I just cooked bacon for a BLT tonight. I have some leftovers from my sister's visit. But then I love BLTs.

We had t bones on the grill, baked potatoes, corn on the cob, and I'm baking a small cake with chocolate icing.
The t bones were on sale for $4.99 a pound, they were good too.

I cooked off some tater tots and added some shredded cheese when they were almost done. that went with a turkey sandwich on scala bread, I fried some deli turkey in a small pan with olive oil and a lot of cracked black pepper and melted some cheese over the heat.

last night, we didn't end up grilling at the beach. it was way too fucking crowded and roommate and I were already over the people around us by the time we were able to pull 1st line to shore and let the pups go swimming. somehow on the way home, roommate's brain wandered into the dark and stormy while we were chatting about what to do the rest of the weekend and he basically pulled in the driveway and went to bed. I unloaded the cooler, showered off the sunscreen and bug spray, and went to the dive bar for cheap eats/drinks and the Sox game. I was fading when my friend T hit me up to ask if I was still around to watch the 2nd half of the game, and then my roommate walked in a little while later. we ultimately stood/sat around shooting the shit for hours, getting home well after midnight. the bill was $42. he had 3 captain & diet cokes, I had a bacon/onion/pepper pizza (with leftovers) and hmm....I lost count by the end of the night.....but stoli razz 'n sodas. 5? idk. lots of water, too. but $42? I love my dive bar.

We had barbecue, mac and cheese, baked beans. Hubs got a strawberry cake and ice cream, he didn't know I was baking one and I didn't know he was buying one.

We went to Vancouver and had dim sum with my MIL for lunch. Just grazing this evening for dinner, there is leftover pasta, lamb and chili in the fridge.

Friday night we had dinner out before the baseball game. A friend paid since we bought the tickets and drove.
Saturday night we had a cookout at DH's sister to celebrate Father's Day. I contributed ice cream and a chocolate cake. Cost me around $8 to make?
Sunday night we had cheddar sausages topped with sauteed pepper and onion and sweet potato tots. Cost $7?
Monday night is chicken tacos from a Green Giant recipe. It's a broccoli rice steamer bag, black beans and shredded chicken in soft tacos size tortillas. Cost $6?
I'm very happy I threw a few pounds of chicken breast in the Crock-Pot a couple weeks ago. I shredded it and froze it in one cup portions. It's helped with easy dinners.

roommate suggested getting pub grub tonight, figuring I'd be mush after day 1. he's right, and it's only halfway through the day. information overload for sure.
for the rest of the week, I've got two family packs of chicken tenders to cook/freeze (may do up one of each) and the remaining chili turkey burgers I grilled yesterday. I figured on crumbling one and making tacos one night. I had one for lunch with pasta salad when I ran home to let the pups out. I love that I stopped for an iced coffee around the time I had been before, but my work day is already half over and I'm 10 minutes up the street!

I'm thinking leftover barbecue, making some cole slaw and the rest of the baked beans. May make DD some ham salad for today and tomorrow for her and I to snack on. I'm also going to make fajitas either tomorrow night or the next day. I bought 6 cans of cherries for $2.50 each on sale, will bake a pie one day.

Spaghetti and garlic bread tonight. Cost approximately $6.50.
I need to see what other proteins we have in the freezer for the rest of this week.

I was craving carbonara, but went with a salad instead. sauteed some chicken tenders with an offensive amount of garlic and shredded them. used half of it to toss in a big Caesar salad if a chopped romaine heart, shaves parmesan, homemade croutons and a creamy garlic dressing. yum!

not carbonara, but similar. good old Italian comfort food - linguine with peas and pancetta, with some sauteed chicken and a very good cabernet. no idea on cost, I think the bag of frozen peas was $1, I might have used half a cup. pancetta was $3/package, I used less than 1/4, chicken tenders were bought in value pack on stupid sale. anything else was already here. oh wait, the bottle of cab was $16. I remember that lol...

Tomorrow DH is on his own. I'm meeting my aunt after work for dinner. She's in town for a few days.

Even DH liked it. I used tomato paste in lieu of sauce in order to use up the freezer leftover. I added an additional 1LB of chicken tenders to round out the leftover rotisserie chicken. I also tossed in a handful of baby spinach toward the end, and didn't use rice.

I kind of want takeout tonight, I just don't think I have it in me to cook. I have a bunch of things to clean out of the fridge from not having ever grilled the stuff we brought to the beach on Saturday. ew.
so maybe I'll get sushi and rice noodles from the place I like in the outdoor mall. I need to hit Old Navy to return some stuff, I could do that tonight. weird, will be my first time coming off Cape in over a week. that sounds so weird, but it's finally my new normal!

I thawed a package of angus beef cut into kabob size. Not sure what I'm going to do with it. Maybe cut it into smaller pieces and do stir fry or cut the pieces in half and throw it into the slow cooker and make some stew...I have all the ingredients for that idea.
Chiv, your picture looks absolutely yummy!!!!!!!

thick or thin? if thick, cut a pocket into the side, stuff with garlic wilted spinach and cheese. sear the chop in the pan you wilted the spinach in, and finish in the oven. (Will go look up time/temp if you want). this is amazing, trust. me if thin, season with rosemary and grill. or just grill plain and make pork fried rice.

No supper tonight. I just am not hungry.
DH is in the hospital, and I ate two of the worst meals I have ever eaten. They were out of most breakfast foods in the hospital cafeteria so what was left sucked. I needed to move my car out of the Emergency parking area so I went by Burger King. But I decided to be good and only have a Whopper, Jr. It was ok (not good, but ok), but no one told me they didn't have regular diet coke. Coke Zero is truly awful for someone used to diet coke.
I am not looking forward to meals tomorrow either.

Pizza and cake to celebrate FIL's birthday. I will call in the pizza and pick it up on the way to in laws.
I'm on travel for work starting Monday so DH is on his own for dinner.
