andi9899, have you ever made Budget Bytes Not Refried Beans? NoNamePerson, I so totally understand! Glad you live in an area where the fish is fresh. No. I don't care for refried beans. I know, I'm the only Mexican you know that doesn't eat beans. I don't eat spicy food either. Everyone makes fun of me. I'm an odd duck.

DD and I ate in the city about 3ish. I had a cobb salad and grilled salmon, all she wanted was the spinach artichoke appetizer for dinner. At $10 that's enough. She loves it and was stuffed, we both cleaned our plates.
So home and was going to make hubs beef and noodles, but home to late. Ended up fixing him chili hot beans and kielbasa, baked potatoes, and spinach. DD ate the other half of a turkey wrap I had from Subway. I didn't eat anything. I have part of a Cornish game hen I may heat and eat later.. Hubs and I have polished off the rest of a bag of turtles, NOT diet food. But they were sooooo good.
I cooked beef in the instant pot, going to make noodles with it for tomorrow, should be a good beginning for dinner, yummm.

Grabbed a turkey sandwich on my trip tonight. I think it was $3?
Tomorrow night maybe pizza? Or leftovers from lunch.
Sunday night I will be traveling again.
Monday night I'm think soup and sandwiches. I have an appointment after work so I'll be late getting home.

Dinner wasn't very good, the beef didn't have much flavor and the beef base seasoning I used didn't help much.
Think tomorrow night we will have tomato soup with something?

I had to look that up, is that considered healthy? I'm just asking have no idea. I like duck but I know it is really fat I was taught when you bake it put it on a rack so it drains off. But it sure sounds like something I would like, of course.
I have half of a Cornish game hen I baked last night left. I may get it out and eat it, didn't eat much for dinner, didn't like it. DD would eat it with rice, hubs would not.

I went and drank beer with my dad this evening, so I didn't make the soup. I did buy the cauliflower though. Tonight's dinner is a turkey burger. Soup is definitely tomorrow.

dinner tonight was a big chicken Caesar salad. I'm munching on pretzels now while I watch baseball. I'm also having a very hard time understanding why a game played in LA gets a 5pm EST first pitch while one played in Houston gets the 845pm (by the time.the LA game was over) first pitch. huge emphatic thumbs down.

Sunday night I had the last of the leftovers when I got home along with an apple.
Monday night DH bought pizza.
Tuesday night I had chili leftover from last weekend's family event and a sandwich. Minimal costs. DH made two chicken wraps with ingredients we had except for the tortillas. $0.70 for the two he used.
Wednesday night I went out with some co-workers. Cost $50 with tip. I got a to go meal for my DH. The crab cakes are amazing.
Thursday night spaghetti and garlic bread. Cost $6?
Friday I have no idea. DH is playing in a golf tournament and they don't start until noon.

Four little Chinese ladies opened up a dumpling place about 4 blocks from my house. I ordered 15 chicken, bok choy and ginger dumplings with peanut sauce. $9.00

this was tasty, I'm having seconds. I'm trying to use up the veggies in the fridge, since roommate won't bother while I'm away. I roasted some broccoli and asparagus, mixed up a bruschetta topping, and tossed in some tortellini. I think I should have made more tortellini for the volume of bruschetta and had leftovers, but oh well.

takeout night, have been running around all day. while I was out with and without the pups, roommate did a plumbing project here that his company would have charged a customer $750 to do. he covered the $100 of parts and didn't ask me for anything. so I bought him a pizza. thanks, dude. as for me, I got an order of spicy Thai chicken noodle soup from the place around the corner. I won't likely see much fresh good food next week on the boat, and this is loaded with vegetables. yummm

Tonight was "let's clean out the freezer and use up open packages" night ... which means dinner was cauliflower tots, pizza rolls, and chicken pupusas.

Welp, last night's lamb that I purchased last week ended up being 3 weeks past it's use or freeze by date. NOT happy, but I do have the receipt, and I'll return it this evening. Like I have time.... Last night: Smoked beef (sale), tomatoes from DH's garden (the last of them) and green beans (from a Sam's Club multi pack). $3.50
Tonight: Something with ground beef, turnip fries. $5
Tues: Fish and shrimp, sauteed baby spinach. $10
Wed: Leftovers? IDK yet... $0.00
Thurs: In the big city $?.??
Fri: Take out from? DH buys
Sat: Halloween party. Cannot believe it's here already! Budgeted $300 for food and booze.
Sun: Party leftovers. $0.00

Sunday night we had take out. The beef wasn't thawed for beef and broccoli. DH ordered, picked up and paid but I'm guessing $20ish.
Monday beef and broccoli over rice. Cost $9?
Tuesday night chicken enchiladas. I have no idea on costs. I bought the tortillas when we made fajitas. Chicken from the freezer.
Wednesday night will be leftovers. Thursday is trash day.
Thursday night dinner at the tailgate. No idea what our menu is this week or what we'll be contributing. I should check on that.
Friday eating out as we'll be on the road.
Saturday either my dad will be in town and we will probably go out or go to DH's sister for the Halloween party.
