paid $65. well worth it for the night.

I have a pie iron, and I made ham, swiss, apple and crandberry sandwiches with honey mustard sauce. Pretty yummy, but I think it would have been better with turkey, but still pretty yum.
We also went out for "brunch" at 1 o'clock and I was still pretty full at 7 pm. So, one small sandwich was enough.

It seemed like a good cold weather dinner. It's a good thing we planned something as the weather got nasty after we returned home from errands. The county 911 center was telling people to just stay home.

I have pork tenderloin in the crock pot, smothered in garlic and a red wine/soy sauce au jus. that will cover me for the week, just need to figure out what my side will be tonight. either roasted potatoes or some mushroom and asparagus risotto. hmm...

Made New Mexico style green chile stew and it's been simmering for the past half hour- instead of the pork I added a couple of cans of beans. The whole house smells of onions, garlic and green chiles.

Actually, didn't do the chicken the other day. Instead it was pork roast, baked beans, and cauliflower. Same cost.
Today is the chicken with roasted potatoes, salad and green beans.

Oh, and Thyme, I really love your idea: (couldn't find a way to double quote) My new favorite "easy" meal. I freeze leftover chicken (from a rotisserie or whatever) and freeze leftover brown rice (I always make a double batch). If I forget to plan something - straight from the freezer into a fry pan with frozen peas and carrots. Fry it (I use sesame oil for extra flavor.) Soy sauce, scramble an egg and bam, chicken fried rice.

I had a dry basted, chipotle flavored tenderloin I cooked in the instant pot. Very good, then made potato salad and baked a pan of veggies that had been drizzled with olive oil and urban accents seasoning, was very good. Very good dinner, raspberry sherbert if anyone wants some.

there is a ton of leftover pork, so I'll be having that for dinner tonight. I think I might cook off the bag of collard greens in the fridge as well. I didn't realize that they needed to cook as long as they apparently do. I'm off today, so I'll have time

Had a salad with grilled chicken. We no longer have 2 bags in the freezer. We are slowly working through the duplicates from my house. DH went out for sushi before I got home.
Tuesday will be the chicken sausages. The last 2 pieces of squash need cooked. I'll saute those with some onion and bell pepper. Probably make a salad if I can pick through the container of spring mix and find enough good pieces.

Sunday night: DH smoked a bone in ribeye. Last night: I made crab legs with clarified butter and fried eggplant parmesan. Cost approx $18 for 2 servings. Tonight: We'll eat the last bacon wrapped pheasant DH caught a few weeks ago. Cost zero because a friend paid for his hunt. Tuesday night: Crock Pot BBQ pork ribs w/ a side veggie. Cost approx $18 for 4 servings Wed and Thurs: IDK yet. Friday: Take out from? Sat and Sun: I also don't know yet.

I brought a small container of risotto in to the office today. I'm not sure if I'm feeling that, though. I've got cans of soup and a few Lean Cuisine entrees here if I don't want to go anywhere, although I may just go somewhere to be able to drive with the windows down....in MA.....in Feb. so if I do that, I may stop at the grocery store and grab a chicken breast from the prepared foods bar to pair with the risotto and call it good.

Tonight I'm making budget bytes unstuffed peppers and hopefully I can salvage enough spring mix from the container for a side salad.
Thursday night I'm going to try egg roll in a bowl.
Friday night I have no idea. I'm in DC until 4 so who knows when I get home. I might have dinner with my brother. And DH can be on his own.

Tonight is going to be leftovers instead. I'm going to roast some broccoli to go with it. Assuming I have a bag of frozen broccoli which I think I do.
Friday I will most likely be having dinner with my brother. I found out yesterday he was in an accident and in the hospital. He's been released and says he's fine but I'd like to check up on him in person.
DH wants to have tacos Saturday and invite one of his nieces to dinner.
We've done a better job lately of getting things used up before they go bad.

tonight will be the pork, mashed and collard greens that I brought in yesterday. I went to nuke it last night and realized it was way more food than I was hungry for. last night, I nuked a Lean Cuisine meal and then snacked on some pita chips and 100cal tub of guacamole later on.
I ate earlier than normal today so I could then clean the ceramic cooktop, so I'll probably be ravenous later tonight. that works.
