yikes, empress!!
last night, I made a box of Kraft dinner spirals and was in bed by 930. today I've been way more productive, including cooking. I threw fixins in the crock pot for black bean chicken. since the last time I made it I have switched to a brand of canned beans that has pretty much zero sodium, so after shredding the chicken I added more spices and stirred it all together. it's on warm for now, I think an hour of that should be plenty of time to get it all cooked in.
dinner will likely be tacos with that as filling. I might make some rice, idk.

Last night: DH smoked beef ribs, and I made turnip French fries. $12
Tues: Since I refuse to turn on the oven in 98 degree weather, I'm going to make calzones out of Fathead pizza dough and fry them. We'll see how they turn out. $5
Wed: Cod, shrimp, veggie. $7
Thurs: Mongolian lamb, veggie. $11
Fri: Leftovers $0.00
Sat: Take out from? Sun: I'll ask DH to BBQ or smoke something Have a wonderful week, everyone. PS: NoNamePerson, I was going to make the beets Friday, but they had already turned mushy. I had no idea beets were so sensitive.

Iggy aka IG - what about grilling those calzones? I hear you on the oven though. I ran both crock pots both days this weekend, and grilled a turkey burger once as well.

Went out for Indian food last night. It was SO much food! $19.00. Supper tonight is leftovers. Butter chicken, rice, samosa, curried vegetables and na'an bread.

[snip] A head's up if you make this: Read the feedback first. Some folks found it a bit dry, and some added flavored cream cheese and/or Rotel, etc. I added the chicken breasts frozen. DH said it wasn't too dry. I served it on top of baby spinach and added sour cream and Taco Bell sauce. Made enough for 4 servings.

It depends on whether the baseball game is rained out. If it isn't something at the park.

BBQ pork sliders Thanks to whoever mentioned the Instant Pot was on sale during Prime day. I got the Crock Pot version and have used it every day since I got it! LOL Tomorrow I'm trying a banana bread recipe in it.

Last night we had tortellini and three cheese marinara sauce. Not my favorite but we used the package of tortellini from the freezer and DH cooked.
Tonight I'm thinking cheddar sausage dogs topped with sauteed peppers and onions, salad and the half package of tots from the freezer.
Friday night we have a baseball game so eating at the park.

This is just what some called the crock pot version of the "upright" insta pot - think this is called the gem six - maybe I misunderstood the question!!! Think shape is the only difference ??

yeah, idk. the other thing I was thinking was that maybe Rival brand had an instant pot? Rival is who has the "crock pot" name.

Gotcha = crock pot has sorta become generic name over the years like Kleenex and other brands.

I ate a bunch of sugar yesterday afternoon and felt icky the rest of the evening, so I didn't eat dinner last night. Tonight I'm going to happy hour and will probably get chicken wings. The ones at the bar we usually go to are really good.

I just made chicken parm with macaroni. It's not homemade gravy (sauce for the non-Italians) but we like the canned gravy when it's doctored up.
